The key thing that I have learnt about fussy or non eating cats over the decades has been the need to sterilize their food bowls with boiling water every time, before they are fed ...cats have an extremely keen sense of smell and will often turn down food that has been put into a dirty bowl or left out for hours and then topped up with more food . The other thing that is really important is that cats need to be able to smell their food so it needs to be at room temperature when served. Food straight from the fridge has no smell is cold and unappetising and is therefore often refused.
I'm so thankful for this video. Our old lady is 19 and keeping weight on her is so hard. I'm constantly offering her different foods. I know she loves eggs and giving her the yolk is a wonderful idea. Thank you very much!
Sorry to hear of your loss fella, we were in the same position in 2010 when we lost our tigger. Very similar looking cat to yours, he died at 14 from bowl cancer, we had him from birth and was another family member, the pain will ease with time.
Simon swan Thank you Simon... your kind words at the time really gave my heart a lift when I needed it most. i subsequently lost my other cat a year later !... It never gets any easier and we always feel a little guilty wondering if we could have spotted somehing earlier or done more. Sorry I couldn't reply at the time but I didn't want to join Google+ in order to reply . Now Google have forced me to join ...
I am in the US. I took my cat to the vet. She recommended the Hill’s Prescription Diet a/d Urgent Care cat food which I purchased at the vets. It’s $70 a case approximately. Works well. My 22 year old cat is undergoing tests so not sure yet what the problem is for weight loss/decreased appetite..But the urgent care food has helped a lot and my cat is almost back to eating normally.

when my cat was diagnosed with highblood pressure, & hyperthyroidism I stared doing my own research on the diseases, check this out if your cat is loosing weight
Thanks for posting this tip. I'm going to try it for my elderly cat. She's now 14 and although she eats quite well I've recently noticed she's lost weight. I've been feeding her natures menu senior along with royal canin aging cat. Recently she's been put off food and is always really thirsty
I think in this condition you will have to force feeding your cat... cooked beef meat or chicken mixed with egg in the mixer to create a paste forum.. 3 times a day... ever since I gave my cat cat food he got sick when I stopped it he became better I think there's something wrong with the cat food products that is causing cancer and other illness
Hi there! Have to kittens. One with 16 weeks (A) and the other is 12 (B). A is completely Alpha and he is gain weight normally. B didnt gain 1g in one week. Even when I put them to eat separated, B eats just a little. The vet gave a medication / cream to increase the apetite but isnt working, till now. Tried some different brands of wet / dry food but doesnt make too much difference. He eats! But eats not enough. He is active and behave normally but I dont know what to do. Almost taking him to a seafood restaurant, with me. Maybe I gonna eat more, as well. =) Many thanks to all in advance!
I would recommend that you ask your Vet to refer you to a specialist or consult another Vet because your current Vet doesn't seem to be taking this seriously. I would suggest that you buy a big syringe 50ml + and some special kitten milk supplement and feed your kitten with the syringe. She should take it easily because it will be like suckling. Don't force feed or squirt it down the throat just gently squeeze some into the side oh her mouth and let the cat swallow it at its own pace. Don't be tempted to give your cat human milk because most cats cannot digest cows milk and will get diorhea. Ask your Vet to recommend a suitable milk supplement
I'm from Melbourne "australia", my 6 month young boy stopped eating and drinking water and he refuses to eat or drink, we are 4 later and the vet's said there is nothing wrong with him as in "blood tests" are good and there is basically nothing wrong with him.. they are saying it could be a mental problem.. so I told them he was like a lion when it comes to food, how is it possible he just stops everything just like that.. and there solution 4 weeks in is "for him to be in the vet hospital" so they take care of him.. I visit him every day and yeah they are full of shit he is dirty from toilet things he does and from force feeding they do, why is a cat always cleaning them selves because it helps with there senses.. so to come to the point we are in last days and I love my boy to bits and if you could get back to me I would do anything to chat to you, you are my last hope to get a answer. I tried everything and called all the vet's in the word and all they are after is bling bling and after that I get answers which are common and sense and no help at all.. so yeah all I know is he is coming home today and I try my self to do what's right and #1 thing is love and the right care.. so I so hope I hear from you sir.. kind regards
Berzan I am so desperately sorry that I did not see your message sooner . I would have done anything i could to help . I do not monitor this old email and youtube account anymore. I had exactly the same problem with one of my cats and the Vets were worse than useless . They never came close to finding out why She suddenly wasn't eating anything and because of the unique digestive and metabolic physiology that cats have they rarely last more than 3x weeks if they do not eat which is why Vets force feed them . The problem for cats is that their bodies are no designed to break down body fat to survive which is why in these situations the cats live off their body protein . This causes severe muscle wastage and they die very shortly after. Knowing what I do now I would take my cat home and make its life as comfortable and stress free as I could and try to bring them back to health myself after the Vets have exhausted everything. I would never have a pet of mine pass away in a veterinary clinic if I could avoid it. If I can ever be of any help you can contact me on my new youtube channel 'John Cooper ' here th-cam.com/video/tLTZZLsS528/w-d-xo.html best wishes Johnny
apologies ...this site is rarely monitored . The pill that I was giving my cat was Tumil-K which was prescribed for my Cat by the Vet. Its essential you consult your Vet before giving Tumil-K as it might be dangerous even FATAL for cats with certain kidney conditions. Here is some information I got off the net. CAUTIONS: Do not administer to cats with acute, oliguric, anuric, or very advanced renal failure. Do not administer when high potassium levels may be encountered, such as adrenal insufficiency, acute dehydration, or urethral obstruction. WARNINGS: For animal use only. Keep out of the reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact a health professional immediately.
The oldest cats in record (age 32, belonging to the same man) were fed broccoli and eggs. So are you slightly warming the egg yolk? My cat is 22. Has lost weight in the last 6 months. Vet suspects thyroid problem. I am thinking of giving him colonial silver which is good for thyroid problems. But my cat only wants to eat cat food. Do you have any tips on how to get him to eat human food like canned tuna, chicken, turkey, or salmon or even sardines ? Thank you for this video !!! 😃👍
Hi Roz sorry for the late reply. I do not monitor this old channel much anymore . yes you must cook the fried egg normally otherwise your cat can get food poisoning just like we would. I fry the egg slowly and scoop hot fat on top of the yolk so that the top of the egg is cooked and turns white . If you time it right the yolk is still runny inside. I cut the egg open and scoop the hot runny yolk onto a cold dish so the it cools quickly . Once cooled I give it to my cats. Its proper real food and a million times more benfecial and nutritious than pet food which is full of rubbish that is not good for cats like rice and vegetables. Try giving your cat some mature cheese,...not the processed stuff but real cheese. Not many cats can resist cheese and its full of minerals and vitamins. make sure that your cat dishes are really clean . I always pour boiling water over my bowls to make sure they are sterile. Cats have an acute sense of smell and won't eat off a dirty plate or stale food .Good luck
John Cooper Thank you so much for your reply. I must make a correction. I am now reading that the oldest cat on record was 38 years old. Included in his diet were eggs, heavy cream, and asparagus. So you may be on to something with suggesting dairy products of eggs and cheese. I will try them. My old cat Snowy is still with me. I love ❤️ him very much and want to do all I can for him. Thank you again. Best wishes from Pennsylvania. 😃🙏
My cat lost half his weight especially in his back and hip areas. Our now vet was thinking hyper thyroid as did we. The test showed he had diabetes. He almost died of dehydration. And the vet kept him for 2 nights giving him an IV injection. He now has to have insulin. But he is very thin and we worry about his size. He is wobbly because he gave some type of Valium. We are hoping he gets back to health. We have Purina pro plain diabetic Management. He don't want it and has always been a picky eater. He would always eat treats and just the gravy from can foods like fancy feast. 3 month ago we started him on a Walmart food that he went nuts over… I mean nuts. Called hearts Delectables lickables bisque. This is when he started eating more loosing weight , drinking 2x water. Don't know if the food was the cause or not ?!?!
Hi Freddie I did reply to you several days ago but the message doesn't seem to have posted for some reason. sorry to hear that your cat is unwell. You need to get your cat eating asap. Cats digestive systems are not like dogs and they can die in as little as 3 weeks if they stop eating. Cats livers cannot process body fat back into glucose for energy like humans dogs and other mammals so they use protein instead which is why all his muscle has wasted. he has been living off his muscle for some time. Try tinned Tuna and salmon or mackrel etc all in brine not oil. Cooked chicken taken off the Sunday roast whilst still warm and chpped really fine is a favourite because the smell is strong KD and hyperthyroidism frequently go together although the KD is often not obvious until the thyroidism is treated. I found the best way to cook the egg yolk was to fry the egg and scrape the yolk out and let it cool before serving. You might find your cat finds it more tasty if you sprinkle a tiny pinch of ground sea salt into the yolk, avoid table salt its not healthy. Ground Tumil-K is much better and a excellent electrolyte to replace the potassium and sodium your cat loses through frequent drinking and urinating but ask your vet first. If your cat isn't keen to drink tap water try collecting some rain water for him. Peanut lived for many years with hyperthyroidism and KD so I expect your little buddy has many years to share with you yet.
Shai Humphries Update my cat is better than ever 6 cc of Lantus and he is playing bright eyed weight is already back , shots are easy now. We thought he was a goner .I guess he used one of his lifes. You would have never known he was sick seeing him now
I don't understand his words :( have repeated the video several times and can't understand what is the meds he is mixing with the egg. My cat is very skinny as well and I am desperate cause I have to force feed her and I hate that... She simply stops eating sometimes and loses weight at the speed of light. Vets have been useless !! They have never told me what to do or what's wrong, they say she has hair ball or something stupid with no solution to her appetite issue. Her tests show no parasites and supposedly she's ok, just a skinny cat. If someone understands what's the meds this gentleman uses in his kitty please let me know. Thanks
More L apologies if it wasn't clear. I was giving my cat Tumil-K which is a Potassium Gluconate supplement prescribed by a Vet. It is given when a cat is drinking and urinating a lot because they excrete valuable Pottasium in their urine. It is not prescribed for anorexic cats . If your cat has not eaten for a week and is losing weight you must take it to a Vet immediately and insist they do a full blood panel at the very least.Do not delay a single day as it is a life threatening condition with cats . It may just be furballs but you need to be sure that it is not causing an intestinal blockage Cats are pretty unique in the that they cannot live off their body fat as dogs and humans and other animals can. If a cat doesn't eat and keep food down for 3+ weeks then they are very likely to become critical and unable to survive. When cats convert their body fat to glucose to maintain their bodily functions the Liver gets very sick (Lipidosis) which is frequently fatal. This is what happened in February this year to my other cat Boo. We never did find out what caused a fat healthy cat ( 7Kg) to suddenly stop eating and die with the space of just 3 weeks.
+blimeyolriley Thank you so my for such fast reply, I am glad I didn't understand your words and ran to the pet pharmacy to get her that medication !!! I'd cause more damage than good yeah vets have been useless in our case so I guess I will keep my campaign trying to get as much information and education on how to heal my kitty's apetite . have a wonderful evening!
How much did it take for your cat to gain back some weight ?I saw this video and hoped for the best ,wish I did check on Peanut's progress on other videos. All cat friends (yes friends not owners) know how hard it is to loose such a devoted friend.I'm in a very similar situation and nothing seems to work.I'm just glad somehow to see there are other people who did their best for other cats.Words are pretty much useless to describe such bonds.
Somnivers apologies for the delay in replying .Thank you for your kind words I was very sorry to hear that your cat has a similar condition .I do hope that your buddy is still part of your life . Peanut had various issues including Hyperthyroidism, Heart arythmia , Renal problems and Anorexia . He had had an operation to remove part of his Thyroid but it was only partially succesful. I just decided not to put him through any more Veterinary surgery or treatment and just feed him well and give him lots of love for his remaining time with us. In the event he surprised us all and survived another 18 months in mostly good health active and not in too much pain although he had arthritus and was deaf in his last year. Sometimes Vets do not have all the answers. It saddens me to say it but most have business first and foremost in their minds and not necessarily your cats best welfare. That doesn't mean that they would knowingly be negligent or cause harm to an animal but there is a lot of pressure to give pets treatments and medication that are either non essential or unenecessary particularly when the pet is insured. I think that it is prudent for pet owners these days to take some responsibility for their pets health and carry out some research on the net . There is an amazing amount of information and advice out there from scientists and vets One of the best sites that I know is Tanya's cats , I refer to that often. www.felinecrf.org/ all the best
blimeyolriley Hi.Actually I had to put him to sleep 5 days after I wrote that comment.I discovered a lump on his lower abdomen and asked for another investigation. He had bladder cancer, some rare form that advanced very fast.I agree with you ,pet owners should do research on their own, complimentary to taking the pet to a vet.I saved my cat's life twice , once from a complete paralysis , he made a full recovery.Another time from diabetes and coma. But he was 20 years old and couldn't fight no more,it was an easy clear decision to not let him endure more suffering, but also one of the hardest things I did in my life.I was with him until the very last moment ,it was decent ,painless and he simply let go in my arms.I knew about felinecrf site and other forums and websites, did everything I could, even worked 3 months from home so I could take care of him all the time. The last weeks were so bad I had to wake up every couple of hours to help him eat and pee, he was falling on one side and couldn't get up.To make the long story short:i will never forget him. After he was gone I kept feeding the stray cats but wouldn't dare to take another one into my home.Words can not describe how much me and my gf miss him,he changed our lives.
@@blimeyolriley Good day, Doc I've been reading many of your responses and You have a WONDERFUL Heart!!! Thank YoU for All that you're caring to share😻 I'm subscribing to stay connected... G-d bless!
Are you giving your cat egg yolk raw? or do you half boil it or cook it on a pan without oil for a bit to make it less raw? and how much egg yolk per day does your cat eat?
no never give a pet raw egg or you'll likely give them food poisoning just like we can get from raw eggs I fry my eggs slowly and when they are nearly cooked I scoop hot fat over the yolk which seals the yolk . if you are careful you can cook the egg yolk but still keep it runny. then i scoop the egg yolk out of the white with a spoon onto a cold plate and wait for it to cool down before giving it to my cat. I generally gave my cat 1x egg yolk twice or three times a week but with lots of other food like tined salmon tuna and mackrell and cooked chicken and even raw prawns . All of these foods are strong smelling and can stimulate a cats appetite
My cat is 13 years old and she lost a lot of weight, when I pick her up she feels very light and bony. I can feel her skeleton through her fur. I'm very worried about her. She isn't eating very much and is throwing up her food. I buy different kinds of cat food to see which ones she likes better. My two other cats are fine though.
Tasha why have you not taken your cat to a Vet ? Will you wait until it is too late for your cat to get well again or god forbid dies ? Don't waste time asking people on youtube for advice . TAKE YOUR CAT TO A VET IMMEDIATELY . you are your cats only hope you must find the money to take her for a proper assessment by a qualified Vet. Let us know what the result is please
I recently just got this young female cat who I found in a box full of free kittens. When I got her she was relatively thin. Her hips pop out and you can very easily feel her ribs. I am trying to get her healthy again and get her to gain weight. Besides egg what else can I give her to cause her to gain weight?
Thank you for this video. My cat has KD and I think getting hyperthyroidism. Going to get him tested. I'm going to try your egg yolk trick but he's an awkward fussy thing. Be great if it works :)

@@blimeyolriley hello..I have a cat with kidneys failure and pagreatitis..I find it difficult to feed him now days. .he stops eating renal food of any kind dry or conserve food..he only eats chicken and that is not good for him..General he doesn't eat much ..and I don't know what to do anymore!!!
@@konstantinakolimpiri5313 Kontantina ....chicken is very good for your cat . Who told you it was bad ? What is very bad for any cat is dried food ,particularly any kind of biscuit including science Plan. Cats digestive systems are not designed to digest dried food , they need a predominantly protein diet ie meat. There is absolutely no essential vitamins or minerals in carbohydrate (dried food) it is nutritionally worthless Give your cat real food, natural food like they would eat in the wild. Cod Tuna, Pilchards, salmon, chicken, mackrell, egg yolks, prawns, a tiny cheese treat occasionally . The important thing i that your cat eats something that has nutritional value . I wish you both well
konstantina kolimpiri renal food is particularly unappealing to cats. And it’s not nutritious to the obligate carnivore your cat is. Cats need meat. So, cooked chicken is good, although that alone is not a balanced diet. Try different kinds of canned food, until you find something your cat likes. Canned food is preferable to kibbles because of the high moisture content, which cats need. Read the ingredients and avoid the ones that have lots of carbs - like carrots, peas, etc. You may also buy some raw food. It’s even more species appropriate than canned food. Please check this website out for information on species appropriate food. It also has a section on hyperthyroidism: catinfo.org/feline-diabetes/
unfortunately I lost my cat to hyperthyroidism 2 years ago at that time I did get her to eat until her final moments she was 14. i used a syringe to feed her , until she was able to eat on her own, but she died full of love from all her love ones..
A lot of cats actually seem underweight, but are at healthy weight. That is because we are so used to seeing fat cats, that that just becomes the norm, and healthy weight cats look underweight, because overweight has become the new average. My cat is quite slim, 6 months, only weighs 5 lbs, is actually healthy. So, don’t make your healthy cat fat!
Enjoyed your videoclip. I wish though to be adviced on the dosage of potassium gluconate you give your cat daily. Will appreciate any info you may provide... Thanks. Maria Anderson
My cats like boiled eggs, how did you cook the egg yolk and how many times can I feed them eggs please? I only give them eggs like twice in a month and chicken once a week. They eat dry cat food normally
I fry the egg until it is nearly cooked then I scoop hot fat over the top until the top of the egg turns white and is cooked but stop before the egg yolk goes solid. Its the normal way to fry an egg. Use a spoon to teaspoon to scoop out the liquid yolk onto a cold saucer or plate and wait until it has cooled before serving it. Use your wrist to test the temperature . I fed my cat egg yolk twice or three times a week or more because he was very ill and underweight. An egg yolk will not do your cat any harm ...unlike feeding your cat dry food all the time. Dry food is not a natural diet for any cat and they are likely to get unwell without regular meat and wet food as well.
Erica Cruz Hi... I mixed any pills that I had to give my cats with anything that disguised the shape colour, taste and smell of the pill . I often use a small chunk of cheese and place the pill inside and squeeze the cheese round the pill until none of it is showing. This only works on small pills . otherwise crush the pill and mix it into a cooked egg yolk or Tinned Tuna or Salmon or anything that has a strong smell and taste . These are excellent foods to encourage your cat to eat if they are off their food and they all have much better nutritional quality than proprietary cat foods in tins and sachets. Hope that is helpful
My cat ended up this nasty bump on her neck and she lost a lot of weight this was a month ago or so now she had lost weight again and she then would be sleeping and she would stop breathing and its hard too wake her up her back tail bone you can see while she's walking also while she sleeping her breathing really light
Carla its very important that you take your cat to a Vet immediately if he is losing a noticeable amount of weight . I don't know the full details but with cats you cannot wait to see what happens like you can with dogs. I don't wish to worry you but 2 years ago we had a fat overweight cat that had a huge appetite. She suddenly stopped eating and lost half her body weight and died 3x weeks later !...... it was so quick that the Vets didn't have a chance to find out exacly what was wrong with her . Don't delay take him to the Vets . I know its expensive but you will forget the cost in a few weeks months time if he recovers. if he dies and you didn't take him to Vet .....the feeling of guilt will stay with you for years. Please let us know how you get on
My cat is 5 months old.. she was fluffy and healthy .. but from few days I have noticed that she is loosing weight , when I play with her I feel bones.. she eats well... I take care of her . I am confused what should I do . Pls help
Carla did you read the long reply I made to your previous question ?? Have you taken your cat to a Vet yet ? When did it last eat something? How much weight has he lost ? If its just a couple of days it could just be a stuck furball . if you want my advice about getting an anorexic cat to start eating again then give your cat the egg yolk not the egg white. There is absolutely no nutritional content in the egg white so figure it out for yourself or use Google to search for egg nutrition and read it Please try and reply to my reply in the same thread so that our messaging is in the same place and makes a coherent thread otherwise everyone has to look all down the message threads to piece it all together.
Carla Durland The white is very good and very high in protein. Don't give eggs raw though, make sure it's well cooked. I can't remember what it's called, but there's something in raw egg that can deprive the body of iron.
@@stellaanon9841 this is rubbish! please check your facts before posting on my video. egg whites contain nil nutrition and none essential vitamins and minerals it is worthless as a food for anyone especially sick cats. Compare the content of egg whites to yolk here and see for yourself www.ahealthiermichigan.org/2011/10/11/the-nurtional-value-of-egg-whites-versus-egg-yolks-what-do-you-use/
Can you get the medicine without going to the vet and what is it called also I would like to know if it's o.k. to feed your cat green tripe I heard that it helps fatten them up but I only found the green tripe in the dog section they don't have any in the cat section and I was wondering if it's o.k. to feed it to him if anyone out there knows anything about this I would really appreciate some feedback on it Thanks so much .
anna shay you probably shouldn’t attempt to give your cat medication without taking kitty to the vet. As general information on cat health - and how to properly feed your cat, please visit catinfo.org. It is eye opening.
I'm assuming that your comment isn't trolling so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt despite your rude answer. Try separating the yolk from the white while it is still hot and cool it on a china plate until it is warm then dab a little on your cats paw or side of his mouth so he has to lick it off. You might find he starts to eat it.

I need this...I found a kitten and she doesn't gain weight..btw your cat looks in good condition thanks to your great care for this cat.

If I can ever be of any help you can contact me on my new youtube channel 'John Cooper ' here th-cam.com/video/tLTZZLsS528/w-d-xo.html
best wishes Johnny

The pill that I was giving my cat was Tumil-K which was prescribed for my Cat by the Vet.
Its essential you consult your Vet before giving Tumil-K as it might be dangerous even FATAL for cats with certain kidney conditions.
Here is some information I got off the net.
CAUTIONS:
Do not administer to cats with acute, oliguric, anuric, or very advanced renal failure.
Do not administer when high potassium levels may be encountered, such
as adrenal insufficiency, acute dehydration, or urethral obstruction.
WARNINGS: For animal use only. Keep out of the
reach of children and animals. In case of accidental overdose, contact
a health professional immediately.
My cat has lost her apetite. She loss a lot of weight and became very skinny.she haven't been eaten for 2 days.only drink water
M4sterM1ndLOL sorry to hear that, i am going through the same thing, cant afford a vet so hoping to find a home remedy.... damn we love our babies. :(
My cat lost half his weight especially in his back and hip areas. Don't know if the food was the cause or not ?!?!
that is sad I hope she gets better
Hi Freddie I did reply to you several days ago but the message doesn't seem to have posted for some reason.
sorry to hear that your cat is unwell.
You need to get your cat eating asap. Cats digestive systems are not like dogs and they can die in as little as 3 weeks if they stop eating.
Cats livers cannot process body fat back into glucose for energy like humans dogs and other mammals so they use protein instead which is why all his muscle has wasted. he has been living off his muscle for some time.
Try tinned Tuna and salmon or mackrel etc all in brine not oil. Cooked chicken taken off the Sunday roast whilst still warm and chpped really fine is a favourite because the smell is strong
KD and hyperthyroidism frequently go together although the KD is often
not obvious until the thyroidism is treated.
I found the best way to cook the egg yolk was to fry the egg and scrape
the yolk out and let it cool before serving. You might find your cat
finds it more tasty if you sprinkle a tiny pinch of ground sea salt into
the yolk, avoid table salt its not healthy. Ground Tumil-K is much
better and a excellent electrolyte to replace the potassium and sodium
your cat loses through frequent drinking and urinating but ask your vet
first.
If your cat isn't keen to drink tap water try collecting some rain water
for him.
Peanut lived for many years with hyperthyroidism and KD so I expect your
little buddy has many years to share with you yet.
It may just be furballs but you need to be sure that it is not causing an intestinal blockage
Cats are pretty unique in the that they cannot live off their body fat as dogs and humans and other animals can.
Take it to the vet
How much did it take for your cat to gain back some weight ?I saw this video and hoped for the best ,wish I did check on Peanut's progress on other videos. All cat friends (yes friends not owners) know how hard it is to loose such a devoted friend.I'm in a very similar situation and nothing seems to work.I'm just glad somehow to see there are other people who did their best for other cats.Words are pretty much useless to describe such bonds.
Somnivers apologies for the delay in replying .Thank you for your kind words
I was very sorry to hear that your cat has a similar condition .I do hope that your buddy is still part of your life .
There is an amazing amount of information and advice out there from scientists and vets
One of the best sites that I know is Tanya's cats , I refer to that often. www.felinecrf.org/
all the best
blimeyolriley
Hi.Actually I had to put him to sleep 5 days after I wrote that comment.I discovered a lump on his lower abdomen and asked for another investigation.

Are you giving your cat egg yolk raw? or do you half boil it or cook it on a pan without oil for a bit to make it less raw? and how much egg yolk per day does your cat eat?
no never give a pet raw egg or you'll likely give them food poisoning just like we can get from raw eggs
I fry my eggs slowly and when they are nearly cooked I scoop hot fat over the yolk which seals the yolk . if you are careful you can cook the egg yolk but still keep it runny.
then i scoop the egg yolk out of the white with a spoon onto a cold plate and wait for it to cool down before giving it to my cat.
Let us know what the result is please

what vitamin did you give your cat in the egg yoke?
He said it was sodium and potassium tablet

There is absolutely no essential vitamins or minerals in carbohydrate (dried food) it is nutritionally worthless
Give your cat real food, natural food like they would eat in the wild.
Cats with renal failure need a diet which is low in protein, which many of the foods mentioned in this thread are high in. Try a different renal food.
unfortunately I lost my cat to hyperthyroidism 2 years ago at that time I did get her to eat until her final moments she was 14. i used a syringe to feed her , until she was able to eat on her own, but she died full of love from all her love ones..
what was the pill you were giving, I could not understand, something K? hope to hear from you soon. thank you. cc
He said tumil-K
I wanted to know what did you use to mix the pills with, was it baby food?because my cat is hyperthyroid as well and very skinny.
Mine has lost a ton. He is now just a bag of bones but he still has a huge appetite!
Vince Scaglione is your cat 🐱 getting his weight back?
My cat ended up this nasty bump on her neck and she lost a lot of weight this was a month ago or so now she had lost weight again and she then would be sleeping and she would stop breathing and its hard too wake her up her back tail bone you can see while she's walking also while she sleeping her breathing really light
Her body warm and she's still eating and drinking also still hyper but shell get restless
my cat has an appetite but is still losing weight 🙁
Pls help
Muniba Bukhari Take her to the vet and get a full blood count and urinalysis done.
Thanks .
Muniba Bukhari have you got her checked for internal parasites?
I'm assuming egg whites are healthy too.... or certainly not harmful????
Carla did you read the long reply I made to your previous question ??
Have you taken your cat to a Vet yet ? When did it last eat something? How much weight has he lost ? If its just a couple of days it could just be a stuck furball .
if you want my advice about getting an anorexic cat to start eating again then give your cat the egg yolk not the egg white. There is absolutely no nutritional content in the egg white so figure it out for yourself or use Google to search for egg nutrition and read it
Please try and reply to my reply in the same thread so that our messaging is in the same place and makes a coherent thread otherwise everyone has to look all down the message threads to piece it all together.

Try separating the yolk from the white while it is still hot and cool it on a china plate until it is warm then dab a little on your cats paw or side of his mouth so he has to lick it off. You might find he starts to eat it.
