Great idea. A piece of cake has been cut off the cake the major airlines of this world have been enjoying. When my neighbor acquires I own it by extension. I can borrow from them at least and I stand a better chance because they know me. Bravo Uganda! Let brothers not fight over crumbs when their enemy is planning a feast at their expense.
Nice. But the sad reality is that like many nice things in Uganda the nationals who access them or benefit are like 0.1%. The faces you will see on these flights will be for mainly foreigners as Ugandans have been deliberately kept poor that the majority will never step on a plane except for those going to the middle east for domestic casual jobs and corrupt government blocks going on fabricated duty abroad.
Wrong time to buy aircraft ...plus its a stupid thing to buy cash. That money would have helped Ugandans in other meaningful ways especially on projects that mitigate ravages of covid 19.
i concur....like what happens if an aircraft get an accident? all the money go down the drain..lot of money for a poor country like uganda ...better buy on instalments, let the aircraft buy itself and free that cash for other needed services for poor people- but again is aircraft really meant to help ordinary mwananchi, i doubt ...
You come off like a smart person but your super stupid, those planes were ordered in 2014, airplanes are not like cars, when you order for a new aircraft, it takes years for it to be delivered, so this thing was already paid for way back in time just like the other aircraft they are going to receive in January
Well done !!! Uganda for following President Magufuli's example. Viva Mama Africa.👌🤘👏🤛👏👏👏
Safi sana! Idi Amin would have been proud!
My love for Airbus, daaamn. I like A380 more, you feel the real sense of flying.

I am from Pakistan I want to visit Uganda but I'm not sure is it safe to go there?
It is very safe my brother. There's a huge Pakistani community in Uganda doing all kinds of business. Try and visit, you might stay.
And this will make musaba have a presidential seat again 😹😹😹Africa my continent 😅

The aircraft were paid for WAY before the pandemic started.
