On a Spark battery if I get the error, just connect external power brick 12v 1.5A to the LHS(next to SCL) pos and neg pins and let it charge for a bit and the error will go when wired up and connect to software... No need to perform "open heart surgery" with battery.
Hi @bobf3598. That does work when there is enough voltage in the cells correct. Unfortunately it is not always the case, and the battery will have to get opened to " wake up " the cell if too low. Those pos and neg pins go through the BMS first, so if the BMS has switched off the CHRG/DSCHRG parameters, then it will never push voltage through to the cells.

Hi. Unfortunately you cannot get capacity back with using the CP board. The cells are ultimately a consumable item and suffers from wear and tear. Im unsure what you mean regarding the usb cable, not all usb cables have the same color coding. Thanks

Hey guys, I got the dji battery killer software from you. It’s about 8 files, but I can’t get it to open and install. I think it may be missing a file. Can you provide some better clarity on how to proceed? Seán
Thanks for the video. I have 2 spark batteries that the software sees, but both error when clearing PF2. All other steps work fine, just "Clear PF2" errors and then no change when charging. The software gives me an "ERROR: PF2 is not active" message.
Hi. So what steps do you follow?: Read Info - unseal - Clear PF 1 - Seal. After clearing PF1 a light on the Spark battery should slowly flash. Then switch off the battery in which the led light on the Spark battery will flash rapidly, indicating successful reset of the BMS. Then put the battery back on or put on charger. If you clear PF and you dont see the light flashing quickly, clear it again. Also Note, the voltage of each cell needs to be 3.5v at least for the PF to clear successfully. So total voltage minimum 10.5v minimum
Hi. What model of battery? What error do you get when trying to read the info? Also, the cells for the battery need to be at least 3.5v per cell, thereafter the software will read it no issue and you should be able to clear the pf
When connecting the Mavic 2 battery and the CP2112 communication port, a message like this (ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0×00) appears and the connection is not possible.
Hey. Apologies for the late reply. Have you managed to sort it? If not, you might need to give the battery a small charge with the original charger just to " enable " it. This only needs to be plugged in for 5 seconds or so. Thereafter unplug and plug back into the CP2112 board and check. Failing that, the cells might be too low for the bms board to function. The cells should ideally be 3.5v each. This can only be determined by opening the battery itself and manually checking each cell. If you are still stuck, give us a shout. Thanks
Hi. The ev2400 can only be used with TRB software, which no longer exists. The CP2112 board is a fraction of the cost, and the software needed as in above video works for almost all models anyway
I disassembled my Mavic Air batteries and charged the 3 cells in each one "by hand" with a 5V supply until they were over 3.6V - that was enough for one battery to remove the PF1 and PF2 flags according to the procedure via the app. But for the other two batteries at that voltage - even up to 3.8V - the app returned the message "ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0x00". Those two batteries needed the extra "jolt" of being momentarily connected to the original charger (until the charger light turns red) before I could overcome the error and continue through the "Unseal->PF1 clear->PF2 clear" sequence.
Perfect. And correct, if the voltages are good, and you get the read error, either plug into original charger for a few seconds, or short the positive most pin of the last cell in the series with the positive pin on the charging port of the battery for 2 seconds. Either way works. This "wakes" up the BMS and the CP will then read/write etc as normal. Glad you got it sorted
Is there a chance you can make a debugging board for the TB60 batteries I have 3 dead pairs, not swollen and they didn't even get to 100 cycles (they are supposed to give 200 cycles)
Getting SMBUS read error, have tried to power +/- pins from external power supply with 9 and 10V, to no avail. What else to try? Cells seem to be drop dead, stored for 2 years, pbly too low to even let the supply voltage get through to support the cells 😞
Hi. Unfortunately if is does not hold any voltage at all, then those need to be discarded yes. Depends on the battery and cell count, 15~17 volts is needed to get the 4 cells up if its a Mavic 2 battery. This would allow them to get to the "required" 3.5v per cell which equates to 14v. Then the CP2112 will easily get rid of the PF flag and re-enable charging etc. Thanks
I made the connection without opening the battery and connected it together with its charger and was able to restore one, but my other battery recognizes it and reset its parameters with the software but it still does not turn on its LEDs or charge, what could it be? is for mavic 2 pro and the battery model is FB2
Hello friends. I bought a mini 2 and after the first flight I went to recharge the battery and the following message appeared: "Battery error. Contact DJI support. Hi. Apologies for the late reply. No, the mini 2 uses a 2 cell battery, so it showing 2 cells @ 0v is normal. The problem you are having is you need to balance those cells. 4.3v and 4.0v is a big difference and the BMS will activate the PF flag every time. Once those 2 cells are equal in voltage, then that battery should be ok. You will need a balance charger to do that
@@AshrafRogers Hello friend. How to balance a DJI battery? The closest I found was the imax B6 V2 but I don't see how to make the correct connection to charge and balance the battery. Will I need to open the battery to balance the cells? Thanks for your response.

Hi. Battery cells will need to be balanced. The reason the pf flag triggers, is exactly due to voltage differences. Minimum cell voltages for cells are 3.5 for the pf to be cleared and for it to be able to be charged normally

Hi. So for a Mavic 2 battery, I believe max charge is 17v +-. I usually use about 16volts, but minimum amps. I go about 0.50 amps. Slowly get it up to about 14.2 volts (each cell minimum 3.5v ). Thereafter the CP will detect it and is also safe to clear the pf flag as the voltages are above the needed requirement before flagging. Just be careful making sure you have the poles correctly for charging the cells collectively.
