If I understood correctly, after the software reset the battery should be put on charge before using it for a flight correct? The BMS will take the ownership of managing the voltage level of the three cells, correct?
I couldn't be bothered with lifting the foam anymore you can solder against the sda and scl resistors.ive had to do this because some boards the trace lifts off losing the pad.
I have 4 almost brad new batteries out of storage that are not charging. DJI recommendation is to buy new batteries. That's a tall order and wanted to use your tools to give this a shot. I'm in the US. Can you let me know how you can help? Thanks.
Thank you for this awesome video! Do you have a video tutorial on how to change cells on mavic pro from start to finish? My battery was bloated already. Do we need to have software in order to do this process? If you have, you really saves us not spending expensive batteries. Look forward to your reply.
Yes 98% of the time you would need to open the battery , that method won't work if one or more cells are below 2.5 volts, then you HAVE TO open the battery , also you cannot balance the cells with a sealed battery.
I think he means once you have done all the fixing and finished the programming etc ….before you put the battery back together to fly …should you or are you able to some way connect the dji battery charger to the battery and check if what you fixed works now ….or do you have to first unsolder the three wires you soldered and put everything back together because the soldered wires may have some effect on how the dji charger works …like hes checking to see if it will damage anything or affect anything if he checks if the dji charger works before desoldering . …this is what i understood anyway .hope it helps 👍🏼
HI. can you help me? bought CP2112 SMBUS. Connected good DJI mavic 2 pro battery. SDA; SCL; GND; as per the diagram. Start program, click connect... ok. 1) Device successfully opened 2) Device successfully configured ok.. if I click READ INFO... ERROR: Could not perform SMBus read 0x00 Where is the problem? Thanks if you answer me
Hi. The Battery voltage total should be approximately 14v. So each cell should be about 3.5v each. Thereafter plug into the charger for about 5 seconds. This should " awaken " the BMS to allow Battery Killer to successfully read
@@AshrafRogers HI. Nothing... I also tried powering the circuit from both the battery and the connector. the chip still doesn't respond..... always the same error... However the battery does not turn on... the button is inactive. I don't know what to think anymore. Maybe something was damaged. I have 2 like this. Thank you

Hi , I successfully unlocked two of my batteries, and start charging again ,.the problem is that the drone is not take.off. I get an error message: BATTERY NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY, UNABLE TO TAKE.OFF"
hey bro big fan of your work can you revive phantom 4 batteries using this method ?? as there are no videoss about it. PLS try to do a video soon Thanks Love from india
I recently downloaded the Battery Killer software, DJI Battery Killer-20240524T204629Z-001. When I try to connect, I get ERROR: Could not open device. I don't want to break the batteries open and I sure as hell don't want to buy anymore. Can this software be used for Spark battery's?
Hi. It can be used for Spark batteries yes, but unfortunately if the voltage is too low, you will get the error : could not open / could not read etc. You would need to open the battery and put it on a balance charge at low current until each cell is approximately 3.5v. Thereafter Battery Killer will detect it and you can clear the PF, check cell health and charge it up normally again
@@AshrafRogers ...Mines a Mavic 2 Enterprise battery and doing the same thing, I bout the drone used, but it came with 3 batteries, 2 of them still brand new in the box, the one that's not working is one of the new ones. Do you have to take it apart to put it on the charger I'm guessing? I couldn't take two pins from my charger and put it to the battery as is could I?
@@sunshynff Hi. Unfortunately you would need to open it up yes. The battery connector on the outside connects to the BMS first, then each cell. So the BMS will not allow any voltage to pass to the cells if it has over-discharged. You must open it up to get each cell above 3.5v each and balanced, then connect above CP2112, clear the errors, check cell health, close, charge....... And then happy flying :D
@@AshrafRogers ...That's what I figured, thank you! Oh, BTW, dose the drone have any comms with the battery BMS??. I only ask because, on my Mavic pro 1, I ended up doing the lipo battery mod and it worked out well, the DJI GO app even showed all the telemetry of the battery and each cell. I recently upgraded to a Mavic Pro 2 Enterprise Advanced/thermal, but I haven't looked into any mods yet, nor do I really want to at this time, was just curious if that was an option? Thanks again!
