    I had sinus issues while growing up in PA, mainly hay fever. This continued even after moving to the SW until one day I went swimming and tried to dive to the bottom of the pool. As I got deeper I felt pressure and pain in my sinuses and returned to the surface. Not wanting to give up I tried again, each time able to go a little deeper. The repeated pressure changes broke up the congestion in my sinuses. When I blew my nose it was the thickest, stickiest green mucus I'd ever seen. After clearing my sinuses of this I no longer had sinus issues, that was over 40 years ago, not one problem since. I don't know if this would work for everyone but it's worth a shot.

    I’ve had sinus pain/pressure accompanied with nasal congestion for 16 years now. My life has been derailed and the discomfort has become progressively worse in recent years. There is no mucous, it is strictly an issue of swollen turbinates. Been to several doctors here in Central NY as well as had surgery - have found no resolve and the pain persists. Ive ironically developed gut issues about the same time the sinus issues started. There must be a connection here. I’m hopeful for this, as it is so outside of the box of all the ENT’s treatments I’ve received. Thank you, Doc! Fingers crossed.

      @Bemusedbeyondbelief 3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @N K Hi there. All I can say is, it did for me. This was not the reason I started Keto, but the improvement when I did was very obvious. I am putting this down to the effect it has on inflammation in the body. I also have little to no joint pain (the extra collagen in my diet probably also helps with that) and it also cured my acid indigestion within 48 hours both of which I had suffered for several years. If you are a woman of a certain age (can’t tell if you are or not so sorry if this is too much info) the beneficial effect on menopausal symptoms is also noticeable. Was considering HRT until Keto, but not any more. All I can say is give it a try. If you decide it is not for you, or has no effect then there is nothing lost. I would also say, if you do, don’t get sucked in to all the specialist Keto foods and supplements, they are very expensive and in the main completely unnecessary. Happy to answer any questions you have, but can only base it on my experience. Whatever you do I hope you find a solution.

    That Lanto product he shows - I bought that years ago. It does work. Comes w a measuring spoon. Mix it w some distilled water and soak it up w a qtip. Use it in nostrils. It really does clear up your sinuses so you can breathe. They also suggest a swish in your mouth too, but I never did that. Its great to use for a common head cold or something where you want to stop a runny nose and clear it up instead. The powder lasts a long time, so - if its too expensive, share the price w someone else and split the bottle. 👍 It does expire.. think its about a 1-2 year shelf life in the fridge, but Im not exactly sure.

    Kimchi is great for cleansing the gut. But some people may have histamine intolerance that can trigger sinusitis. And fermented foods and cabbage are foods high in histamine . So best to keep a food log and see what works best. It’s also a known fact that people who have developed chronic sinusitis , started only after getting root canals . I know that what happened to me, and other friends who started to compare notes. It’s a good idea to look at oral healthcare when you have a sinus flare up , when weather (such as low barometric pressure) or food triggers, aren’t the culprit. Nerves in the mouth are closely connected to sinuses .

      Targeting the sinus area with neti washes and topical stuff helps, but the key is never use oils, so I stopped using the oregano oil and moved to the tincture that is not diluted in olive oil. Also found a few more diet solutions inspired by Dr. Berg and some other sources. The main thing is stop eating any grains with yeast like bread and eat more meat. So I fry or bake buckwheat, corn meal, quinoa etc for complex carbs. Also eating more lean meats, the best is bison. I pair those meats with sauerkraut and use both iodized and sea salt when I cook.
