I had sinus issues while growing up in PA, mainly hay fever. This continued even after moving to the SW until one day I went swimming and tried to dive to the bottom of the pool. I’ve had sinus pain/pressure accompanied with nasal congestion for 16 years now. My life has been derailed and the discomfort has become progressively worse in recent years. There is no mucous, it is strictly an issue of swollen turbinates. Been to several doctors here in Central NY as well as had surgery - have found no resolve and the pain persists. Ive ironically developed gut issues about the same time the sinus issues started. There must be a connection here. I’m hopeful for this, as it is so outside of the box of all the ENT’s treatments I’ve received. Thank you, Doc! Fingers crossed.
I am a kimchi eating Korean, and years ago, I used to have sinus infections 4x a year and was constantly prescribed antibiotics from regular doctors. I was cured by a good acupuncturist, not drinking coffee and drinking carrot juice to remove extra mucus.
well this proves kimchi did not help you. I drink 64oz of fresh pressed carrot juice daily and it doesn’t help my giant nasal polyps, mucus or runny nose at all
Suffered from sinus issues for many years, usually spring and autumn, but developed to all year round. At the worst ‘slept’ at night for six months propped up on a pillow. Medication and nasal wash was only a very short term solution. Started Keto mid March and after a week no more issues! The bliss of a good nights sleep is very underrated.
@N K Hi there. All I can say is, it did for me. This was not the reason I started Keto, but the improvement when I did was very obvious. I am putting this down to the effect it has on inflammation in the body. I also have little to no joint pain (the extra collagen in my diet probably also helps with that) and it also cured my acid indigestion within 48 hours both of which I had suffered for several years. If you are a woman of a certain age (can’t tell if you are or not so sorry if this is too much info) the beneficial effect on menopausal symptoms is also noticeable. Was considering HRT until Keto, but not any more. All I can say is give it a try. If you decide it is not for you, or has no effect then there is nothing lost. I would also say, if you do, don’t get sucked in to all the specialist Keto foods and supplements, they are very expensive and in the main completely unnecessary. Happy to answer any questions you have, but can only base it on my experience. Whatever you do I hope you find a solution.

That Lanto product he shows - I bought that years ago. It does work. Comes w a measuring spoon. Mix it w some distilled water and soak it up w a qtip. Use it in nostrils. It really does clear up your sinuses so you can breathe. They also suggest a swish in your mouth too, but I never did that. Its great to use for a common head cold or something where you want to stop a runny nose and clear it up instead. The powder lasts a long time, so - if its too expensive, share the price w someone else and split the bottle. 👍 It does expire.. think its about a 1-2 year shelf life in the fridge, but Im not exactly sure.

Kimchi is great for cleansing the gut. But some people may have histamine intolerance that can trigger sinusitis. And fermented foods and cabbage are foods high in histamine . So best to keep a food log and see what works best. It’s also a known fact that people who have developed chronic sinusitis , started only after getting root canals . I know that what happened to me, and other friends who started to compare notes. It’s a good idea to look at oral healthcare when you have a sinus flare up , when weather (such as low barometric pressure) or food triggers, aren’t the culprit. Nerves in the mouth are closely connected to sinuses .

Yes Mrs Julie- you are correct. His description is exactly the symptoms of being addicted to nasal spray. I lived it for years! David Landrum, you are going to have to get rid of the spray and though it will be tough for a couple of weeks, it will get better! Good luck!

Is it possible to have a healing reaction? I started the San J yesterday and feel pretty crummy today + headache. I once got MRSA and discovered it naturally lives in the nose and armpits and was given antibiotics to use in those places. Perhaps I wiped everything out in my nose bc I’ve had increasing difficulty breathing nasally and it’s chronic. I eat super clean, no dairy, mostly vegan except for low Mercury tuna a few times per week. Lots of fresh veggies & fruits, no gluten, no excessive amount of processed foods.
I had a severe sinus infection that spread to my upper eye tooth and gums. I developed an ulcer and lost all feeling in my tooth. Lightly rubbing the area between my upper nose and eye lit my face up to nearly excruciating burning pain. I started taking Sinupret and within a few days all the pain and fullness was nearly gone. It’s been 3 months and no longer do I have any infection. My breathing hasn’t been this clear ever!

So I fry or bake buckwheat, corn meal, quinoa etc for complex carbs. Also eating more lean meats, the best is bison. I pair those meats with sauerkraut and use both iodized and sea salt when I cook.
@N8_R ok nice sir.. 👍👍👍
Thank you for the link to the study and the suggested product brands. Very helpful and interesting video!
Hi Dr. Berg. I had Sinus and I started to take every morning one drop of organic oregano oil under my tongue. My syndromes just flew away! Is it safe to do it? Thank you!
I think it needs to be diluted as it may burn you
how long did u do that?
which country are you? what brand is your oregano oil?
@z skt
@@akhehehe4302 try doterra but please be warned it is super super hot to taste and please don't get it on your skin or eyes. Doterra also makes capsules that u can put the oregano in then swallow, which is what I do. It has helped me to fight off the flu and Covid19 symptoms too.
I have a big 3 kimchi containers in my kimchi refrigerator. I eat daily with all sorts of meats. Love love it.
Please do one for the lungs/asthma.
Yes! It’s probably quite connected. Sinus, lungs, liver, kidney, candida, molds and connection to food sources.
Yes, please!

@@shraddashradda ,I just knew this 3yrs or so I'm following DR BERG .IT IS NOT THAT STRANGE .NOW HERE ARE 2 CASES .My big elder brother is battling sinus since I can't remember and he is diabetic, but I cannot make him believe me about keto .he is a service man army so his Doc,his Doc.Still sinus is on after everything else ,even diabete is in contained but the sinus.Ok now I came for my friend who may have IBS along sinus .Every allergy, diarrhea and sinus .I did tell her it is your gut ,even I'm the one who told her about IBS .now I'm researching about her sinus .I knew everything is related to the gut bacterium.
I had, what I call, my healing pot of greens yesterday. But I've been craving my chili. I guess your body will tell you what it needs. I'll be making it today! 🙌🏿🙌🏿
What about sauerkraut?
I love fermented vegs including soybeans and bamboo shoot.
Currently inprocess.. #1.mixed vegs.. beet, carrot, radish, ginger n garlick.
#2. Honey n garlick.
I have Sjogrens and it causes sinus issues. But yes it does help to eat better and get enough vitamins. Thank you!
I have notice that eating certain cereals (with process sugar) and drinking milk especially at night would make my mucus thick in the morning, so I switch over to almond milk. Also, I notice chicken broth soups like Anderson soups have helped with gut (acid reflux) and sinuses too. Drinking plenty of water and eating yogurt as well.
Dr.Berg is a life saving legend 🙌🏽 ive had sinus issues for over 10 year and no dr ever told me this 😤
Any updates ?
This was fantastic for me! Gamechanger! Thanks for this information 🎉🎉🎉 Havent could breath so clearly ever!
I have sinus and nose issue all year long anymore. I didn't used to when I was younger, just minor seasonal allergies. I'm definitely going to try these out.
Good Morning , Dr. Berg
Thank you so very much for sharing this very interesting information with everybody , God richly bless you all !

I've had this. When the stuffiness got particularly bad I effected my breath...stinky.
Gradually cutting back on milk has helped. I hope this advice does as well.
It is great to be reminded and encouraged as you do so often Dr B - thanks again
I will try it. I've been using colloidal silver but it doesn't go away completely, so maybe I need to build the healthy floral in my gut too. Thanks
Can I use this lanto sinus powder for allergic rhinitis
Finally a bit of hope. Major Chronic sinusitis suffer, pretty much allergic to everything. It affects my eyes, nose, adenoids and I get bronchitis from it, on everything, even tried shots, no one has given me hope. I will try this.
Any update?

Found out I can't have it. One of the ingredients in it I'm allergic to.
@@jodilynnmodel ok
Love Korean programmes in India. So good to know that Kimchi is awesome for sinus issues.
so if it starts in the gut, which I believe is my problem (divitculitius), what can I do for gut bacteria etc
eat the kimchi, raw real sauerkraut or buy a good probiotic, etc.
research and ingest probiotics
I stay away from dairy milk, cheese my mucous in my nose was green couldn’t breathe so I take the probiotics 3 times a day and it’s clearing up
I've had a sinus problem for years. I hope this works for me.
Updates???
Dr. Berg!!! You are worthy assets for me.I am always hearing your lectures. Remain blessed and May you live long. Well done❤❤❤
I appreciate your kind words.
I just saw this video. Thank you. I’ve been hearing a lot about kimchi recently and now I know about the benefits( l. Sakeii).👍
I will try this next time because so far only antibiotics have saved me from drowning to death in my mucus from sinus infections and the hospitals are completely willing to just let me die this way! This is about the only alternative I haven't tried yet! ............(half an hour later remembered i did try it and it didn't work for me) but thanks anyway
Hello and thank you for the video. Is it better to make the kimchi or is it OK to buy it as well?
In that case, are netti pot used for sinus rinse, beneficial or bad for you? Do they wash out the good bacteria ?
The doctor who invented Xlear nasal spray and Xlear nasal wash packets to be used with a neti pot or rinse bottle says that it protects good bacteria from bad - the Xlear nasal wash is to be used 1 x a week. He said normal saline packets with neti pot washes out the good bacteria. So I stopped using those rinses for the most part.
I've had this problem for weeks now. It is going gradually. However, I am starting this today - I will keep you posted.
Any update?
I'm so excited! This is me. I will buy kimchi this weekend. Thank you Dr. Berg.
@Windy Deals yes
@Windy Deals I am better. Sadly, I tried so many different foods, I don't know which worked or if it was a combination of all. Worth a try. I continue to have a couple bites of kimchi or sauerkraut at every dinner.
@Windy Deals Don't give up. I honestly believe the biggest relief for me was during 30 days strict keto. I stopped keto and my sinuses flared up again.
Wow just the video needed. Thank you Dr. Berg. Cheers from Mumbai
Hello there Dr Berg. Excellent presentation, very informative. Thank u for sharing.
Thanks for your kind words!
One food that seems to help me with mucus congestion is fenugreek. I don't know why that is though.
I found Jal neti, Netipot or nasal irrigation very effective for my sinus.
Hari Pillai same here, I use a sea water spray.
@@Candyprincess971 ?
its disaster .
@@Candyprincess971 does it wash out the good bacteria though as well though?
Have tried it and it works like magic. Thanks Dr Berg🤗
You're most welcome!
I'll try this one kimchi, hope it will work for me, still suffering sinusitis these time it really bothers me even going to bed at night.. thank you Dr. Eric! 🙂

Hi Dr Berg. Thank you so much for all your videos! Question here: how about applying the Lanto Sinus powder or a dilution of it with the Q-tip?
Those are literally the product instructions.
Thank you for giving us the brand names.
Most welcome!
What I really needed today.. thank u doc!
Omg. I have to try this. I have chronic sinusitis. Thank you Dr!!
@Kelly Watson
Sure, thanks for watching!
Update???
I honestly thought the kimchi juice in the nose was going to be one of the docs jokes.😂
LOL, so did I!!
For sure!
Poetique When I have a sinus issue I make a ‘tea’ from crushed garlic in boiling water, when it cools I remove the garlic and snort the garlic infused water, works like a charm!
@@nhmooytis7058 I cut a garlic clove in half and stick it into my ear like an apple earbud headphone if it starts to feel a little itchy or sore to prevent a full blown infection.
@@PhilLesh69 I used garlic for a hemorrhoid, it healed up and and I never had a recurrence. Yes it does sting 🤣
I carry nasal spray everywhere I go. No mucus, just my nose feels tight. I will definitely try kimchi. 👍🏽
Precisely what I have had for years. 99 % of time one nostril is dry and constantly blocked, thereby very difficult to breathe.
You are probably addicted to the nasal spray, I had this problem for several months and didn't realize it
There are videos on you tube about easy ways to kick the habit
The nasal spray has a rebound effect and makes your nasal passages inflamed and you can't breathe without it
It took me about a week to kick it and it was painless!
Yes Mrs Julie- you are correct. His description is exactly the symptoms of being addicted to nasal spray. I lived it for years! Finally, I just had to give it up and after a few stuffy weeks, I kicked the addiction! David Landrum, you are going to have to get rid of the spray and though it will be tough for a couple of weeks, it will get better! Good luck!
@@Lissco I hear ya it's a terrible addiction!
I wasn't able to go cold turkey but found TH-cam videos where they got Flonase and would spray there nose with Flonase first then use the nasal spray and gradually dilute the nasal spray with distilled water everyday I was prepared for it to take me a month to kick the habitat
It took me about six days and I have been free of it for about two and a half months now!
Wow, a 50/50 mix up your nose of that sounds like a real eye and nose opener.
lol
I'm not putting rotten veggies and chilli powder up my nose...pass!
Lol 😄😅😂
He said dilute it by 50 times. Not half and half.
Thanks Doc.
You just talked me into putting Kimchi up my nose.
This made my day!
I love kimchee or kimchi
Kohala brand from Hawaii is my fav and my mother made it when I was a kid. Can't get here in DFW Texas.
I love kimchi and made them myself. Thanks for great videos!!
Sharing to my sister. Thank you Dr. Berg!
Hope this video helps! Be well!
@@Drberg you are welcome.
Wonder if this can help with COVID smell damage.
Thanks doc will make some and change my food and things will be better no more bread milk cheese sugar drink and snakes and white rice
Do you recommend making your own kimchi?
Thank you for the recipe channel!!
Glad you enjoyed it Lori!
I just started sinupret! I hope it helps my congested sinuses.
@@bosbeats did it work
How did you come to the conclusion that the infection spread to your tooth? Did you get diagnosed by a dentist?
If it’s true, you would need to get the tooth extracted…

Hello doc is there any chance you talk about the cause of varicose and how to get rid of it?
He has a video of it but you'd have to search
That's a great idea! My wife and mother-in-law (that lives with us) are both from Korea and we eat Kimchi at every meal. I hadn't thought of swabbing my nostrils, but I will give it a try. Boy I'm glad I watch this channel!

Does anyone know if the Lanto Sinus product is used orally, nasally or both orally and nasally?
I really like that electronic white board. I wish I could have one in my room or office.
