  • The burning problem all creators, writers, and marketers face: finding a niche. The common business advice of the past is outdated thanks to the emergence of the creator economy. Forget everything you’ve been told about niching down.

My grandfather (who is no longer alive) left me a few quotes that I have stuck to. 1) "The world will never stop being the world." 2) "Life is beautiful. You just have to know how to live it." and 3) "Don't be lazy. Work hard." They are simple yet profound. He raised 10 kids, worked in a factory, immigrated his children legally from a small village in Mexico into the US during the 1960s. He owned a car, 3 properties, and had the love and adoration of his children and grandchildren. I still sing about him to this day. As the Holy Bible says "Your reputation is more precious than jewels and rubies." And "Wisdom is nourishing to the soul like a good meal."

I am content creator, and for me being a TH-camr is all about finding winning combination. It is like owning a business, you just have to give people what they want and you will be successful. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but consistency and hard work (with a little bit of Famester to help) is the key!

I started down this be my own niche path a year ago, but ultimately, I started getting pulled into the old-style niche thinking and limiting myself. Years and years of hyperfocused on search engine marketing (demand fulfillment) and music marketing have engrained the niche-down mindset. This outline is a great way to help me get back on track.

Shortcut for all new venturists and those seeking to make their own business work online: ignore all others telling us how to do marketing, content, niching and so on, just listen only to Dan. I've got so much value from his work over the last month since YT put him in front of me, but with this particular video I've just made that decision. I've bought his two hour writer course, and now downloaded a couple of things which I've yet to check out. For so long i went against my instincts because of all the mainstream 'advice', but going by Dan's word, i'm now reunited with my instincts and won't be pushing them aside again!

Perfect timing for this to show up since it's exactly what I'm working on building right now. I'm at least a little good /knowledgeable in a lot of areas and want to bring it all together. (that's not happening on this account)

Really insightful video on finding a niche! It's refreshing to hear a perspective that emphasizes personal authenticity over traditional market niches. Has anyone else tried this approach and what were your results?

Hi Dan. Thanks for all the videos. You think clearly and speak lucidly. How would you adapt your advice for somebody not selling education but fiction novels?

I’m wondering my path in this world of entrepreneurship, I am a video marketer that starts as a wedding photographer after that filmmaker of music videos after that a learnt after effects and now I’m looking for my next big project and still looking for the last seven years. I’m an immigrant from Bolivia living in Spain, for the last years this was hard to do, And this my friend this changed my way of living life. Thank you.
