I find, though seemingly underrated, an e-tool is a very handy item. I am a fan of the Glock e-tool which, while collapsible, is sturdy and has a hidden saw.

I like the shovel the E tool replaced personally. As a Seabee the old tool was a perfect pick and shovel. nice solid wooden handle you could really get a good grip on to put some power behind a blow. Which you couldn't with the light awkward handle of the E tool.
