Lex underestimated Clark's fighting ability he gained from 20 years of experience where he's been depowered and/or fought supervillains as strong or stronger than him. The red sun just downgraded Clark to a badass human which was still enough to take down Lex in a brawl.
Season 1 Plot Twist Lex Luthor Suit -> wait, no that's STEEL Season 2 Plot Twist Doomsday Suit -> wait, no that's BIZARRO Season 3 Plot Twist (was a lot but) Bizarro transformation -> wait, no that's DOOMSDAY NOW Season 4 Plot Twist Lex Luthor Suit -> wait, so that's not Steel now (I wish atleast) We will have entire series being full circle.
They are going to keep his secret as respect for all he done for that town and what his parents/mother did for that town, which i love. I feel like the show will end with them knowing he's Superman and one of them a smallville at heart
I like the call back to the first episode of the season, when Lex confronts the boys in the diner and starts to get aggressive. Chuck stands up as if to defend them but when Lex glares at him he backed down. This time the bar stood firm. I liked that. Plus, speaking of Chuck and Addie and Denice, they were the highlighted townspeople who definitely saw the Kent’s reaction to Superman’s body when Doomsday dumped him in the street. So I’m not sure if the whole town knows Clark’s identity now, but they definitely would’ve worked it out. I do think by the end the whole town will find out though. Lex told Amanda to make sure Milton had installed the lights by the end of the day, so that’s how they were done so quickly. Pissed off depowered Clark is more dangerous than a reduced level superman as he doesn’t need to hold back. Awesome fight 👊👊
Guess I'm the only one that immediately thought of Achilles in "Troy" when Clark was calling out Lex...I almost was waiting to hear "HECTOOOOOOOORRR!!" lol
Small towns - for good or ill, they are _very_ good at keeping secrets. And Luthor is _hardcore_ projecting his own family issues with that "Now they see who you really are!" - _his_ daughter (quite rightly) thinks he's a monster. Lois, Jordan & Jon know _exactly_ who that big boy scout is, and why that fight is happening. Luthor is likely incapable of understanding that.
For a criminal mastermind, Luthor's a lunkhead for thinking it was smart to tick off someone with a history of going head first into overwhelming odds, including Doomsday which he created.
Hardly. Lex wanted this to happen. Lex wanted Clark to loose control infront of his family and the people of Smallville (and lets be honest, people saw out their windows) If Clark had killed him, which was Lex plan, Clark would spend the rest of his life in jail for murder. Lex won on the former part of his plan, its when he went out laughing.
@ Idc. It was still satisfying seeing him get be up. Plus, it wasn’t in his plan to lose the fight. He even said to his assistant later in the episode that he didn’t expect him to be so strong. He lost and seeing that was satisfying.
She isn’t a dumb woman, Amanda knows that there is a big chance Luther is going down but he’d kill her if she doesn’t make him think she’s on his side but really she’s setting him up so that when he does fall, she swoops in and takes Luthorcorp.
I believve the town will make sure the Kents homelife is protected by the end of all of this...even if they attempt to put the genie back in the bottle. They all will respect it❤
I've said it before and i will keep saying it, that wasn't clark who went to confront Luthor, nor was is clark who told Candice's dad step outside or when he had a fit in the locker room and started to snap at Jon, that was Kal El 😂😂 And Kal El has been waiting for a scrap for a looooong time. Itching like he's Tyrone Biggums 😂😂😂
As Superman it would have taken a ton of restraint to not just fly luthor into space (before the red solar lamps) and start saying “I’m sorry, I’m having trouble hearing you”. As luthor suffocated and froze. It was probably somewhat therapeutic to be able to cut loose and hit Luthor as hard as he could.
@@ZarrarAAli "oh look those boys who were on the team accused of taking drugs are back on the team. I smell a scandal" thats how this would go. But its the CW, cant expect good writing anymore
Only reason villains like Luthor or the Joker get kept around is to not run out of villains for heros to fight and the old fashion notion that heros don't kill. Superman could take care of the Luthor problem easily if he wanted
Right? It would take Clark and the boys 5 minutes to take Luthor to the Fortress and stick him in the Phantom Zone. The constant struggle with this version of Lex is just unnecessary.
@ that’s okay bro, your opinion matters just as mine. And I love both shows but for different reasons. Both have great characters with amazing storytelling.
I like the promise of this Luthor. The age, the size, but the motivation and his methods have been a little lacklustre in my opinion. I think being on the same channel as Smallville - which had the best interpretation of the character across all platforms - may be deciding my opinion. I'm hoping by the end of the season my opinion changes!
I mean the biggest play he had was Doomsday, which he succeeded and he did destroy the Kent family, it's just the family had a backup plan. I will agree with you, that Amanda shouldn't be the one to come up with the next plan and I thought he had something other than the red lights
Lex laughing and saying that they finally see him for who he really is was a stupid statement. After everything Lex has done, they were happy to see Clark get angry and kick his ass. That lady Ebby? or Eddy? or Abby? whatever was one of the 3 that were there when Doomsday brought Superman's dead body, but the fact that Coach knows means it's spreading.
Well, the boys still need training, and heat vision is a tricky superpower, so Clark could get caught in the crossfire. Also, it was a fight between Clark and Lex.

As the man once said back in Season 3:
_”This isn’t a job for Superman.”_
*”He’s not going.”*
I remember that... great dialog !!!
Lex: *burns a picture of his daughter*
Also Lex: “How could Lois Lane do this?”
lmao
Exactly 😂😂 @@MaxleonoUEFN
😮 clark yelling in the street in anger put a chill all over my body...and that fight scene was outstanding
Lex underestimated Clark's fighting ability he gained from 20 years of experience where he's been depowered and/or fought supervillains as strong or stronger than him. The red sun just downgraded Clark to a badass human which was still enough to take down Lex in a brawl.
Still a corn fed country boy at the end of the day. Not sure why Lex thought he could throw hands with him
I guess Clark is "Still Stronger" than Lex is every universe.
I GET THAT REFERENCE 🫵🏻
Keep in mind, John Henry's suit is the Lexosuit from his world...that was the stinger of the very first episode!
i wonder if Lex will simply claim that Lexosuit or build a new one.
The Smallville intro was a nice touch. 🔥
Tyler Hoechlin deserves to be on the Mount Rushmore of Supermen.
"That will be 19.38" A reference to Superman's 1st appearance surely?

Doomsday vs Superman Fight < Lex vs Clark Fight 🗿
Salt and Pepper Superman is a great band name.

Aaron calling Sarah the only daughter took me out 😂😂
Seeing Clark beat Lex’s ahh was so satisfying.

Ohhhh, I was soooo waiting for this!
I liked the cute nod to the year of the first appearance of Superman in comics, 19.38 being the total for his purchase of the hair dye.
Yes!!! I’ve been waiting to see this notification!!!
You know you are screwed when Superman starts doing the Batman voice. Better run for your life.
Batman and Superman in this universe would've been so cool
Oh god wish I could see the full episodes of this season, guess I'll have to wait, tonight's clips were great, Thanks once more, much appreciated.
I loved it when Lex & Clark just fighting in the streetg ugh so good
When Luthor said to try ending him without powers, Clark was like “well good thing i don’t have to hold back now” 😂
She isn’t a dumb woman, Amanda knows that there is a big chance Luther is going down but he’d kill her if she doesn’t make him think she’s on his side but really she’s setting him up so that when he does fall, she swoops in and takes Luthorcorp.

If only "He wants it this bad, something's wrong" wasn't pertinent to the current political situation.
I'm gonna miss these reactions when this show ends. I love the whole crew but there's something really fun about just these two. ❤

Glad we didn't get a tiresome take of the boys being shocked/upset of Clark giving Lex a beat down
Aaron, sir...the boys are a different species. They can't compete in high school sports.😂
After the EX-K scandal, you would think Coach would be a little more hesitant on doing something that could get the team banned again.
Except them being naturally gifted ain't the same as taking performance enhancement drugs

The heart shouldn't make him more human he's still kryptonian
i don’t get why they even deal with luther? like clark just put him in a DOD cell or smth. who cares abt due process with this clown.
Only reason villains like Luthor or the Joker get kept around is to not run out of villains for heros to fight and the old fashion notion that heros don't kill. Superman could take care of the Luthor problem easily if he wanted
@ like clark could fly him straight into the DOD or the fortress for prison and nobody would bat an eye. but yk lois and the law and blah blah blah
Brainiac will kill him imo
Right? It would take Clark and the boys 5 minutes to take Luthor to the Fortress and stick him in the Phantom Zone. The constant struggle with this version of Lex is just unnecessary.

Bolt might have access to the speed force if he could break his world record.
Nobody supported Jordan when he was helping, the fans and characters on the show so him not helping made sense

😢 Lana being hurt and thrown about made me scream too
So tell me why one of the boys couldn’t have used their heat vision on the lights and busted the bulbs?
I literally said this to the TV while watching. Use your heat vision!!
Well, the boys still need training, and heat vision is a tricky superpower, so Clark could get caught in the crossfire.
Also, it was a fight between Clark and Lex.
Because the narrative demanded that Clark beat Lex. The boys intervening would’ve deescalated the dramatic tension and ruined the scene.

Clark took lessons from Batman
