I have one of these with a .8 mm tip and it works amazing with base coats for small projects. It gives a smoother finish than factory. It works really good with clear it you dial it back and move a little slower. I find it works good 18-30 psi.
Hi buddy, I've only used it in this size, so I can't comment on the smaller sizes. It's certainly excellent value for money if you get them from Aliexpress, cheers 👍
@@peteshobbies5383 Thanks for the reply. I know the purists don't like cheap gun reviews but some of us can't afford a $300 + for a paint gun. @@peteshobbies5383 is a better quality paint is more important than gun, i saw a lot videos many people cant distinguish the diffence between cheap and expensive gun
@quyuc9334 I disagree, It is easier to work with cheaper materials than a cheaper gun, certainly for a beginner. Hi Pete great video, ideal gun for a beginner that’s finding there way on the cheap maybe 🤔 it seems to have done a good job there though but I think it’s down to the sprayer in this case rather then the performance of the gun, I know I have said before using more branded or nice feeling tools makes the difference especially with something that can affect the finish. Thanks Pete I hope all is well mate.
Hi Steve, Thanks, mate , you are right. This makes a good gun for those who don't have or want to spend much money and get reasonable results. It doesn't give the same feedback or satisfaction as using a branded product and I'm sure that some who buy these will want to go for the real thing if they get the bug, cheers mate, alls well here, hope same is with you 👍

I have used the original SRi, but a while ago, from memory, it sprayed quite well, to get the same results with these copies I find you need more pressure which leads to more overspray and consumption, both materials and air
You could be right, I have two, and they spray the same while looking slightly different, but the production tolerances are generally not as good as the main manufacturers, so yes, it could be the case for sure
Good evening congratulations for your videos. I have a small 24 liter compressor, I wanted to ask you if in your opinion I can use it decently. Thank you very much
@diegocastelli7405 So that's around 5 cfm, I would estimate these Chinese Pro Lite S copy's are around 5 to 6cfm, so will be one the limit of you are supply, if you don't have lots to do it should be ok, they certainly use more air than the real Devilbiss version, which is between 4 and 5 cfm, hope that helps 👍
Pete, I have an LPH80 which I use for "good" paint, when painting small stuff but like you I don't want rustoleum etc getting into it. Up till now I've been using an old Sharpe MGF for spraying small stuff with junk paint, however the mgf is crapping out and I was looking at one of these for the task. Is there any alternative that isn't a rip off gun for low money for spraying small stuff with junk paint?
Hi Ken, not that I can think of, I've had a few unnamed guns in the past, and none have been particularly good, to be honest. I have a few W101 rip offs that I've had for ages, they are a side cup and very good, in fact they were so good to use It made me buy a few different versions of the real thing so maybe it's not always hurting the genuine manufacturers, cheers mate 👍
Hi buddy, I would guess it's around 5 cfm @ 2 bar/29psi, it's certainly uses more air than the genuine version, which is around 3.5 to 4 cfm at the same pressure, how big, and what output is your compressor?
When using more air pressure, it makes more over spray? I don't like spray guns that make a lot overspray. Atomization and not a lot overspray is my concern.
Hi James, Yes, that is normally the way. The higher the pressure, the more overspray you get. It's not just the pressure. It's also the efficiency of the cap, so a well-made precision engineered tool will give less overspray than a not so well made one at the same pressure
Hi Pete me gustaría que en algún vídeo hicieras la comparativa de el wider 4l y el wider 4 normal para ver el acabado de ambos y más que nada el consumo de ambos y la rapidez o lentitud de uno y otro muchas gracias saludos
Great work I’m actually looking for a mini HVLP , I had my eye on the Italco for £70.00 but looks exactly the same as this. Also have you ever thinned brake callipers paint that’s in a pot to use in a spray gun?
Hi Jason, most of the Italco guns are Chinese copies rebranded as Italco, so it is probably the same. Yes, I have sprayed HT paint for use on break callipers and thinned it if required. Have a look at the TDS for the products you have. It's a good place to start
Hi Jason, to be honest, I can't remember. It was 5 years ago , I've bought loads of stuff on there over the years and mostly had good experiences, I would just go with the cheapest you can find
Aside from it being a cheap option for hobbyists, it would be good for one to be aware that gun efficiency is of the most importance as most hobbyists aren't going to have good exhaust to deal with overspray. Overspray can ruin a paint job when you can't keep it from falling back onto a fresh layer. Not to mention the waste of rarher expensive paint. I think you've covered that aspect well with this example... cheap isn't always worth it.
Hi Boss, you are completely right, my setup is rather crude with a few fans drawing overspray away and a larger, filtered exit fan, but, as you say, many that buy something like this will have little or no thought or indeed facilities to deal with more overspray. Cheers mate 👍
