    Great video Pete. I've been using my 4000B quite a bit here lately. I still can't believe how good it is for the price. Feels good in my hand and it's easy to get a good finish. I prefer guns without seals on the nozzles but I think the seal on this gun should last awhile. I tighten the nozzle just enough to seal it. It will probably last years like that. I do the same with my FLG5 to make the seal last. Cheers

      Hi Marc, I think the 4000B should last OK. The seal on the FLG5 is a pain, I've changed mine 3 or 4 times. They are only cheap for a packet but just annoying.
      Thanks mate 👍

    Great video👍🏻, I’ve been following you for a while now and really enjoy your content. I was a professional painter for 27 years and always preferred Sata over everything else once I started using them, although I was always partial to Devilbiss ( the Tekna guns were nice too). That being said, Sata isn’t shy at all about their pricing and it’s gotten extreme, I have at least a dozen Sata guns lying around but if I didn’t and I needed one I would happily buy a copy these days for a fraction of the price , and that ntools gun looks like it does the job!. I just picked up an A610 because I’m spraying some trim in my house with an alkyd urethane and the biggest tip size I have for my Sata’s is a 1.5 which is just a little too tight without a lot of thinning. The A610 with a 1.7 works perfect and I’m shocked at how well that gun handles and sprays for the money

      Hi Robert, The quality of these guns is rather surprising considering their price, I know the original manufacturers have research and development to conduct but some of the pricing of the higher end guns are getting extreme to say the least.

      @@peteshobbies5383 I had a 1.7 for my Sata 3000 but someone stole it, I went checking on prices for another and they want $370…….for a tip set?!🤯
      I remember buying my first “real” gun, a Devilbiss JGA 502 and it was less than $100… with extras. I remember buying Sata Jet 90’s for a little over $200!

    Hi Pete, another good comparison as both guns put out a nice finish so for a cheap gun I think the Ntools is the better gun, as you mentioned here mate it's a better made gun at around the same price as the R500 and I think I said the same when I borrowed this gun along with the GTI copy and the GTI copy is not a nice gun to use😣😅
    The R500 is a nice gun and while I don't regret buying mine it's not a gun that's enjoyable to use but it makes a change now and then to get it off the gun rack, again as you said both guns are ideal for a DIY home user that want's to get a couple of jobs done as cheaply as possible👌

      Hi Roberto, As far as I know, the Vevor R802 gun is made by Rongpeng, the same company that makes the Aeropro R500 and A610 .

    Hi Pete.
    After watching your video, I bought 4000b RP 1.3.
    I have a problem with setting it up. For the base I chose a pressure of 1.8-2.0 bar, and for clear 2.0-2.2 bar. Fan to the max, and material to the max. As for the base, I cannot pour it like a smooth mirror, it is not flat. Something like very delicate orange peel. As for clear, it pours out quite nicely, up close it has a mirror effect, but when you step away you can see a strong orange peel.
    I will be very grateful to You for your help. Because I'm slowly giving up xD

      Hi Mate, What distance are you from the work? Is the base waterbourn or solvent?, I use around 1.8 bar for base coat, no more, 2 bar for clear.
      There will normally be some peel on basecoats, clears should be relatively flat, remember, speed will also make a difference to the finish

      @@peteshobbies5383 thank You for the reply. I keep distance from little finger to thumb (like in many videos). I use base from local store Spectral Base 2.0.
      I observed that I use material very quickly. 50ml base + 40ml thinner was used for two coats on fornt bumper splitter.
      Maybe the fan is to big and very big portion of material ends in air and not ont the painted part?

      @peteshobbies5383  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Most base coats are 50/50 mix,certainly for base coat I would turn the fluid down, around 2 1/2 turns out, distance around 150 to 175mm, it depends on the size of someones hand , a small hand would be closer than a big hand, that's why I normally give a distance measurement as it's more accurate.
      For Clear, full fluid and around 125 to 150mm away from the work

      Hi Mate, I've not used one, but I'm looking at it on Amazon, and I would suggest, going by the size of the air holes in the air horns that the only reason they are saying it LVLP is they are quoting it use at a low pressure, probably 16psi.
      It doesn't have a split nozzle, so I would again suggest that it's going to struggle at those low pressures to give a good finish. It's also quite expensive .

If they were the same price, I would say the Astro HE 1.3, it's as good as the Ntools 4000B, but because it doesn't use a sealing ring on the tip, I expect it to last longer and you have the option to get some parts should you need.

      It's the output of the compressor more than the tank size that dictates what it can power.

    You running through fluid wide open ? People can say what they want ! But for the price you can't beat the job it will do ? Some people will spray with a high dollar gun because what I would say don't like the challenge of being able to work with what you have I have a few paint guns not like you but I have more than I need. Bottom line if you can use a paint gun you can get a good finish with a cheap gun !

    • @peteshobbies5383
      @peteshobbies5383  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi buddy, yes, to a certain extent, that is true. A higher end gun makes it easier to achieve better results, but it's also nice to use good quality tools. Certainly, that's how I feel.
      One of the equations people often miss out is materials. The quality of materials can have a bearing on the final results, particularly the clear coat, so there are lots of variables

    Hi Pete, long time subscriber from Perth WA. Own Rongpeng R500 for ages and 4 x A610 and Ntools NVE 1.3. I have 300ltrs of compressed air on a pro setup so air delivery is no issue.
    I have just ordered an Ntools 4000B in 1.3 as curious to compare how that performs to my existing NVE 1.3 (my NVE was nearly double the price but have owned it for a year now)
    Can you kindly provide feedback on performance comparison of the newer 4000B 1.3 to their existing NVE 1.3
    What are the noticeable differences in the design of both the internals of the guns and the trigger feel and the aircaps?

    • @peteshobbies5383

      Hi mate, For me, the Ntools 4000B feels better made. A few people have had problems with the NVE leaking after a while.
      I think the 4000B will last longer. Only time will tell. It's also faster, which you may or may not prefer, it's finish is comparable to the NVE, people in Oz tell me these things are much more expensive over with you guy's, quoting around 150 AUD which in around twice what I paid.

I have. 26gal compressor I think it’s 4.5cfm at 90psi. I know it isn’t the best but it’s what i’ve got. would be interested in what guns you would recommend for me!

      @peteshobbies5383  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi buddy, your limiting factor is going to be your compressor, One of these would be fine for finish, but you may struggle with air, I would suggest something like an Anest Iwata Kiwami4 with BA4J cap, uses less air than these 2

      @BSevenly The Wider4L is very good but it uses a lot of air, it's quoted as using 9.5 cfm but that's at 16psi, many will need to use it around 22 to 24 psi for a good finish, just like people do with the LPH400, then it's using around 15 cfm which you don't have, very relevant when spraying a fair sized area

    • @peteshobbies5383

      @BSevenly I've just got an ANI Compact in 1.4, I'm waiting for the 1.3 set to be available so I can test them together and up against the R160, which it's designed around.
      I am also sorting a video out on air consumption for lots of mini guns, The Compact will be in that video, the main drawback with the ANI R160 is it needs quite a lot of pressure for a good finish with clear coat, certainly more than the 2.2 bar recommended so it air consumption isn't particularly low, it's not high buy it's not low either
