Matthew Cook - It Hurts Me Too

Elmore James wrote this song about an unrequited love way back in the day when he and Eric Clapton were playing with John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers. I was pretty young at the time but we used to listen to the Room To Move album a lot. Clapton kept this song alive over the years and I've been playing it since the 1970's.
This somewhat lo-fi recording comes off as an intimate performance shortly after the Christman grand piano made its way into my office several years ago. I had the lights installed here but not the sound system that I have today.
