To make a health pot just mix: 1 Gavel Beetle, 1 Blood Mushroom, and Water at an alchemy kit. To make a mana potion: 1 Star Mushroom, 1 Tummip, and Water.
Cool tutorial. However, imho, the only thing that you didn't speak of is the alternative of carrying currency. While coins have tremendous weight (0.1 inventory per coin) you have the alternative of buying GOLD INGOTS that actually hold the same purchase value throughout the whole journey and occupy only a fraction of space. Also if one doesn't want to start the main faction quest prematurely (like me, I have over 200h in the game and still didn't chose a faction), doesn't need a home in every city in order to store items, you can simply lie them around in any city area you choose and find them at any time just as you left them. Cheers.

I love how the game starts. If you can't make 150 silver in 5 in game days, you probably arent going to like the game anyway since it's meant to establish there is basicaly no hand holding in the game.
It’s survival dark souls, except combat is very very clunky. I don’t like to say it’s like a dark souls game, but it very much is a mix of DS and survival IMO
Also with the lantern, or a torch, you can just hit the "V" key. It will turn it on and off. It is very nice. I don't know the corresponding controller for those that enjoy using those.
There’s a 110 backpack you can get really early in the game. It’s in a gambit camp really close to the town you start out in. It says you need 2 power cores but if you look up videos you can get on top of the shack and when you get close to a pipe it says talk to npc and for some reason that unlocks the door for you to get the backpack. It’s the highest weight backpack in the game.

Yeah, and the first 2 power cores you get are better off spent getting the epic backpack from one of the Bandit Camps instead. Making clean water is pretty easy to do/find. Not worth restoring the town water unless you just really are that lazy.
I wasnt sure the purpose of the butterflies either but on my first character I had almost no health and no bandages so I went to lay out my bedroll right where he did and for some reason it said I didnt need to guard I didnt link that to the fact butterflies where there. Good tip.
How do you open the map though? I'm guessing it must be something obvious since I couldn't find an answer for this question anywhere, but I also couldn't find the map in-game... so I'm completely at a loss.

At the moment, im using worldledge greataxe, can solo dungeons in region 2 - the forest. You can get the greataxe easily, the dung is not that hard. I went there with tuanosaur greataxe and master trader set.
@@23pojebalsomtadopapule once you get down how the combat works, yeah, you can bring down any enemy, I'm still early in the game, I just cleared one of the dungeons in the flux mountain. it felt so good after so many times dying, that little t rex, i didn't leave until i knew how to kill it and dodge the right way also getting the sense how the combat works and what not to do, the game feels different. now I have to get the feel for different weapons and craft armor. i think when I'm ready, ill head to the forest. so every city you visit you gain stamina, health and mana ? of course after you pay for them lol i think a game could have a skill learning thing where you get to pay and do some kind of training to understand what the skill does or works
I'm really trying to understand this game. But I can't. 😓 The combat is too difficult. Adventuring is difficult. Everytime I run into an enemy, I just die time and time again. It's really frustrating. I've tried playing other games like this, but to no avail. I just can't grasp what the fuck I'm supposed to do. At all. And it's frustrating. Again. 😓 I'm not exactly what you'd call a hardcore gamer. Never have been. Playing games like Skyrim is too easy. The more I challenge myself, the flustered I become. Grrrrr! It's irritating me to no end. 😟 I seriously need something more than a in-game tutorial, and a video guide. Nothing helps. I'm not just complaining... I actually want to learn to play. But how? I can't even go anywhere. 😓😓😓😓
Start carefully. Get a melee weapon and a bow. Set them to your quick slots and one in your pocket in case you need to drop your bag. That way you can snipe at range to wear down the enemy, and finish them off by quickslot switching to melee for one or two hits. Alternately, traps are OP. Set some traps, pull with a bow, and lead them through the death spikes.
Also, be aware that if you drop your bag, when you dodge you have i-frames where you can't be hurt, but if you still have your bag on you and dodge, your dodge is slower and has no i-frames.
Half the fun of the game is figuring out how to overcome the wilderness and combat. By the very nature of giving tips, he is therefore spoiling part of the fun.

Well they went with the whole "dying is part of the process and there's many outcomes when it comes to it" but in general it's not as great as that sounded on paper.
Will also second this. But I have ad blocker so I didn't see that. I think he needs to look at radio and T.V. channels to see how reasonable ads should be dispersed. But I see what he is doing, but its not going to benefit him long-run. This is a Guide/Tutorial video, so he thinks it will have more views... rightfully so. But there are those out there that will skip the video if they see many ads. Or won't attempt to watch unless they have ad blocker to deny his ads like I have done. He doesn't get anything from the ad revenue from those that block them. And people will continue to use ad blockers the more the YT community over-saturates their channels with them. This is the way of life though, ay?
There actually is a tutorial (for the basics) but this game is designed not to walk you all the way. Some gamers prefer this type of challenging game play, that is why it is a niche market for games like this or Dark Souls etc.

So... I went to the tribal favor guy... and he was DEAD. Something tells me you left out a VERY important part, such as maybe there's a time limit to get to him before he dies? (This would've been VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW before explaining the trick with him.)
I have no idea, I got taken out several times before I remembered where to get to him, but I thought I had all the time in the world so I didn't care. And now I'm brutally impacted financially.
@@lonejohnwolf Buy blood mushrooms and turmmips from the alchemist. With an alchemy kit you can craft one of each of those plus water to get an astral potion that sells for 8 silver. Also thick oil + water makes warm potions that sell for 4 silver each (or can be used to keep warm in winter). Buying up all of these materials from all three vendors in Cierzo will net you around 200 silver in one go usually.
I actually know all about those tricks by now, but I still wouldn't be happy about paying such a high price for something that turns out to be kinda useless once you learn the game more. Also, it's not blood mushrooms, it's star mushrooms for astral potions.

You can even make Horror weapons before you ever reach Berg if you kite the mobs in the forest wind temple.

The backpack pipe thing has been patched out. You need power cores now. Just fyi for anyone.

It's made in a way to not be easy, to challenge you. I'm not sure what can I say to help you, just keep practicing and combat gets easier.
