Hang on, Ayato and Yoimiya makes a lot of sense! He's cool, conniving, proper. She's chaotic, dreamy, talkative. He's the older brother of her friend, Ayaka. They both oppose the Shogunate, he does it with political schemes, she does it by helping people. He's water, she's fire. I'm liking this. If this was a Korean Drama, you know full well that Ayato would be the chaebol heir, and Yoimiya would be the working class girl, and their paths inevitably cross all the time.

a large majority of fics aren’t canon compliant, this goes for every fandom i’ve seen. you could do “canon divergence where they meet”, which gives you the added bonus of fun new conflict or new solutions to conflict that results from them meeting. or “au where they meet”, aus don’t have to be bound to canon, so pretty much everything is fair game to decide (except character’s personalities, fuckin write an original story if you’re gonna make them ooc. also, similar roles/situations to canon or lines pulled from canon and repurposed are fantastic.)

They're both stressed out from working 24/7 but Jean faces all her problems and develops into a workaholic while Ei avoids most of her problems, so they'd end up balancing each other out. They'd also act as mirrors for eachother so they stop listening to their own BS. i.e, Jean will argue with Ei that she needs to relax and stop working so hard and realise little by little that she herself needs to relax more.
But that leaves Lisa and Yae Miko and that friendship absolutely terrifies me xD

If you're into story and lore then just watching videos or thread is fine but if you're also into atmospheric roaming then it's nice to play casually. It's a really casual game but have high addiction rate. Just don't throw money beyond 5$ optional subscription (it doesn't matter much anyway unless you want certain character in the long run)
