i just saw your first video an I'm not gana lie i may have trashed you a tad but seeing an update addressing the previous issues an showing viewers that you can take feed back and apply it is grade A bro look forward to seeing more of your content.
Hey man if you want to make a cool looking slug for that casing you could cast one using pewter or lead. Pewter is a little safer and you can find old pewter dishes at any 2nd hand store. It doesnt take a lot of heat to melt and even if the casting is crude you could throw it in the lathe and touch it up. I order a vevor latge as well and its nice to see a few videos made about them.
You need to sort the twist out of your lathes bed, otherwise you'll always cut a taper. Lots of tutorials for it online. Fairly easy to do, just need to shim the bolts that hold the bed to the base.
Ran across your first video as Matthias Wendel has a Vevor and I'm thinking of getting one. Gotta say, you sound like a hard-head, blame the tool kind of guy. Great that you got a book to clap back at the commenters, too bad you haven't either read it or watched any basic tutorials. A full 6 months after your first video, and its clear you've got a twist in the bed which is going to cause tapers and other issues. Every tutorial on YT and the internet and library discusses checking the bed for twist as on of the most important first tasks to do. Half a year since first video you've been running it like that, and your update is to complain about the tool again.... Might want to stick to paint and bodywork, cause you're lighting up all sorts of forums and other YT channels as an example of how not to get into machining,
The reallity of these Chinese cheap lathes are that they are horribly built and will likely not work out of the box. Yes, they can be made to work if you have the time and patience.

4:42, brother thats a thread cutting too, not a roughing bit :)
Exactly what I was thinking. He needs to watch about a weeks worth of lathe videos. He still knows absolutely nothing about.
