Super. My railroad still has seven almost fifty year old Mantua/Tyco MU-2 drive locomotives in operation. (Almost 10% of my fleet.) Two are Chicago, Burlington & Quincy/Burlington Route Chinese Red EMD GP-20 Locomotives that were fitted with dynamic brake blisters from two Lionel GP-9s, (Only the New York Central had GP-20s without dynamic brakes) had extra weight added, windows, diode directional headlights, and many new detail parts. The Geeps run great, both inside and outside, and have a nice patina on the paint job now that makes them look very realistic. Hello from the Tracy Mountain Railway in Colorado. 💙 T.E.N.
Thank you for posting this restoration. This video will help me in restoring the various Tyco\Mantua GP20s in the collection here. Very helpful indeed.
I have this locomotive. It was in a junk box in pieces. I rebuilt it, runs good. The burlington chinese red scheme is a favorite of mine. Try Bullfrog snot for traction tires. 😎👍!
