@@Forsaken-Orphan was good during its time... was even compared to further flagships of other brands... it also has scene recognition on camera, it was the early attempts of the modern ai camera which sony is not pursuing recently... most people nitpicks the poor viewing angles, but it compensates on better colors and high resolution display... 1080p for 5 inches, 6 inches phones with 720p in 2021 should be ashamed... but for modern use, on lollipop, it is, of course significantly slow... open the settings menu, it will have a couple of seconds before your next touch is registered... but better than touchwiz, again, during those times... i bought a refurbished one, because i fancy it before... z1 compact, my first xperia flagship is actually noticeably faster than it...
This phone is still a beast. Got mine in the half of 2013 and since handed it down to my nephew in immaculate condition. I have the Z3 now but this phone will always be one of the best smartphones. Has less problems than the 1 and 2 aswell. The original Z. Memories :-)

Great video but what's annoying me is that no one in their unboxing and first look/impressions videos express their first impressions on the screen. It drives me nuts because when the retina iPhone and the retina MacBook pro came out people first went on about the screen. Why don't they give first impressions on the first mobile phone to get a 1080p screen!
It isnt necessarily waterpoof but it is excellently water resistant, it will be able to survive up to 1 metre underwater for 30 minutes, hope this answered your question!

Hey @DetroitBORG Awesome video man! one correction, the MicroSD Slot can hold 64 gigs (apparently) as long as the 64gig MicroSD card is formatted in the right way :) i think you can format it with the phone itself
note II screen is quite low res for its size. its also lower quality. you should either consider upgrading to S4, if you like new features, or Xperia Z if you like the design and its water proof ability. they both have 5" 1080p screens so, although The S4's 8 core processor clocked at 1.6 might deliver more battery efficiency and power for multi tasking.

there is already a screen protector on the xperia Z... the sony logo is actually printed on the screen protector... if u take out the screen protector.. there is no more sony logo...
why sony didn't have white balance setting out of the box is a mystery. i went into my local car phone warehouse, and asked the sales person to have a look at a xperia z. i got my xperia z out to compare screens, sales person couldn't believe the big differences between them,

Shellee devereux, I would get the xperia z. I phones aren't very good, and break easily. The graphics are better on the xperia, and it's waterproof, so it won't break if you drop it in water. If you break the iPhone, you probably have to buy a new one, but the xperia can be sent of for repair. This is a personal opinion. Sorry I couldn't do a direct reply, I'm on a an ipad
depends a phone can only work with carriers that support the phones hardware. some carriers are cdma(verizon) and some are gsm (att). Gsm uses sim cards while cdma doesnt a verizon cdma phone will not work with sprint but you can interchange sim cards to switch between att and t mobile for example.
How wise is the idea of having a flap for the headphone port ? I mean isn't there a change the flap coming off ....How you gonna put that in your pocket when you plug your headphone in ? There is always a threat of flap coming off !

Got mine in 2015 maybe... Even then it wasnt outdated, cameras was solid. Design everything was on point. This phone aged very well even up to today
I remember buying this phone and pouring water on it where ever I was. Scaring family members off by doing that. Their face expression was priceless 😁

As long as I can flash the rom I want on this thing, it looks ideal.
Some people say that Sony heavily modified Android while others say it's one of the least modified. It's very confusing. Good review though.
Which is why whenever I look at buying an Android phone, it needs to have a good custom ROM community so I can customise it well
