I miss my Z ultra. This got me hooked on phablets but none have compared since. I broken the screen twice. First time repaired by Sony Canada but took 8 weeks. 2nd time i repaired it. Originally paid $300 CAD on discount from Sony. Didn't know about the Pen! Battery life was excellent, it's 90% battery. It's still in my desk, maybe I'll get another screen.
6 inches diagonal screen size in a 16:9 format (basically all old smartphone screen format) will give you give more screen space than in 21:9 format (most new smartphones are around this format)
I had one, it seemed so big but is really just a half inch bigger then some phones today. The best part is it came with a little bluetooth device that could function as a tiny phone, so you could leave the big phone in a bag and talk on the tiny device instead. I miss that set up.
Yoooooo~ I forgot about that little guy!! I used to plug my ANC bose to that thing and leave the z ultra elsewhere. That thing even had an earpiece AND speaker built in. Plus the sony leather case with magsafe battery in it was awesome. Great innovation. Superb setup.Good times.
Should've showed us a movie/video on how great the screen was as it's intended for. The bravia engine made for xperia was superb. Black was absolute black. It was crazy good.
The only phone I've owned where random strangers would ask me what the f* is that? Probably fair. As much as I love it, it was crazy awkward to carry on the daily. Put it in a front jeans pocket, instant claudication.
The only problem is ram. A z2 or z3 are still perfectly useable today. Very snappy sd800 and very stylish good looking phones with great camera that competes with modern midrangers.

I hated with my guts the lack of flash, though. One day I inadvertently put it in my back pocket, sat down on a hard plastic chair and it got bent and it got cracked screen too. Sad days.
MM. Gonna be picking up one tomorrow to build into my car.. if i like it. i might grab a second one but in purple.. i need this thing in purple.. it looks so sleek
Hi, does anything else work on this phone? have you done any app update? or did you just flash android without any updates? because I'm wondering about this phone for reading books, possibly youtube, if it still works at all.
Your video is great, but could you tell me what your computer system, tool version and driver are? When flashing my Z U, the green light only flashes once and then goes dark, and the tool keeps saying that my driver is old.
I have one but now youtube is not supported in this and I loved to read kindle books on this but now that's also not supported 😢😢 What to do with this now?

Yes once upon a time I have xperia e ,z1 ,xa1 plus ,M ultra ❤❤ I liked very much of xperia ui ( classic one ) now a days that vibe gone in xperia 😢😢
I had three. All bought used. Backplate kept popping out, bad glue maybe. And screen kept breaking.

Pretty crazy, nowadays phones have bigger screens but are smaller because of the thin bezels, and no one calls them phablet anymore

owned a Z ultra before,.got lost on my travels. but it is still the best designed phone for me even after 11years.

I've seen and used a Mega 1 and for some reason, it doesn't look or feel as large as this..this has a strange feel to it
Maybe the Mega 1&2 had a egonomic design which led it to become more sensible than Z ultra

ahead of its times. Along with Samsung Mega and Note, were phablets to really enjoy media, large the right way (16:9 etc..)

Still works I have one for a while now leave it on standard android software root if you want I have. Everything else works pretty good tbh
