The only problem is Paris Metro does not make these sounds as its wheels are special rubber tires. So yeah
The metro is just above. They are just under the tracks.
It looks like that training from "Collateral" paid off. The draw, first shot, and secondary attacker engagement is almost exactly the same as the alley scene in that movie. Well done.

Except that I would shoot the 3 other guys first. Ya, I know I'll get lots of disagreement on this, but think about it. It would take the one guy (the one about to kill the policewoman) more time to react and turn and aim and shoot at Ethan compared to the 3 other guys who were already facing Ethan with guns in hand and were not focused on doing something else (such as, focusing on killing a policewoman). It's unrealistic that Ethan could shoot 4 times in rapid succession accurately yet none of those 3 guys did not get a shot at him. Once he shot that one guy, those other 3 would have time to start shooting at him. This is why he should have shot the 3 first and not the one first. Remember that those 3 guys already had their guns in their hands. They would have shot him immediately after he took that first shot at the one guy. So Ethan would have stood a better chance if he had taken out the 3 first.

A thing I like is that even though Walker probably would have shot her himself, he still respect's Ethan's ability to shoot 4 people so well.
He wasn't just impressed. He was scouting what he was up against.

This one is really great scene, so many emotional feelings put in. Fear, confusion, bravery, ignorance, faith, and love in one scene.
This scene is a lot like the alleyway scene from Collateral, guess Cruise had to show that he’s still got it

I think a young cop (male) not perfectly sure of what he has to do would have also be OK for that scene.
As a native french speaker, I have to say that I am very impressed with Tom Cruise. It's not his grammar and vocabulary (they are perfect), it's the accent. Let me explain. The way Tom Cruise spoke French is exactly what a native french speaker expects an American to sound like. Now did Tom just say his lines as he saw fit or was he coached? I don't know but I have to say he nailed the "standard french accent of the average American" (as far as the French are concerned, of course....LOL)
Now I think some people wanted to know what the female police officer was saying on the radio. Let me have a crack at it:
Tom Cruise: Ca va aller. Ca va aller (It's gonna be ok. It's gonna be ok)
Guy on the radio: Allez y. (Go ahead)
Female Police Officer: Je blessee par balle (I have a gunshot wound)
Guy on the radio: Votre position? (Your location?)
Female Police Officer: Metro Passy. Je suis blessee (Passy Metro Station. I am wounded)
Guy on the radio: Metro Passy. Bien recu (Passy Metro Station. Got it)
Tom Cruise: Ca va aller. (It's gonna be ok)
Guy in the background: We gotta go.
Tom Cruise: Je suis desole. (I'm sorry)
I doubt the choice to speak French with an American accent was a deliberate choice. That level of thinking is too nuanced -- he simply spoke the French lines as best he could with his American tongue.

@Bernard Kam I totally agree with you about Tom Cruise's accent. I'm also half French so I can vouch for what you have just said in your explanation about Tom Cruise's accent.
His accent was easily above average. Even though I'm Portuguese, it's easy to detect that the accent is from a person that speaks native english. An example is how they pronounce the termination of words like "désolé". But he still did a really good job overall, which isn't surprising. This guy performs all kinds of physical stunts. It might be a little easier to be able to pull off about 30 words in a respectable French accent after some coaching. 😁

If I was to speak French you wouldn't notice the difference in my accent. Due to the fact that I've been taught to speak French by my parents for over 50 years.

As a native French speaker, I can tell you Tom did pretty well. There’s an obvious accent but you can tell he tries to pronounce it as authentically as possible. Sounds better than the French Canadian’s Quebecois.
Like your french has any kind of credibility with half the words you are using are from english.

A good friend of mine from France told me that he had a terrible time in Quebec because they were using the 1800s French and not the modern French France speaks . I always thought that to be interesting!

I like the humane side of Ethan most of the time. He may have a cold-blooded and kill-if-necessary character but there are bits of such encounters which make us love such character even more.

I see warmth in her eyes that she gets to see her beloved ones again. Life might have flashed infront of her eyes when the thug came to her to end her life. She looks at Ethan thankfully and like She's never going to reveal who killed the 4 thugs.
I became unconscious once the bullet hit my side. I don't know who shot those 4 idiots.

I dont know about unconscious, she seemed pretty conscious with the call in. though not being able to see straight from blood loss, heard four shots from someone unseen and the thugs falling down. would probably suffice without faking unconscious and more believable.

I know it's small, but that last guy to get shot did such a good job portraying being shot in the chest. Everyone else just kinda flops over, but he looks like he's being punched in the chest and having the air knocked out of him. Curling forward and falling backward like that. Having unfortunately seen this in real life, I can say it looks just like that.
He also got a shot off, which is also a nice touch because he was the last to be shot and had more time to react.

Actually when u get shot in the chest ur legs give out and and thats it. All that depends is if u stand wirh ur knees locked. The bullet is moving too fast to look like getting punched and its shown that these guys dumped rheir armor. So when u get shot u just turned into a meat sack and u slump over. U dont fall
The funny thing to me is, when the guy wouldn't have had the bag over his head, NOTHING would've happened!

I'm french and i can tell you Tom's french is really decent. Anyway, for me this scene was completely changed by Simon Pegg when he told in The Graham Norton show that they had to drive that car back and forth in Paris to make multiple takes on this scene. And that at one moment Henry Cavill decided to run next to the car, and that Tom cruise drive along side him singing the super man theme.

The way the last henchman fell after getting shot, how he was all stiff with his legs straight underneath him; that is accurate to how a gunshot victim would be like immediately after getting shot. It's the small details that makes this scene so darn impressive.

The actress who plays the policewoman is actually a well known actress in France, although her name escapes me while I was writing this comment. The fact that she had a speaking part with Tom Cruise no less gives her brief appearance in the movie more credence.
