Deros 33000 Yeah, but at least most decks could easily use it. I think this archetype may be different because of the requirements of the spells. Since it wont be as generic as Invoked then people may be less willing to play it in everything. It'll probably be more like metalfoes were, people will try them in everything, only to find out that its use as an engine is rather limited, compared to how Invoked(and windwitch) are literally for everybody to abuse.
The playstyle is very refreshing and the link monsters have such an interesting marker. So far it seems that it’s more of a splashable engine like invoker but with more control approach. I bet Psy-Frame and Yosenju will love the “no monster in your main Monster Zone” requirement! Can’t wait to see how other ygo players use this archetype
The two "pop a card, then another one" are so you wouldn't have to dump spells to be able to destroy a specific threat like if they'd just had one or the other, and once you DO have 3 in the grave, the secondary pop doesn't target, which is nice.
I love how you can target rei with the field spell, and then use her effect (as it's a quick effect), letting you link and possibly get a new brandish spell
I love this archetype if only for the reason it's the complete inverse of the meta and apparently is pretty powerful in casuals. Meta is all about tons of monsters and less focus on backrow action; while this is one monster and craptons of backrow action.
I am in the same boat as you on these, I am going to be buying them when they come out(as long as they are not crazy expensive), mainly because when I started reading the effects and really liked how they work.
Invoked Brandish Maidens.... mmmm.... See there’s too many cons in my opinion. Cons: - Both need to have the normal summon to really go off so they conflict there sure you can ss Maiden but you need to normal summon her first. - Maiden is DARK, and her links are WATER and FIRE. The best Invoked you can make with this is Purgatrio which isn’t bad, but not always optimal. - Link monsters are UPWARDS diagonals. That’s a problem. - Both together are especially weak to Anti-Spell Fragrance and Special Summon stun decks.
Nub here, Can you use the "Field Spell of Brandish Maiden " in 3:15 to target a "Brandish Maiden Quick Spell" you control then chain that Quick Spell after it is targeted? Just wondering if you can still get the Field Spell effect as "The Brandish Maiden Field Spell" costs is to target and it doesnt send the card you target to the deck until the end of it's effect.
I wonder how well this would work with mythical beasts as an additional engine fused with it. Maybe run 2 of each spell and the main good mythical beast support? Possibility.
And I thought he was wrong about Borrelsword Dragon and that it was significant... I can't blame him too hard for this considering that Magical Musketeer is not meta, and has a similar design to this

Basically, anything that can get a really good monster in it's extra monster zone while keeping everything else clear. Seems like way too much work if you ask me.
if she's a warrior type then you could use copy knight to possibly use spells or other shit easier. Cause only have 3 of her and all those spells means you need some kind of monsters than can gain her name to pop effects off of.
That upper right or left link arrow... Even if you don't use the spells, get something that has bottom left or right, get out maiden, if you have other monsters you can go into extra link if you you are going first.
Absolutely picking this deck up, for research purposes... but other than that. In my observations, I noticed that the link monsters both point diagonally up but why is that? Could it be that they might actually be pointing to something else, possibly a final form Link monster??? Even if we don't get it in this pack, Invoked got an additional link monster later so I think it's entirely possible, also if you check Kagari's artwork there's the number 003 in her armor and Shizuku has 002. I don't see any digits for Rei so it's entirely possible there could be a 001 on an ultimate ace monster.
Also, with the color schemes that seem to be applying here it's plausible that her links could be based off of primary colors of which there are 3 red, blue and yellow. If yellow is the final one, it will likely by a LIGHT monster also going with the original theme of the card pack being a "savior."
If they give them more link 1 (lets say for each attribute maybe even divine, who knows) I think this is exactly like zoodiacs but with links instead of xyz. Note: when I say zoodiac, I mean in terms playstyle like 1 monster can go through the extra deck but not in terms of power (yet).

Just like with Paleozoic, you don't need to play alot of monsters. You could get away with just 3 Maiden Reis and 3 Summoner Monks. I mean, you only really need Rei in the main deck and the links only need 1 Maiden that isn't their attribute. However, each monster only has 1500 attack, so how do you protect them? The Links only have one UP arrow, so you can't bring them both out, and even if you could, all the spells require no monsters in the main zone. Kagari only helps herself, Shizuku lowers the opponents monsters so I guess that's good, but it's by 100 points each and with 10 spells so fair, you ain't beating over anything unless you collide with a Dark Magician. Hopefully we get some more Links or spells that increase attack. I love the idea of badass chicks in giant mechs.

But for now u could probably play it with some spirits like shinobird or stuff that foes back to hand at end of ur turn like yosenju. Or maybe a pure build with a bunch of stun traps? This is like the reverse of Sky-fang Brigade, where they have more then enough monsters, but not enough spells/traps, this has a few too many spells, but barely enough monsters, and then the Vampire is a Rank 6. I know the set isn't fully revealed yet, but it's just kinda confusing.
Its one bitch only though, they're all the same girl. They might add more bitches later on though. In fact, pretty sure they will, every magical girl must have a rival or some sidekicks.
The thing back then, there was not an archetype that try to replace monsters with spells completely, but slapping every possible good effect the game ever had in one archetype is probably gonna end bad.
