I don't know why they put Hitler in but no other historical figures. Nobody wanted Rudi,Helga Schabbs or Irene Engel. Exploring this other side would've been interesting,the resistance within the National Socialist machine. Klaus was the perfect character for this,but killed off WAY too early.

MGS Peacewalker had co-op stealth that worked well when you jived with your partner. If they detected you, your partner was still in the clear unless they went out and got discovered too. If you were found out by a soldier you couldn't see but your friend could, your friend could quickly ice them and save you from the alert if they had a clean shot.

Wolfenstein 3 will for sure take place after Youngblood. It will most likely involve BJ going around the world (like Asia and Africa) to recruit resistance fighters against the nazis. And that sounds pretty cool to me. Oh and about the Hitler thing, MachineGames can still technically save this. I saw someone talk about how the nazis could use BJ's body to clone an BJ army and possibly attach Hitler's head to BJ's body. So instead of mecha Hitler we could get BJ Hitler. I really hope MachineGames goes with this idea.

Interesting fact: Arkane, who are well known for Prey and Dishonored, and have people who originally worked at Looking Glass Studios (effectively, the lords of the immersive sim level design) worked on Youngblood alongside Machine games. That's likely why the level design in Youngblood is one of the only redeeming qualities, because Arkane have always put interesting, multi-routed level design before anything else.
Arkane Studios are fucking incredible. And their art style is very obvious whenever it's on show. Sort of a mish-mash of steampunk and modern. Hell, it makes sneaking around shit in Dishonored 1 and 2 one of the reasons why I always end up taking forever to complete missions, because there's so much to find.

Nah it means the devs did a poor job at balancing the game for multiplayer. If there’s like 6-8 guards for an outpost and you roll in with 4 people, there’s simply no need for planning, tactics or anything.
tni333 people do planning and tactics to make the game more enjoyable. Maybe it shouldn't be as easy to rush in, but the game was always about finding a good sniping spot and taking out the right people at the right time. Or at least sneak into the base with a suppressed weapon and work your way around it. I agree that "If your always rushing in ghost recon then that's not the game for you"

The dogs with explosives strapped to them is a bizarre choice because the Nazis historically didn't do that, and were pro animal rights. It WAS something the allies did though to destroy tanks.
@@motherurck7542 Fun fact: The Russians did train dogs to go under tanks and blow them self up but they forgot to use a German tank and instead they used their own tanks. Which in the end means that dogs rushed under Russian tanks and blew them up instead of the German tanks.

And by "travel to another dimension", B.J. means "be one of the contestants in QUAKE Champions". It's true, he's in it and you can play as him! Along with the DOOM Slayer and Ranger, the PC from the very first Quake game.
Co-operative stealth done right? Army of Two. It had a really neat system that made it so that one player could take "Aggro" and they'd focus on them while the other could sneak around. It was really cool for its time.

Splinter Cell's cooperative stealth was incredible. But unlike Wolfenstein where stealth is an optional / common route, in the Splinter Cell series the mechanics are oriented near-exclusively towards it.
great analysis! - for me the biggest problem is the story, the 2nd game ended in *somewhat* of a cliffhanger and I was looking forward to the third game for the story alone. Young blood LITERALLY spoils the third game, if there ever was going to be one. Now we know, B.J. will live, Anya will live, Grace will live..
I was level 35 fighting the final boss and he was a higher level then me I managed to kill him and after seeing that ending I've never been so ready and willing to uninstall a game off my console knowing I'll never touch this shit again.

Wolfenstein Young Blood feels like a sneeze that almost happens, but then disapates out of nowhere. Like a moth that scares you, like an itch that resolves itself before you're able to scratch it. Fuck that game.
Mostly because it gives the players a ton of ways to get out of getting caught and has sprawling enough maps to justify multiple people sneaking around
On the gameplay aspect, back when I played Wolfenstein The New Order, I was in a section where I was told to run to the back of the vehicle to get to the next section, but the issue was that there were enemies out the front of the windscreen and I wanted to kill all of them, the issue is that they demolished my health and armour and chewed up my ammo and before I could die I was thrown into the next section due to an invisible timer and, as a result, I got stuck in a single area surrounded by German soldiers with a corner for cover, 25 HP, and fifteen bullets for my assault rifle while the germans had five fire guys, two shotguns guys, a commander and a bunch of grunts, and every time I died to them I was thrown back to the start of that section, so every time I died I could measure my progress with the number of bodies I took with me, to the point where if I took the commander out I knew I could survive for one extra minute, it was so fucking frustrating, every minute I died against the Germans, every second in the battle counted towards my survival, every memorized gun or health pack could assist in me getting closer to surviving, every time I failed I tried a different tactic, and eventually after half an hour of dying and respawning, I finally got to the next checkpoint and when that happened I felt GREAT, it showed that, if I could remember my screw-ups, if I could figure out the best strategy, I would eventually come out on top no matter how impossible the situation, and it all happened because of a single mistake. This game doesn't seem to have any of that, and as such, I don't even want to play it.
Also between the 5 month time difference of wolfenstein new order to new colossus practically everything had changed but in 20 years between youngblood and colossus almost nothing has changed... wat
the funniest thing is that while the revive system makes you basically immortal in coop, it is almost the exact opposite in singleplayer because the npc you get to fight with is absolutely suc|dal. it dies every few seconds forcing you to constantly protect it and therefore always stay out of cover because the devs thought it would be a good idea to not change the coop 3 life system which means if it dies 3 times you're dead aswell. the core singleplayer experience is basically one of those stupid "protect this slow walking npc"-missions. great game design👍
I really enjoyed the co-op stealth in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Game was pretty broken if you abused the AI partners and how they were A) pretty much invincible, B)pretty much invisible to enemies and didnt trigger alarms and C) the Infinite, low CD Marked Shot. However, when you play with actual people, you dont get any AI partners, so if you only have 2 people playing, thats all you have. You have to coordinate marked shots manually, any player/drone can be spotted, and also, people can get hurt (Seems like common sense but the AI partners are literally bulletproof). And I really enjoyed coordinating in that game with other, live people over voice chat, as full frontal assaults almost never worked unless you had a tank or gunship softening them up.
As a german, i cringed myself into an alternate timeline where the nazis won the second world war and someone made a game about what the world wouldve looked like if the allies won, it was a game about two twin brothers... und es war scheiße.
Between the ball-busting mechanics, the Naruto-type backtracking, the characters that gave me cringe AIDS, the dialogue that made me tear my earlobes with a wooden spoon, and all the interesting plot elements that were solved off-screen, the worst thing this game did for me was to ruin any chance of seeing BJ encounter the Doom Slayer and Commander Keen and create a family team to fight against a threat worse than the Nazis. With Ranger joining the party later. Is that too much to ask, id?
I feel like being stealthy in a game is how it would be in real life for example in real life you have to rely on each other to not get caught because if one gets caught you both can and that's like in the game Payday 2 so I don't see that being broken just gotta work as a team to not get caught

bought it recently... its quite good i dont get why its shitted on. i had quite a blast with my friend i played mostly stealth and he went fuck this and gun and run the whole game. so alot of times i found some neat secret passages like shortcuts. while he focussed on blasting nazi's..

I actually played this game for a bit off of Game Pass... Don't get me wrong, had some fun with it, but I dipped off not too long after the laser floor robot boss. Now, I like shooters, but I don't think this is one I'll come back to. Side note, the little cutscenes where the two sisters are goofing around while waiting in elevators, and the first kill where one of them vomits almost immediately after going through with it were probably the best parts of this game, at least for me.
You have no idea how disappointed I was with Youngblood. I had such high hopes for that game. I love wolfenstein, but no game will ever make me feel the way I did when I played The New Order.
Monaco has some pretty decent co-op stealth. It's hard, of course, but the game is built completely around that dynamic. So it works well if your teammates aren't braindead.
I played this game about 6 months after release. I played solo and my experience was overall positive. The AI partner never interrupted my stealth streak (AI have infinite camo). It just felt like a New Colossus expansion. The final boss is meant to be killed with your unlocked ability and not by shooting him. I was level 25 and killed him no problem. Also - this game was not made by machinegames, it was made by Arkane Studios. The issues you had here appear to have been fixed in the latest version. The dogs bark, the crates stay open, AI doesn't derp out as much.
4 years on, I played this game and got to the final boss somehow without having to do too many side quests. I got to the final boss heavily under levelled and after trying for over an hour gave up and exited to desktop. The next day when I tried to reopen the game to take another shot at it I get told that there was an account error and as such my progress has been lost and a new account had been created.

Uwe Boll, he's such a nice guy and he paid for our honeymoon because of all that money he saved shooting Blubberella using the already paid for by the studio sets of BloodRayne 3. Seeing the reaction that Youngblood's characters and writing have received confuses me because I remember when all these problems were present in The New Colossus and nobody seemed to mine then.
7:40 Adding doggos also brings a new problem to Wolfenstein. Up til now, Wolfenstein always gave the pleasure of an enemy that feels and is objectively ok to kill: Nazis. Just like Doom went for demons. Brainwashed, abused dogs broke this neat and traditional cycle.

Interesting fact: Arkane, who are well known for Prey and Dishonored, and have people who originally worked at Looking Glass Studios (effectively, the lords of the immersive sim level design) worked on Youngblood alongside Machine games. That's likely why the level design in Youngblood is one of the only redeeming qualities, because Arkane have always put interesting, multi-routed level design before anything else.
Arkane Studios are fucking incredible.
And their art style is very obvious whenever it's on show. Sort of a mish-mash of steampunk and modern.
Hell, it makes sneaking around shit in Dishonored 1 and 2 one of the reasons why I always end up taking forever to complete missions, because there's so much to find.
Arkane also can't write for shit, which also explains the writing.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands works very well when doing stealth in co op. Especially if one goes in and the other plays an overwatch/sniper role.
There’s just no need to do so. My experience in Wildlands with 3 other people was „rush as fast as you can so maybe you can get 1 or 2 kills for yourself“

Nah it means the devs did a poor job at balancing the game for multiplayer. If there’s like 6-8 guards for an outpost and you roll in with 4 people, there’s simply no need for planning, tactics or anything.
tni333 people do planning and tactics to make the game more enjoyable. Maybe it shouldn't be as easy to rush in, but the game was always about finding a good sniping spot and taking out the right people at the right time. Or at least sneak into the base with a suppressed weapon and work your way around it. I agree that "If your always rushing in ghost recon then that's not the game for you"

The dogs with explosives strapped to them is a bizarre choice because the Nazis historically didn't do that, and were pro animal rights.

The Russians did train dogs to go under tanks and blow them self up but they forgot to use a German tank and instead they used their own tanks. Which in the end means that dogs rushed under Russian tanks and blew them up instead of the German tanks.

Co-operative stealth done right? Army of Two. It had a really neat system that made it so that one player could take "Aggro" and they'd focus on them while the other could sneak around. It was really cool for its time.

Splinter Cell's cooperative stealth was incredible. But unlike Wolfenstein where stealth is an optional / common route, in the Splinter Cell series the mechanics are oriented near-exclusively towards it.
Good cooperative stealth = Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Young blood LITERALLY spoils the third game, if there ever was going to be one. Now we know, B.J. will live, Anya will live, Grace will live..

Wolfenstein Young Blood feels like a sneeze that almost happens, but then disapates out of nowhere. Like a moth that scares you, like an itch that resolves itself before you're able to scratch it. Fuck that game.
In the case of the dogs, even the kampfhunds from the other games had a distinct and noticeable growl to tell you that they were charging at you.

On the gameplay aspect, back when I played Wolfenstein The New Order, I was in a section where I was told to run to the back of the vehicle to get to the next section, but the issue was that there were enemies out the front of the windscreen and I wanted to kill all of them, the issue is that they demolished my health and armour and chewed up my ammo and before I could die I was thrown into the next section due to an invisible timer and, as a result, I got stuck in a single area surrounded by German soldiers with a corner for cover, 25 HP, and fifteen bullets for my assault rifle while the germans had five fire guys, two shotguns guys, a commander and a bunch of grunts, and every time I died to them I was thrown back to the start of that section, so every time I died I could measure my progress with the number of bodies I took with me, to the point where if I took the commander out I knew I could survive for one extra minute, it was so fucking frustrating, every minute I died against the Germans, every second in the battle counted towards my survival, every memorized gun or health pack could assist in me getting closer to surviving, every time I failed I tried a different tactic, and eventually after half an hour of dying and respawning, I finally got to the next checkpoint and when that happened I felt GREAT, it showed that, if I could remember my screw-ups, if I could figure out the best strategy, I would eventually come out on top no matter how impossible the situation, and it all happened because of a single mistake. This game doesn't seem to have any of that, and as such, I don't even want to play it.

the funniest thing is that while the revive system makes you basically immortal in coop, it is almost the exact opposite in singleplayer because the npc you get to fight with is absolutely suc|dal. it dies every few seconds forcing you to constantly protect it and therefore always stay out of cover because the devs thought it would be a good idea to not change the coop 3 life system which means if it dies 3 times you're dead aswell. the core singleplayer experience is basically one of those stupid "protect this slow walking npc"-missions. great game design👍
I really enjoyed the co-op stealth in Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Game was pretty broken if you abused the AI partners and how they were A) pretty much invincible, B)pretty much invisible to enemies and didnt trigger alarms and C) the Infinite, low CD Marked Shot. However, when you play with actual people, you dont get any AI partners, so if you only have 2 people playing, thats all you have. You have to coordinate marked shots manually, any player/drone can be spotted, and also, people can get hurt (Seems like common sense but the AI partners are literally bulletproof). And I really enjoyed coordinating in that game with other, live people over voice chat, as full frontal assaults almost never worked unless you had a tank or gunship softening them up.
Splinter Cell Blacklist and Payday 1 and 2 all had good co-op stealth
As a german, i cringed myself into an alternate timeline where the nazis won the second world war and someone made a game about what the world wouldve looked like if the allies won, it was a game about two twin brothers... und es war scheiße.

I thought the splinter cell games had some nice co op stealth . . .
Between the ball-busting mechanics, the Naruto-type backtracking, the characters that gave me cringe AIDS, the dialogue that made me tear my earlobes with a wooden spoon, and all the interesting plot elements that were solved off-screen, the worst thing this game did for me was to ruin any chance of seeing BJ encounter the Doom Slayer and Commander Keen and create a family team to fight against a threat worse than the Nazis. With Ranger joining the party later.

Assassin's creed unity. The stealth with freinds makes it easier, and if one gets detected the other will remain uknown until they find him.
I feel like being stealthy in a game is how it would be in real life for example in real life you have to rely on each other to not get caught because if one gets caught you both can and that's like in the game Payday 2 so I don't see that being broken just gotta work as a team to not get caught

its quite good i dont get why its shitted on. i had quite a blast with my friend i played mostly stealth and he went fuck this and gun and run the whole game.
so alot of times i found some neat secret passages like shortcuts. while he focussed on blasting nazi's..

I absolutely love it.
I actually played this game for a bit off of Game Pass... Don't get me wrong, had some fun with it, but I dipped off not too long after the laser floor robot boss. Now, I like shooters, but I don't think this is one I'll come back to.
Side note, the little cutscenes where the two sisters are goofing around while waiting in elevators, and the first kill where one of them vomits almost immediately after going through with it were probably the best parts of this game, at least for me.
You have no idea how disappointed I was with Youngblood. I had such high hopes for that game. I love wolfenstein, but no game will ever make me feel the way I did when I played The New Order.
Monaco has some pretty decent co-op stealth.
It's hard, of course, but the game is built completely around that dynamic. So it works well if your teammates aren't braindead.
I played this game about 6 months after release. I played solo and my experience was overall positive.
The AI partner never interrupted my stealth streak (AI have infinite camo). It just felt like a New Colossus expansion.
The final boss is meant to be killed with your unlocked ability and not by shooting him.
I was level 25 and killed him no problem. Also - this game was not made by machinegames, it was made by Arkane Studios.
The issues you had here appear to have been fixed in the latest version.
The dogs bark, the crates stay open, AI doesn't derp out as much.
Every splinter cell coop experience is perfect.
4 years on, I played this game and got to the final boss somehow without having to do too many side quests. I got to the final boss heavily under levelled and after trying for over an hour gave up and exited to desktop. The next day when I tried to reopen the game to take another shot at it I get told that there was an account error and as such my progress has been lost and a new account had been created.

Uwe Boll, he's such a nice guy and he paid for our honeymoon because of all that money he saved shooting Blubberella using the already paid for by the studio sets of BloodRayne 3. Even Olga from Octoberfest was there as the maid of honor. Olga taught us the Frankfooter .. It's not what you think unless you are thinking in a highly sexual tantric kind of way. And she had the most Amazing Beer! What a Country!

7:40 Adding doggos also brings a new problem to Wolfenstein. Up til now, Wolfenstein always gave the pleasure of an enemy that feels and is objectively ok to kill: Nazis. Just like Doom went for demons. Brainwashed, abused dogs broke this neat and traditional cycle.
I pirated this game a few months back and removed it about 25 minutes later.
Yesterday I bought 3 wolfenstein games. New order, old blood and colossus. Just started new order and im loving it.
