4:02 holy cow, protecting the berries in that way is such a big brain move. I would just go around clearing the trees with wells since they are small until I felt like the trees were far enough away to not worry, but this is 100x better!
I'd like to hear about how to deal with the bugs. Storage workers who put out all firewood tents. Malthouse that does nothing despite having huge amounts of barley (new bug). Trade posts that earn little income despite having 5 purchased trade routes. One morgan farms that yield 5 grain at 60% fertility during 2nd year of farming.
@@solhoot These are from the new patch I was testing. I played about 6 years then gave up. Stable release seems to have fewer bugs. New release has incredible graphic effects.

@@solhoot We appreciate the video and it was great, good format and lots of good information. Great editing as well. Just giving some constructive criticism that'll make it even better, when you talking about an item/subject/ place etc, maybe just put a label/subtitle on screen so people can know exactly what you're talking about, since many people I'm assuming aren't even native English speakers. But you do great work, thanks!
Hello. Thank you for the helpful video. Can you answer one question I have, which I haven't been able to figure out. In bigger cities, sometimes one marketplace is too far from certain houses/burgage plots, which causes unsatisfied needs and reduced approval. I tried building a second marketplace closer to the more distant houses, but I couldn't find any way to relocate already existing food/goods stalls, or telling the granary workers to open new food stalls at the new marketplace. How can this be solved?
@@CaHgO thank you. You left click the stall you wanna move, than click the relocate icon and move it to new location. You can also destroy your old marketplace and make it smaller. (This will cause chaos for the approval for a while ) Or you can add more grannary / storage workers to fill up the first marketplace.
@@solhoot I tried doing the relocate option, but what happens (latest patch) is the old one is removed, goods are left on the ground. A new stall appears, but for some reason it says "abandoned" and it does not function and the goods are not transported there and are left to spoil. So this is obviously not working. I tried adding more granary/storage workers, but they just continue to set stalls on the initial marketplace, which is far from the houses who are complaining have no access to food/goods. Even though the original marketplace has plenty of already existing stalls.
@@CaHgO I havent tested moving stalls after recent patch. You should go to Manor lord discord. There you have Manor-Lords- Help community and alot of other things . Ask there. Its really alot of helpful people on that Discord :)
@@CaHgO My understanding is that it remains abandoned until they move the stuff off of the ground, if this isnt the case then the stall cant be rebuilt due to not having any resources to put into it(usually bc theyre on the ground and they take a minute to move). Sometimes ill unclick the market stall button in the building it is in and reclick it. Idk if that works just a precaution.
Also why are you making circles? I saw a few other guides for the game. Some players said its better to have small fields for farming rather than large ones. Any particular reason?! What should I focus on building at the start of the game?!
Circles is just for fun design. Farms should be long and thin for better plowing. Get the basic up first, 5 houses, hunting camp, church, forewood and so on. I have more videos have i do it on my channel :)
Getting more trade visits would revolutionize playing. Money brings so many more options. What evidence do you have that this works? And is it significant enough to move the city? Even the developer maintains that a connected trade post is all that is needed for trade to work. However, perhaps he hasn't tested this aspect of how his code works?
@@geoffwitt4227 well you can just test it. Just Shorter travel time. Have seen others test it before. But I don't abuse it kinda. I'm just have it back of my mind when I place trading post
How do you deal with attacks early on in the game either bandits or another player. I focus on building a city only to have bandits come in and burn down many buildings before I can equip an adequate militia.
@@markbrown51 many ways, but you can trade early to get some money, like 50-100, than rent army and take out bandits camp with that army. Than you can rent again and defend ur city. But you should build manor and start making ur army as fast as you can.
think on 2 forester you can have 3 firewood cutters with atleast 1 ppl in each. But i always start with 2+2 and than i expand whatever i see i need and can. Speed not the same.
Make sure you put a well right next to the forester, they need to use the water when planting trees, them having to walk across the city to the one well wastes a lot of time

I havent played the game yet and the tips seems pretty advanced. Why are you removing the forest? Isnt this supposed to be Wood to be used?!
Yes. I remove forrest to make it easy to see what i build. You can easy replant forrest with the forrester so you have wood forever ;)
