I flew from Connecticut to Minneapolis just for this concert. It was FANTASTIC!!! I saw the Revolution 6 more times after this. I wish I could've seen them more!!!!!
Donna I hear ya! It was truly a Magical experience. Prince's motorcycle was there too. I know for a fact that he was smiling down on us. First Ave looks exactly the way it did during the movie. We were all in awe.
Thanks so much for posting this. I wish I could have been there. These cats were all icons of my youth, not only Prince. Being a keyboard player influenced by them I loved seeing the Dr. and Lisa both still playing those OB-8 synths. As hard as these shows must have been to get through, I'm glad they did it. Hopefully it was cathartic for everyone.
It wouldn't sound right if they were using some awful workstation patches, or some vst emulating those keys. They're true keyboard players, they know it would sound cheap and unfaithful if they've done that. I'm a keayboard player too... and I'm glad they did that... those keys are an instrument by themselves not only a synth: it's THE Sound!!!

This show just shows how underrated his bands always were. Even Bobby Z, who was stuck competing against a drum machine much of the time. But yeah. I mean. In an era when he didn't let the band do much on recordings, Wendy & Lisa were allowed to co-write songs. He always knew what he had even if others didn't

Wendy. very talented musician . One of the most beautiful women I have seen in my lifetime , but above all a just such a lovely human being.
