In the Middle East it’s called Patrol and has a small fridge in the front center console, That said my problem with car is the button shifter & air suspension.
Love the no-nonsense boxy look - while I’d prefer the roar of that venerable naturally aspirated Y62 Patrol-sourced 5L V8 in the previous model, this new twin-spool V6 could provide seamless linear power delivery with no lag - I’d love someone on TH-cam to review turbo-lag performance in detail. Also, can you turn off stupid stop-start stuff? And of course, the off-road components are all Patrol, so they would be exemplary - i would get diff-locks and a snorkel from Nissan if available or look around for after-market options. I’ve loved the last few years of Armadas - ever since Nissan brought over the Y62 Patrol and re-badged it for the US. Legendary machine!
GM will remain the space and sales king, but this thing is really nice and would get my money if I were shopping in this class. The interior is very luxurious and has decent space. This feels more like a Land Cruiser than the real LC we get now.
I am in the market for a full-sized SUV. I have compared and test-driven its GM "off-road" counterparts, the Expedition, Sequoia, and this Armada. You would spend $5,000 to $20,000 more to equip a GM product like the Armada, and the same applies to the Expedition. I liked the Sequoia TRD-PRO; however, the issues with the second and third rows and the small cargo area make it a no-go for me. Nissan is releasing a full-fledged Patrol for the U.S. market, and I have decided on the PRO-4X. Unfortunately, they won't arrive until late February.
It’s putting out more HP and torque than its predecessor. This motor was integrated from the GTR. It’s tried and true. I think Nissan hit it out of the park with this. And its price is very reasonable compared to the competitors

Ben thanks for the video! Please review a Pro4x trim if you get a chance. Also, is this the next family vehicle? Is it worth it, would the wife drive it? I’m serious considering it. Is it better than any of your Toyotas?
Thank you Ben. I wanted to see this to see what Nissan was doing. It competes with the Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon and Jeep Grand Cherokee. You said something that is true.. they do have more technology in the newer cars as shown by this vehicle. You said it did not offer a V8. The Lincoln Navigator does not have a V8 either. I kept thinking watching this why did they dump the Titan truck? I can see why. That segment is too hot and competitive. I missed your review of the Infiniti version. I will have to look for it. Good and informative review.
I think this a a great looking truck. However, I absolutely do not understand the concept of a luxury 7 seat SUV. Of course I can see that there is a tiny market segment where you need to haul 7 people in comfort. But the vast majority would either need a 5 seat SUV that is economical to off road capable or they would need a practical family kid hauling SUV that is cheap and robust or a SUV that you can use to haul 7 adults to a job site. I just don't see enough people paying that money and choosing that sensitive interior to transport kids or a sports team or friend to a hiking trip. I guess Nissans (and their competitors) market research believes otherwise.
Well, the Escalade is a good seller, so is the Yukon Denali….the market for them is so popular, Jeep brought back the Wagoneer after 30+ yrs. There’s a market out there, whether you understand why or not.
@@Treble323 well you’re certainly correct on that point and no one even needs to look up sales numbers just drive around on the interstate every day that’s all you see for full size suv.
Can u review the SL trim it more affordable for the market people?
Like your videos Ben.
Speakers are pronounced clip-shhh - Klipsch are pretty good as well 😎

The steering wheel itself looks like a Nissan Cube 😂😂😂
Definitely better than the competition
It's actually quite sharp looking and nothing like a Ford Flex.
I like the boxy look but you know I'm not the only one thinking it, where is the V8 option
Being a Titan owner I agree but this has more horsepower and torque. Reliability? We'll see
I have a 2021 Titan… I think if they did the Titan like they did this, but keep the V8, it would definitely outsell the Tundra… imo

Way go nissan putting cool suv love it interior looks good in armada platinum
I have way more room behind the 3rd row in my Z71 Chevy Traverse.
Yes. But.not in Tahoe which is class competitor to Armada
Awesome 2025 Armada! Need to review the off road version, pro 4X.

If it was the V8 this would be top tier full size SUV, as well as the QX80. It's really a shame what has happened with EPA and Congress regulations.
There is no Congress it’s all the EPA and all the manufacturers, including Nissan brag about supporting all of these immoral horrific mandates
I know. Breathing clean air for your kids is a shame right

This will replace the new fake Land cruiser. Great choice Nissan
Ill buy it. Its made in Japan!
The taillights is a copy of the Tahoe

Too much tech for me, but it’s solid
Looks like those third row headrests would hit you in the back even when extended.
full size, made in Japan.....
Sounds like you have been smoking some of the good stuff with that title.
Beautiful tech from Nissan, too bad Honda had to buy Nissan!
I would like to get your opinion on the Pro 4x trim if you can get your hands on one of those
What’s that light on the steering wheel?
Was that a dash cam in the new Nissan armada
Look great
Pro 4X for me.

There are plenty of smaller SUVs. But some of us want or need a full-sized SUV. If you need a full-sized SUV, this Armada is very competitive.
"Looks like a giant ford flex".... that's not exactly a compliment
I don't see the resemblance but the Ford Flex isn't bad looking by any measure.
Chevy tahoe about to get the memo
This was painful to watch. How did you get hung up in 4 high?
W8ing for 2025 Jeep Grand Wagoneer changes and review
That truck can’t sit at the same table as a Tahoe 😂

Garbage transmission. If it's damaged, you have to replace the entire transmission.

it's made by ZF from what I've read - excellent transmission company.
copied equinox activ interior and the exterior is about as ugly as possible.
