+Chardwadulyn James looking at the stair steps if you go up the stairs you divide by 1000 each step you take. for example 2750mg / 1000=2.75g /1000 =0.00275 kg. i hope this helps!
This is great ! You should really make more videos on some math problems. The way you explain math equations will help many of us pass the certification exam.
I am in pharmacology hybrid for medical assisting. Although this may seem easy, i have been really struggling with understanding how some of the answers are achieved example:g to mcg. This method is NOTHING like what our teacher has shown, and is completely amazing! this made everything simple to understand! i was able to get 100 on my 20 question homework assignment! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this information!!!!! now i believe my test grade will be much better!!!
Hi, Maile I just saw you video and I really liked I was looking for more but I don't find any more, can you please make some more I really really understand your method of teaching, Thank you so much. PLEASE MORE MORE VIDEOS PLEASE 👍🏼
OMG! Thank you so much! My instructor went over this in class tonight and I was completely lost with a test coming tomorrow. You have helped clarify it so much! You are a life saver!!!❤
I JUST WANT TO THANK YOU MALIE I AM TAKING THE PTCB ON MAY 2 . 2016 AND I HAD MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THE MATH OH MAN AFTER WATCHING formular i have no doubt that i am going to pass the exam thanks i will let you know
Thank you so much! I am finishing Medical Assistant and finally Radiography. I thought I could get by when I took Pharmachology but it hit me again in Radiography! So, I had to buckle down and GET it! LOL and thanks to YOU, I GET it! Great "step" analogy. That stuck with me better. YOU are the BESTEST!
Just found this video....I am in NP school and you have solved my problems with conversions! Thank you so much for making my life easier. Awesome video!
Maile, thank you so much your step method is perfect, it will be the first thing I write down when I take my PTCB test wish me luck, you're an awesome instructor.
Thank you soooooo much. I just started my final year in LPN and we're going over Pharmacology calculations and I'm dying here. The way my instructors are teaching me is by power point and handouts...its just...well they're not really teaching at all actually and the vibe they give off is that they don't want to teach us. Seeing this vid helped me so much and now I'm correcting all my work.
Wow, thank you so much, my professor did explain, but some of us couldn't get it, and you made it so easy, thank you, now i can do my math as easy as pie yay, hugs...
This was extremely helpful! Its not always easy trying to learn math out of a text book. Im taking an online pharmacy tech class and seeing someone work out a problem is a big help thanks so much!
I am over 50 and started studying this, but is hard for me, i forgot all this I learned at school, but I don't want to give up. please please please make more videos, this is very helpful, thank you very much Maile God Bless you.
Hi Maile, I'm a visual person. I truly love your method. I always get lost with short cuts when doing math. Do you have or known where I could find a conversation practice test with a answer sheet. I'm currently studying for the PTCB. Thank you
EUREKA, I luvvvvvvv u girrrrrrl!!!! i couldn't understand why i couldnt remember the steps but u made it so easy peasy to understand in 5 min. Thank u so much for the helpful tips. I just SUBSCRIBED your teaching methods make sense to the left handed community lol🤣🤣🤣
Abso-fucking-beautifully explained and this video made my day :) Watched a couple of other videos and they scared the shite of me, but Mailes explanation and simplicity is amazing 👌🏽
Thank You So much 4 mins into this video and it makes so much sense to me now. This is Simple conversion. Im glas there are people like you around. The staircase is brilliant so tell your hubby you are not the only person and there are a lot of us. (I'm a visual/physical learner as well). I dont believe everything I hear... I will believe everything I see!
Thank you for doing this because I am brand new out of school as well. I am going to be studying for PTCB and want to be a great pharmacy tech even if I have to study this math every day for several months to feel extremely confident.
hey this little neat method is really easy to remember and I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and tips with us beginners. Thank you and please keep them coming!!! you rock!!!
I really love your video and in the way you explain everything. But is your only video :( Do you have another channel, with calculation for pharmacy tech.
Thank you so much for taking the time to make this very useful video. Do you have anymore videos that cover other conversions for LPN/RN calculations? Please inbox me if you do I would love to watch them all. Thanks again!!!
Yes from what I know most accredited Community Colleges do offer these certs, but from what I have experience from hearing other students that go to FOR-Profit schools that are usually promoted on TV/radio like a technical school don't. That is a crazy grey area I'll have to post about.
I'm only in my 4th or 5th week of class, I can do conversion problems like the ones you are doing here, or simple conversions, word problems etc. But what I'm stuck on (so far haha) is the concentration percentages w/w, v/v, and w/v. Where I'm having difficulty is knowing how to set up the problem. Here is one I'm working on right now: If 250ml of a 1:750 (v/v) solution is diluted to 1000 ml, what is the ratho strength of the final product. thanks, Dina
When you obtain your PTCB certification be sure to get a compounding cert as well as an Aseptic cert. I notice many technical schools don't add those certs as part of their curriculum and end up charging students lots of money just basic experience. You will want to be more versatile to gain experience in various pharmaceutical fields.
im going to school for pharmacy technician im nervous because of the math could you do videos on milliters coversions and cc please it would be appreciated i maybe starting an internship soon thanks
Hi, I'm sorry for the late response. I would say just remember that 1 fl. oz is always 30mL. Line up the this measurement then cross multiply and divide. You can give a demo question an I make a video for it. Thanks for watching!
This technique helped me also to pass my PTCB exam. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
