Hi, I just want to say thank for really breaking down the math formulas. You actually make them better to understand and I just started Pharmacy Tech 2 months ago and I'm having trouble understanding the math problems even when I read how to do it.
I have watched several of your videos and plan to watch more. I am taking my final exam on Monday for my Pharmacy Tech class and will follow that with the PTCB National Cert. I am struggling with the math and your videos seem to put it on a level I can grasp. So thank you!
Look for rx warehouse fulfillment center/ Walgreens fulfillment center. If u in the east coast look for GRANE RX. Once u apply for State provision u got 18 months to work in pharmacy to get yo LICENSE with 4 trys. It's $150 every time u fail. U can take it as much as u like. But u only get PTCB provision ONE TIME.
Great video , thanks, I am currently a first year undergraduate pharmacist student and this was so helpful as I have a noncalculator exam coming up after the holidays , thanks so much for your videos
Thank you so much for your lessons. I am studying so hard to pass the test, and you are the only one that is teaching what is on the test. Thank you thank you thank you
There is so much work to do. I am stuck on this problem: a physician orders cimetidine 300 mg in D-5-W; total volume is 75 mL to run for 1 1/2 hours. With use of a drop factor of 40 drops/mL, what is the flow rate for these fluids? Ho many milligrams of cimetidine will the patient receive in 20 minutes? How many milliters per hour should the patient receive?
omg i love you so much you are such a big HELP wish i can meet you in person and get a better grasp of your lessons that you are giving the world. i feel you'd be a drastic help for me and my future.
Heres one for you I can't solve. A physician perscribed an antibiotic to be mixed in white petrolatum to produce a 25% antibiotic preparation. The physician later changed his protocol to be only 12.5%. How much white petrolatum must be mixed with each 6 ounce ointment container of 25% preparation to make the new 12.5% preparation? Calculate your answer in grams
This is the first time looking into any of this and I knew 2.5 as soon as u laid out the equation. 200mg/5ml = 100mg/xml. 100 mg is half of the weight. Clearly we are looking for half of the volume because we have half of the weight. Half of 5 is 2.5.
She showed how to take it apart and solve, in a real pharmacy it wouldn't be that easy for you to just say oh 5, it's 2.5 ml! You have to know how the math or algebra!

Hi I’m currently studying to pass my ptu (test required by my pharmacy work place) I am having trouble with my math. I have been studying off books and some practice questions that I have ran into from the work books. I don’t understand how they got the answer they did. For example: if 100 grams of dextrose is ordered using a 50% dextrose solution how many ml are needed? The answer is 200 ml but I don’t understand how they got 200ml from. (Seen it from answer key) I hope you can help understand these type of math questions! I feel so lost :,(
im just browsing these vids because I am honestly terrible at math, when I read that fractions were involved I always struggled with fractions and hated them, preferring something like decimals. But proportions and balancing equations etc I LOVE to do! But, I still feel mathematically retarded when it comes to other things lol. I find myself needing to ask a lot of questions to better understand and this is something I'm afraid of in college because I feel I need to be more independent and rely more on myself than the professor to basically "hold my hand" like in high school where I could just freely come in and consistently ask questions to gain a better understanding and feel more confident about myself.
Can some one show me how to do the problem I posted. In my book. it is under concentrations and volume of solutions. I don't know how to get the answer 180 g. plz show me.

Diana, my pleasure, I'm glad to see it's helping you. Thank you for your kind words and support of the channel.
I am taking my PTCB next month and I'm not confident in the calculations at all.....the way you explain them has helped me so much! Thank you ❤
hey me too wtf

I've been studying really hard to pass the test especially the math and memorizing the drugs. Thank you for your help.

Hello O'neisha, I just want to confirm no matter what we are trying to solve ex. w/w, w/v and v/v do we always have to cross multiply? Thank you.
Thank you so much for your lessons. I am studying so hard to pass the test, and you are the only one that is teaching what is on the test. Thank you thank you thank you
My pleasure, thanks for checking out the channel!
Thank you so much for your sharing math of pharmacy

33 drops per minute. At 40drops per min you have a total of 40 x 75= 3000 drops. Spread it over 1.5hrs/90 mins . it gives you 3000÷90 = 33.33333

200mg/5ml = 100mg/xml
5ml x 100mg =
200x x
500=200 (do we divide)?
X=2.5
Very helpful thanks!
Certified June 2020 ❤️❤️❤️ thanks guys
Do you have any videos that show insulin problems ?
Thanks very. Much for vedeos

She needed that calculator
I'm curious to how many questions are on the test.
And thank you for all you vedios.
When they say 1:400 ratio, why is it automatically 1g:400ml not 1 unit to 400 units? Thank you for this helpful video though!
you explain really good!
Thank you Grant
