WOW...Absolutely loved your method of teaching. I am a visual learner, not many people truly understand the issues that come with visual learner. We process information in 3 stages: we hear it, now we have to repeat it to our selves so we can visualize to what we can refer to, so we can truly understand it. Example, what normally would take a person to read and get it, it would take us double the time. I have a masters degree in Forensic Psychology so it is not to say I or others like me won't succeed, but teachers like you makes it so much easier. THANK YOU
Thank you so much for the kind words! To aid in learning a little more I am making a website with written explanations and practice questions to aid in learning. I am glad I could help!
I’ve been watching a few people doing these calculations and let me tell you, my brain exploded a few times. This was the easiest explanation I have seen. Thank you sir🙏🏼
Im actually crying because you made this so much easier thank you ! If everyone was this nice explaining things I would not have anxiety i swear. If you have time will you do this again but more complicated problems ?
I can’t believe what you just did. You are blessed to teach. Never have something been so easy to understand for me concerning no’s calculations. If. I had you when I was studying my life would have been so easier. You truly have a God given talent to teach. Thank you so much I’m definitely 💯 committed to your channel
You are a damn good teacher. I’m not a nursing student and I suck at math, but because of how you broke this down, I can confidently say that I can perform dosage calculations now. Even in the event of a potential unit conversion. Do 100 of these practice questions and you’ll be a pro! 👌🙏
THANK YOU! I am in term one of my nursing school and just started medication admin, and they kind of refuse to teach us or its very fast paced and I wasn't understanding. Found your video and now I know how to do it! This was well needed certainly during these times where students are taking the place of instructors!
OH MY GOD!!! I HAVE WATCHED JUST ABOUT ALL THE VIDEOS ON TH-cam ON CONVERSION. THIS VIDEO HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL. THANK YOU! SO MUCH FOR SIMPLE AND EASY👍 KEEP DOING A GREAT JOB
amazing...i am a very slow person with math..the way you explained the drug calculations was just amazing. please continue posting stuff related to nursing please
Preparing to take pharm tech classes online and I’m super nervous, especially the math part, but this method after watching ima few examples really made it easy. Please keep more pharm tech vids coming! I feel so much better now!
Thank you so much. Am doing lpn online now and am currently at dosage. My instructor makes me so unhappy bcuz I he doesn't break things down and am a visual learner so u know how that goes. Am not about to fail and this video explained everything I was lacking.
Great. Thanks a lot for perfect explaining. Yesterday I had calculation class on pharmacy assistant class and this math was really difficult and I was little frustrated. I started to watch the videos about Pharmacy math, those videos confused my brain more. Then I saw your video and it is an amazing video to understand Pharmacy math well. Thank you very much.
Thank you for this notation, "a volume is not a dose" it helped me to identify my calculations in giving respiratory medications which are in percentages.
Thank you so much I start lpn in September . This really is a big help. I never understood math but I like the way u teach. I get it now. I'm going to keep practicing.
Wow I just found your channel. I just finished pharm tech classes and I struggled with the math. The way our teacher taught us was so confusing if she just did it this way everyone would’ve been able to understand it!! Thank you for this. I’m refreshing to get my certification.
I've spent the past 2 days struggling with what I was learning in my Dosage Calc E-book by E.A Davis, The way they explain is so confusing. You really simplified this for me in a way I understand. Thank you so much !
I’m a new nurse THANK YOU MAN SHIT!! They had me stressed I was scared to overdose or under dose a patient now thanks to you I can happily practice calculations test properly and have the confidence to go into the work force thank you!
oh my gosh, thank you so much. this was a life saver? my instructor and the textbook provided made it soooo complicated. after watching this video i finally understand! thank you!!
I’m currently taking online pharmacy tech classes and this method just saved my life ! 💙 I literally haven’t understood the math till today ! Because of this method ! Your saving my life ! I’m a hands on learner but since it’s covid everything is online 🥺
Omg. This definitely works, it is super simple. Thank you, now I just need videos on weight-based calculations, infusion based calculation pretty much anything to do with med math for paramedics. I will search through your video list. Thanks again, I plan to share with my classmates.
I thank you so much. I’m in my senior year of highschool planning on going into nursing but I’ve never been good at school, ESPECIALLY math. I gave up on math in like 6th grade because English has always been my specialty. So dosage calc was intimidating. Before I started this video I was frustrated because I tried both Simple Nursing and Nurse Sarah and I was still confused. After this video I’m confident I’ll understand
@@aylenbjarnaberg5542 wow I think that’s what I have. I just don’t get math for nothing. I’ve ALWAYS struggled terribly in math and I’ve said to someone I think I have dyslexia but with math. I never knew there was an actual name for it.

As math being one of my weakest subjects i felt that i did great with in my response to my answers. But you sure were more helpful than some of my former professers. I just wanna thankyou again 👌♥
thanks your great my problem was that I was not paying attention to the concentration on hand. For example some say the dosage per ml only so you multiply by one ml, others say the dosage and give amount of concentration per ml. Thanks again it really cleared things up I really feel confident. God bless you.
can you please solve in detail some questions that are a little harder more complex .. similar to the ones that are on the real ptcb test.. thank you.. your method for solving the problems in the video are easy to do and understand..
Lord have mercy, I am so glad to have came across this video. Im in my 3rd week in pharm and this video has given me way more understanding!! Thank you so much 💓
Thank you so much for teaching me this formula, i was so intimidated when i was attempting to try out pharma calculations, but really, its a matter of substitution i.e., order dosage by the amount available then factoring in the vehicle equals the solutions. Thank you so much, sir.
question 2a had my head spinning. I kept trying to figure out how [0.4x5] could equal 125mg. I goofed. [0.4x5] equals 2 -- MILLILITERS that is. PHEW. Then I divided [125mg/5mL], to get the 25milliGRAMS. [2mLx25mG] does indeed equal 50mg [hope my duh moment stays here, and doesn't follow me to the test!]. Watching your video a second and third time REALLY helped me get it!!! THANK YOU SOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! My test is in three hours-wish me luck!
Well understood. My teacher did hers but was not clear to me, but with wat u did i got it all, very simple, tanks. How do I calculate it wen d medication carries 500mg and 0.4 ml on d pack

So true same here !! 🙌🏾
That is so true and well said. I learn the very same why and I always have to explain why I’m slower than everyone in class.
It’s no wonder I have to go over and over and OVER a certain sentence, to digest and fully grasp it! 😂
