The UFC should be ashamed of themselves for essentially trying to rig fights against fighters who don't make them enough money
The UFC tried to do that with DDP, yet again rushing him into a fight with Adesanya.
We all know omalley isn't a draw... idk why aljo took the fight hurt... meanwhile Jon jones can cancel ppvs and he a "goat"... khabib beat a house salesman for his title... aljo got done dirty when he did what they asked while others don't do anythin worth watchin like omalley
Meh, I dont think they feel shame. This is a business of Prize Fighters. I'm assuming they're pussies arnt hurting that much thay they feel shame lol. Imagine a Prize Fighter Business, that wants to book popular Champions over Champions that don't put asses in seats. Lol. It's almost like they WANTED the popular guy to win!! Woah!! 😂😂😂
Starting to feel more like Activism than Fight Commentary.
There is no real evidence UFC did this to give O'Malley an advantage because you missed out some important details.
-If you look back you will see UFC had only ONE main event worthy fight for Boston. There was no other main event worthy fight available,of course UFC tries to make happen the only fight they have .This was to save the Boston ppv and not to give a certain fighter an advantage(or at least this could be the reason as well)
-You didn't mention O'malley was injured too,he had a serious rib injury, here it is POSSIBLE UFC would have tried the same thing to convince him to fight(because this fight was the only hope to have a main event for Boston)as they did with Sterling(in the case it would have been necessary to convince Sean to take the fight).
-Your are acting like the fight Annauncement was a big suprise but keep in mind not the UFC made this fight(o.k maybe they set it up with bringing O'Malley in the Octagon)but the fighters agreed (after Sterling vs Cejudo still in the octagon)both to fight each other and Sterling was the one who said (in the Octagon after his fight) to O'Malley "i want to fight you in septembre" or something like that.He was the one who was willing to have a quick turnaround(o.k Boston was 3 weeks earlier but still)in the first place.
So it wasn't Sterling didn't agree to fight O,Malley and it wasn't Sterling didn't agree to have a quick turnaround and both fighters agreed in the octagon to fight each other so it wasn't the badest thing from the UFC to assume they could announce this fight after both fighters agreed to fight each other soon(of course it would have been better to talk with both fighters before)
I can't see we have 100 percent proof here UFC did this all to give Sean an advantage for his fight with Sterling.
You can't only pick some clips and jump to conclusion you have to consider all important details.
Bro this is not new watch dana s interaction with his fighters when the ufc was ramping up the issue with ortiz brothers and shyts dana s conversation on jones not wanting to fight etc about cyborg this is light jab bro

This is great journalism, Joey. Dana White loves treating the UFC like the WWE and then gaslighting us into believing that he is running a perfectly fair and legitimate sport. What was done to Aljo has probably been happening for decades.
Look up what they did to Mark Hunt. Hunt threatened to beat the s*^t out of dana on social media and he wasn't in the wrong.
Ufc really did Aljo dirty. This documentary wasn't needed for us fans to realise what they did to him.
Dana, Bruce Campbell and the rest of the UFC matchmakers give me bully vibes.
Come on, this ain't nothing new to the UFC, it dates back to the days when the Fertitta brothers ran things. Or you want a more recent example, look how the situation degenerated between the UFC brass and Francis back in 2021. Same tactics.
Karma for Oscar night. Y’all just thought that was never gonna go unpunished is hilarious

I can see why Ngannou represented himself. Who needs a manager taking 10% and not fighting for you?
Don’t strip jones for a year and a half and have aspinal defend an interim belt but put up an interim belt right after aljo defends wild favoritism
It also explains why they didn't give him the rematch
On a full camp it's very possible that Aljo could beat Sean but they can't give him that opportunity
Why are people surprised Dana and UFC value money above fairness?
Seems about normal to me.
It’s weird when people say this..just because it’s expected horrible behavior doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be pointed out.
@@beckyg.9087 I concur. If i understood correctly. Just not surprised in the slightest
What's funny is Aljo said this after the fight and everyone just laughed at him and said he was coping.
Thank you like omally didn't just rest from December-aug lol
This man went on a 3-4 fight win streak as the Bantamweight champ, defended against 3 former champions and didn’t get an immediate rematch against Sean. It’s all a popularity contest nowadays and business. They have ZERO integrity.
I blame his manager. Aljo should finish with him and get a manager that puts him first. You sign on the dotted line that's it, you gotta show up. His manager should've been like Aljo F it, don't take the fight, let them do there interim at least you can recover properly. That fight was coming either way.
There appears to be something of a closed shop. You go with a UFC approved manager or you don't get a contract. And what makes a manager UFC approved? Well... we just saw it. Then if you got a contract and managed to get a new manager (let's pretend), they probably will run your contract down on badly paid prelims and then see ya.
Tim Simpson is an interesting player, here. Leon, Max and Jiri's manager. Moved from a big agency to his own set up, with a deliberately small client list. He seems to do right by his fighters... be curious, if that is fully true, why he would be allowed. Though they were all in the UFC before he started his own management company.
Yes his manager should have advised him to not take the fight if he's injured. But Aljo signed on the bottom line too. Let them do their Interim Candy belts who cares
Go Joey, keep exposing them. One of the best mma channels.
It's par for the course in the world of deception/domination/winning, which anyone watching these fights is agreeing to. Nothing is really being exposed, except the incredulity of people like you because you're either in denial or you don't know the bigger picture at play with this stuff.
Complaining about deception and unfairness taking place on the world stage (such as big UFC events) is like complaining about the chameleon hiding from the insect, or complaining about the snake hiding in the grass.
The monster doesn't care that you complain about how it operates, as long as you still engage with it by participating in what it offers. In this case, o malley being used to push certain things onto a niche of the younger generation who otherwise wouldn't have been as directly exposed to it, in order to accelerate the agenda
Yeah Joey was 💯 speaking facts .
The way the UFC treats some of the fighter so different than others is shady
This is going to be a fucking heater

Bro, thank you for making this video. The mob style manipulation was so heavy-handed. Basically it was “it would be a shame if something were to happen to your UFC roster spot.“
When I said the UFC broke Jose Aldo Mentally for 6 straight months before the McGregor fight, everyone was calling me crazy. This shit is what they do when they don't want some fighters to be champions.
That's why I respect a lot fighters like Dricus, DJ or Woodley in his time, when they don't let themselves being forced into fights
Facts man this literally happens to everyone who doesn’t play by their rules it’s almost comical at this point. Fighter doesn’t play by their rules and incoming Dana says they are scared to fight narrative lol over and over again. Dana praises Jon Jones but remember how quick he turned on him when Jon didn’t want to take that quick replacement fight against Chael Sonnen when Dan Henderson was out of the bout. Even when Jon vs Ngannou was being talked about and Jon simply wanted to be paid fairly, Dana immediately went to the “he’s scared” narrative and then ironically did the same thing to Ngannou lol smh I miss Ngannou but I’m glad he left them the way he did. I’ll still never forget how bad Cris Cyborg was treated as well during her time in the UFC it was almost heartbreaking.
I remember seeing a clip of O’Malley saying that fighting every 4 months is how it should work for a champion to justify his short notice fight against Aljo only for him to fight 2 times a year as champ and one of those times was against a cherry picked opponent we’d all knew he’d beat.
MMA media could be replaced with middle schoolers.
Why not make O’Malley fight Merab on a quick turnaround then? They are giving Sean every opportunity to recover and prepare for Merab. It is blatant at this point the UFC has their agenda and who they want to be their “superstars”. They are chasing another mcgregor so bad they are tainting the sport.
That manager is Tiki Ghosn. He actually has a pretty decent track record as a manager among happy clients. The fact that he's staring at the floor during this does not mean he doesn't care. I've been in business my entire life and when doing negotiations and someone else is talking, I tend to look at the floor and listen because it allows me to hear everything clearer and not be distracted, and it allows everyone else to have the floor and express both sides. Once everything is said and done and everyone has said their piece, I'd advise my clients in private and see what they'd like to do before I begin negotiating for someone and fighting a battle that they may not want to be fought. We don't know the entire situation here so we can't make such blatant, unfair assumptions. Some meetings are about manager negotiations and some meetings are not. No contracts had to be signed on the spot in that meeting, and typically there's a lot of talking and mulling things over before they send you a contract. I don't disagree with the gaslighting or methods used to coerce fighters into taking fights at a disadvantage, but it would be unfair to sling mud in the direction of someone undeserving without all of the facts and information. Aljo has never come out and said that his manager wronged him. His gripe is only with the ufc.

Ufc is an entertainment business masquerading as a serious sport. And they alternate between the two depending on whats more convenient at the moment. Thats where all of this bs stems from. Fans expect meritocracy, ufc wants to make the most amount of money. So they make all these moves like bmf belts, giving their favorite fighters huge jumps up the rankings etc and just spin it during press conferences talking to their lap dog journalists. Dana has contradicted himself more times than I can count. It is what it is I guess, but frankly after 6+ years of watching every ufc event I am now becoming less and less invested.
Not to mention horrific judging and refing mistakes, that somehow often seem to benefit the ufc.

I think Joey actually cried when aljo lost and was the real life meme of the woman crying and pointing at the cat 😂
There is something that the ufc doesn't like about Aljo and I don't know what it is. Omalley eye pokes and kicks Pedro's minos balls and gets a no contest and immediately gets a contender fight against Yan. Loses and they rob Yan and give it to Sean and just immediately decide Sean gets a title shot. Coming off of CAUSING a no contest, and a robbery of a win. Clear favoritism. Sean has defended the belt once since he got it. Aljo defended the belt 3 times by now.

You're not wrong, but I have little sympathy for Aljo for two reasons:
1) Three months isn't a totally unreasonable turnaround, it's not as though they asked him to fight two weeks later. One month to rest and heal, two months to train. If that's not enough time to make weight then you're either not living the lifestyle of a professional athlete or you're in the wrong weight class.
2) He didn't deserve to become champion in the first place. And what was the first thing he did after being gifted the belt? Take a year off to get surgery, further holding up the division. If he's not in the UFC's good books it's not hard to see why.
He def deserved champ status. He beat yam in a rematch. The real question is how tf did Sean get the win over yan!!!
To answer the question above^ damage. Yan was split open and beat up. Sean won 2 rounds by damage. If he didn't split him open he would have lost 2 1 but he won 2 1 bc of damage
@@sarka11594 idk…I felt the takedowns and ground control was enough to edge it out.
Dnn86 your not taking into consideration a champ who has to cut a lot a weight and go through a grueling training camp.. and mind u he has to spend that 1st month to heal and recover. So he not even training for omalley style.. that's a complete disadvantage.. the mental drain on a fighter through a regular training camp is tough imagine having to do that back to back.. every fighter talks about how weight cutting sucks... You saying u have little sympathy is disrespectful.... They set aljo up because they wanted Yan champ.. he beat him in the rematch fair. And let's be honest that 2nd Rd was a 10-8.. mind u omally fought Yan in December and got to prepare for aljo all the way until August
After he fought a one armed TJ and took no damage they tried to get him to fight Henry in March and then April before finally May. He ended up with 15 weeks for Sean but that was extra time he lost they weren't going to miss an opportunity to have an Irish last name headline Boston.
Thank you MMA JOEY for revealing this type coersment and favoritism that goes on in these back room deals. I’ve always suspected that this was going on but had no proof.
Dana gave Woodley the same treatment. Despite Woodley continuously winning fights, his aggression towards Woodley grew. And when Woodley said something about it, nobody believed him and called him a crybaby.
Casuals and fanboys always call anything that these athletes say is a "cope", it's spoken like a true geek who has never done anything athletic in their life. They call injuries cope, family deaths cope, being coerced by the ufc a cope. Not every thing is an excuse of "cOpE" and that is what these keyboard warrior nerds need to get thru their numbskulls
Started popping up on my feed, now I'm subbed good content bro
You’ve come a long way burn your videos are good
Great video Joey👍
Great video Joey...best on the net for mma discussion...hands down
When I first started the video, I thought your mouth had a bowtie.
Looks like Aljo needs a new manager
Where can I watch this documentary?
It’s on Roku TV. I linked it in the description
Like the new camera angle set up🔥👊💯
Same org that is making Aspinall defend an interim belt to protect Jon Jones lmao. mma is sick but ufc is a joke sometimes.
Good reporting Joey!
If Aljo came out and flatlined O’Malley he damn sure would have ingratiated himself with the MMA community and silenced a lot of his critics.

Shows you how strong khabib was in his conviction. These people mustve tried their absolute best to try to get him to fight conor, and he still said F your money.
Fact is, people with the belt have a habit of taking layoffs, swerving guys, etc. so the ufc has to apply some pressure to keep the devisions moving. 2) 3 months is a perfectly legitimate time frame between fights. Youre acting like they put a gun to his head and forced him to fight in a week. 3) im sure he was adequately paid to take that fight. End of the day the UFC is a business- of course its going to have wants and needs. So long as everyones adequately compensated, they can make virtually anything they want, happen. 4) a longer layoff doesn't play to Seans favor. Active fighters do better. So that whole point there falls apart. Not to even mention that training camps are grueling and typically last about 3 months at the high end, regardless of how long a certain fighters layoff is. Assuming seans been not only in camp, but also specifically actively training for aljo for some 8 straight months is wildly uneducated.
Youre acting like they held him at gunpoint and forced him into the cage with a broken leg and 0 pay lol. Sorry but this video was pretty diabolical. Respecfully.
