  • 2 part series. Here in part one I experiment with wet sanding with average at best results. See part two using non-acetone fingernail polish remover if you want perfectly clear windows. That is absolutely the best be method IMO. I think I'll start to use this method for my crawlers and bashers alike. In either case, I'm just not a fan of stickered windows. Particuarly on crawlers where it's fun to put in interiors.
    Products Used:
    - Fine sandpaper 600 grit
    - rubbing compound (I'm not particular to any one brand)
    - Automotive polish (I'm not particular to any one brand)
Got the idea from hemistorm's youtube channel. He knows his stuff. You can check the video where I got the idea here.

    01/30/19 Update:
Got this idea from a buddy. But spraying WD40 and then scraping off with a plastic card (or something to that equivalent) is the best way to get the sticker glue residue off plastic. A very easy fix.

Thanks. Be sure to watch part 2 with the non-acetone fingernail polish remover. That's by far my preferred method. :)

Just use the thinner and W40 is more easy to do

This is the HARD way to do it. just use Nitro fuel to get rid of the paint... Or even graffiti remover. For a much nicer result and finish.

You have to be noob to do that. The idea is to remove the paint and leave the transparent lexan there? Well, for that, sandpaper is not used. You have to use a cane with the tip of cotton and give it with nitro of gasoline car or brake fluid.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm just going off of hemistorm's video of which if I can get my windows to look as good as his do, I'll be happy. And if not, meh this crawler is kinda an experiment for me anyways. Can always order another body if I don't like it. Nonetheless, I'll research your suggestion. Thanks.

M.O.H You are indeed wrong, sanding is the best method to keep the plastic from becoming brittle from using chemicals such as nitro fuel
