Wikipedia says the meanings of a few hundred words of Etruscan are known, but a lot remains to be figured out.
According to wikipedia, the Emperor Claudius was the last Roman who could read Etruscan.
I'm sure most of the class was dozing off as he drones on and on.
The fact that you're a dunce doesn't mean everybody else is.
