@@Viktor_G_Automotive yeah, I am in PA far from you :( anyway - thanks for your time and all these informative videos. I will be replacing spark plugs on my 2021 NX300 tomorrow.
Hey I found the video to be informative and helpful. I have a 4x4 2017 tacoma. As you mentioned all the 2GR engines will have the heater hole on the same side. I'm assuming the process is the same except I'd need to remove the cover and work around the transfer case?
Hi, the video applies to transverse mounted 2GR engines (engine mounted side to side in the engine bay). The 2GR models that are longitudinal mounted (front to back) have the block heater installed in a different location - from the rear corner on the driver side near the transmission.
@@kovalenkoihor4325 yes, absolutely. All RX350 models sold here in Canada are AWD, and that’s how we install the block heater. Exactly the same as the video, but harder to see the hole since the transfer case is in the way.
@@Viktor_G_Automotive Thank you. I have Sienna 2gen AWD with 3.5 and block heater was there from years now. I never used it, previous original owner never used it... And now The plan is to remove the heater and check if it works without being connected or by any means touching the car. Can be cable corroded, can be the heater itself. If the heater itself works, will just replace the cable and install it back
@@kovalenkoihor4325 it appears that Toyota stopped selling the OEM block heater due to an ongoing recall, they may release a new part number in the future, but for now you will have to go with an aftermarket one.
@@a10zablue no need, since heater doesn't contact the fluid directly. This thing works in a following way. On one wall of the engine, there is a hole, which is not through the engine. You insert that heater there. Heater heats metalic engine wall and the wall heats coolant fluid. Not that effective, but engine kind of doesn't care, if this thing is corroded or broken or not completely sealed, which is good.
Love it. Right to the point. Great vid man
Thank you :)
yes, start doing IS350/500 videos. Thank you
Unfortunately, I don’t have access to one of those right now. If you are in Calgary area, we could figure something out.

ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਵਿਕਟਰ
Thank you Viktor for video it helped me saving installation fee $250.00 from Toyota dealership. Worked well for 2015 Sienna
Glad to hear it save you some money!
I’m glad your back.
Thank you so much!

Nice Installation Viktor !👍
Thanks! 👍
How to change torque converter on a Rx 350
Gotta drop the transmission to do that. What’s wrong with the TC?
For the models with AWD, is it still possible to change/remove/install block heater from underneath?

Hi, will this process also work in 2022 highlander le awd?
If it has a 3.5L V6, yes.
thanks!
No problem!
what block heater did you use?
OEM Toyota one.
@@Viktor_G_Automotive Do you have any part number? Seems like I can't find anything by "block heater"
