@@jeremycuddy2778 Think about every official TCG digital game ever made. Pokemon Online, Magic Arena, Hearthstone, Legends of Runeterra, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links, Cardfight!! Vanguard Zero, Shadowverse. All of them have you buy booster packs to collect cards. I don't think there's a single card game video game that gives you all the cards for free. Hell, even the old Yu-Gi-Oh video games had you collecting cards. For card games, collecting the cards is just part of the game, and it's easily monetizable. I'll tell you, it's absolutely not "more bang for their buck" to only monetize sleeves and other customization options. In Japan, the biggest and easiest way to make money in the anime/video game industry is to make a mobile game out of their property called a Gacha game. In these games, you collect or buy (with real money) currency used to roll a "Gacha" system in order for you to have a chance at getting a character you want. (The rarest ones having upwards of 0.02% of appearing. This is the rate listed on the games themselves, as required by law. I know from experience.) It's borderline gambling, and it makes them millions. I myself have spent over $2,000 USD on a Gacha game called Fate/Grand Order. $1,200 of that was used JUST for rolling one copy of one character. Furthermore, these games will incentivise rolling for multiple copies of a character or item, such as making them stronger or whatnot. America has caught onto this as well and begun implementing loot boxes instead of allowing people to outright buy items and characters. Point is, the Gacha game market is oversaturated, but still makes them tons of money. There is no universe where Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel won't also monetize card packs.
Custom card sleeves and some really beautiful overlay sleeves like those ones that came in the Egyptian god boxes in Japan.. EXCEPT ANIMATED. Custom avatars, custom special effects or rarities that you pay for with each individual card. Subscription model (modestly priced) + aesthetics seems fair.
I know it’s going to be monetized, but I hope they do the Legends of Runeterra model. It lets you buy whatever cards you want and there’s no randomness to it like Hearthstone.
Runeterra's monetization is insanely generous. Most of the money is on cosmetics. You can free to play and get literally every card in the game easily.

I think they should have an open card pool, but let you choose to buy cosmetic stuff like making certain cards holo, and change your field ect, also having a battle pass or subscription on top, I would be happy with. having packs would wreck the simulation aspect for a lot of people, even having a price on the game itself is better than packs tbh
That would be awesome but just people buying cosmetics won’t be able to pay the servers. Though they could restrict people to like 5-15 free decks and getting more deck space could be more money. Plus more subscriptions and cosmetics
@@dannyguitardrums me too. System they applied on duel links is good. If you want more gems play games but if you are inpatient just buy gems for real money. System with all free cards in free to play game is unreal.
@@deusvult8808 *legends of runeterra exists* lol it may have ways to buy cards but they put them at a steep price to encourage their very fast progression to earn cards, most of their monetization relies on skins which is the same with league of legends where most of their monetization is literally only skins
That’s why I say online provided better players. Somebody might not be able to shell out hundreds of dollars for a play set of forbidden droplets or triple tactical talents in their deck. Like having access to more espensive cards limits people also not everyone wants to travel and spend money for a ycs. Like if new cards come out before a ycs the person who didn’t get their cards shipped in time will be at a disadvantage to the person who does. But if you give everyone access to the same carpool it’s clear that the best player will win not who can buy the best cards like if you have a player and take all the $100+ cards out of their deck and give them to someone else with the same deck but who had lesser versions and replace them I don’t doubt the player with the play set of $ 300/400 cards will win unless they don’t know how to play the game at all.
The possibility to enter Codes from the Cards themselves was present in the old GBA Games. You had to enter the Numbers from the bottom left Corner of the original Card, to get one Version of the Card in the Games. The way I wish Konami will handle it is, that they sell the Game normally like Legacy of the Duelist and put in a Reward-System to buy Packs In-Game, instead of using Micro-Transactions.

Honestly, I think we can thank Duel Links for this. After the failure that was Yu-Gi-Oh Online, I'm sure Konami wanted nothing to do with another similar game, but Duel Links made it clear that if they did it right, they could actually succeed.
I hope we get to make custom games with custom rules in matchmaking... like disabling certain types of summons, just wanna be able to play like the old days with the new cards, but instead im always fighting synco/xyx monsters that's cant be destroyed by battled and/or card effects and every turn drags out forever as my opponents shuffle half there deck, to there hand and on the field and then i the grave yard and back to there hand and then in the grave yard and back on the field and now there 2 monsters with 2500+ atk and some powerful effects on the field and its turn 3

Dueling book fan here as well. Dkayed from Duel Links mentioned that if Konami takes this new dueling simulator serious and they’re willing to invest a lot of time, money, and effort they will probably start to send legal notices to other simulators like Dueling book. Hopefully it doesn’t shut down due to legality.
Honestly, I’m just excited. I’ve never been able to duel anyone irl nor any full field YuGiOh games, unless you count the old one they released in the early 2000s
Hey Paul just wanted to say thank you for making all this discussions even if this has less views than other Team APS videos. it shows that you really like this videos and dont do it just for more money.
What I'm more excited about Master Duels is the community tournaments because the biggest Duel Links community (DLM) announced full support for Master Duels, meaning that they will host highly competitive tournaments with players from all around the world, with cash prize every week and month. The cash prize for the monthly tournaments can reach $2k and the weekly tournaments are usually $300-$400. And these tournaments will be streamed on Twitch (Duel Links Meta)
Ngl. Master Duel sounds like it has potential. Loved how you mention the game becoming an "E-Sport" cause ya know what.. Yugioh needs to get with the times. More like Konami. But still. They need to be willing to take that extra step forward and really expand on this game overall. So I'm glad this seems to be the direction they're headed
What would also be cool is if cross duel is a format for battle royal and tag duels were teammates have separate fields that means they may also develop relay duels or perhaps make the turbo and action duel mechanics possible in an official format
As far as the code they put on the physical cards, I thought that was what they used to do back in the Tag Force days. But I don't think it's a bad idea.
Man, if master duel is either a subscription for all cards or only cosmetic microtransactions that would be amazing. Just because yugioh is an older game players have spent years building their collections, i really hope we don't have to start from scratch and spend real money on a ton of packs just to build something playable. Im a little worried just because i really want this game to be good but im also very excited to see where it goes!
I think I would mess with a Subscription or just an outright one time purchase, but if they decide to do some pack grinding element, it has to be generous enough otherwise this will be a pass for me playing a lot of this. If it's a grind to get cards it won't make it very friendly for casual play which is what I love more so while I'd use it if I wanted to play some high level play with a high level deck or two that I have it won't give it longevity for me until I want to dive back into serious play which is fairly rare these days. Definitely hope it's cool and worth it, but I'll be watching it closely before it proves that it's valuable to me.
I believe there is a reason he said beginners should play duel links. If me, a person who has no Yu-Gi-Oh cards plays you a person like you who has a bunch I would be at a huge disadvantage. In theory I would never be able to catch up to you.
The problem is not doesn't have all cards The problem is buy cards with money Maybe in casual duels all cards will be unlocked but in ranked and tournament can be only used cards you get in game (quests and events) for free
The fact that Masters will be on all platforms I think is game changing and could separate Yu-Gi-Oh from pokemon and MTG. Also transferring physical cards to digital isn't necessarily impossible. There was a game for the GBA where you could put in the code on the bottom right of the card and get it in the game. Granted I haven't played paper Yu-Gi-Oh since mid 2000s so idk if they still print it on newer cards.
Literally my favorite channel on the platform. I'm a casualist just like you guys and you guys have made me realize yugioh can still be very fun if you're meeting the right people. :)
I like it being online. I feel that will increase the caliber of duelist .Like you may not be able to afford that play set of physical lightning storms but online you’ll probably have more access to cards, no cost for travel or staying somewhere for a regional.
I think what they should do is that you can choose a deck from some free decks which are not really that good and then to get better can have things you can buy.
I have been "retired" from Yugioh essentially since graduating high school in 2006. My final game was on the last day of school in woodshop class LOL. But I want IN on this.
It's worth noting that mtg, despite Arena being the new and shiny way to play Magic, an older client that is not only outdated but *costs money* still sees use because you can play older formats on it, and I believe the same will be true for other YuGiOh sims.
Why is nobody bringing up the extremely similar look and play style to the online magic the gathering game? I think a lot of our questions could have some good hints on how they run that monetization system over there. You can buy packs and you can grind for points to spend on packs. And in that game also as you open packs you get wild cards. The wild cards can be used as a substitute card to trade in for any card in the game of the same value rarity. IDK how they would work that into Yu-Gi-Oh because of the different rarities for the same cards but it could be an interesting mechanic if they do it
I’d pay 60 for the game systems. It’s not confirmed it’s cross play (even though it’s looking that way). If it’s not a cross play from system to mobile, then it could be different. We don’t know a whole lot. It just shouldn’t be where you need to pay for yhe cards in game. I like the pay for the game up front and then do the grind like link evolution.
Nothing beats physical play.when i got back in to yugioh i started with the legacy of the duelists just to avoid buying cards.2 days later i ordered a booster set from amazon and went to target to buy some packs until the set arrived. Long story short i really doubt it would go away.we all have spent alot of money to build/play our favorite cards and getting rid of physical tournaments wouldnt make sense imo.
@@ta3525 true I agree but the difference imo is Pokémon is more of a collectors tcg vs Yugioh being a more fun playable card game imo poke.on isn't very fun to play but the cards are nice and fun to collect
On the topic of monetizing, along with the mascots and sleeves, something they could do with cards that would be great is to have rarities in the game, like super rare, ultra, secret, ultimate etc. All the cards are available from the start with f2p, but also every card is at Common, and there's a paid system to upgrade your cards to higher rarities. You could choose to use lower rarities you already unlocked, up to the highest level you have purchased. Each rarity upgrade is purchased on a card name basis, e.g. upgrading Harpie Lady increases the max rarity for all your account's Harpie Lady(s), but does not change the rarities of any other cards, including those with effects that state their names are treated as "Harpie Lady", such as Cyber Harpie Lady and Harpie Lady [1/2/3].
Completely agree with your subscription model idea. I don’t have any hard data to support this, but I really believe this is the best way for Konami to consistently generate revenue while maintaining a high player base and positive reception. With Duel Links, you really don’t have to pay a cent to get a decent deck and have fun. Of course it’s a grind, but people are willing to do it in order to not pay. However, paying $5+ a month for a high quality OCG simulator that You can play against others online is well worth the money IMO
So listen I feel you on making the cards available to everyone it should be completely free to play but you should pay 599 or more for events like in Pokémon go where it’s free to play and collect but in order to participate in certain events like a YCS or something like that then yes you should pay to enter And in regards to scanning your collection of cards they already have a feature like that they are working on so I believe it to be pretty likely that you’ll be able to continue to purchase physical card game cards and have it uploaded especially with newer cars being able to have certain hidden images in them they are only detectable by camera
Maybe it'll be like MTG Arena and Hearthstone where they start you off with a couple different structure decks and by playing you can earn in game currency and buy packs that way.
@@symphonixblades If you think for one second that Konami isn't going to monetize this game to death, then you are delusional. Konami has stopped development on multiple huge game series just so that they can cheaply milk them for every cent they're worth with pachinko machines.
@@Evan_Schaefering if they want the game to be used at tournaments and popular best way to monetize is cosmetics only and the game does seem to have lots of cosmetics. LoR gets lots of money just with cosmetics and a battle pass that gives emotes and cosmetics so why can't Konami get lots of money the same way. It's the best way to increase player number and get lots of money
@@symphonixblades If that business model is the secret to huge success, why isn't Runeterra super popular? Why has it spent its entire existence as a distant second option, both in player count and in profits, to Hearthstone? That is why Runeterra is cheap. They are competing against Hearthstone, which is something Yu-Gi-Oh really doesn't do. Konami has no reason to believe that Master Duel needs to be fairly monetized to succeed. Just the opposite in fact. Duel Links is, incredibly popular, used at tournaments, and makes a ton of money all while being heavily monetized. Why bother making Master Duel's cards free with paid cosmetics, when people will buy both the cards and cosmetics?
Tbh i am gonna say the idea to have it as a subscribtion service would be really nice to have all cards from the get go. Especially for the aspekt that is basiclly all platforms with most likely constant updates it isnt the worst thing. EVEN if it is dead it woulf be nice if the would really nice if the bring back Tag Duels.
I really like the idea of physical product giving extra bonuses in the digital game. I’d like seeing some relation between tcg and master duel. Plus it can incentivize online players to play more tcg and grow that community
It has been a VERY long time since I've played Yugioh, but I do remember Yugioh: the Sacred Cards on GBA let you put your own cards into the game using a code that was on the bottom of each card. I'm not sure if those codes are still on the bottom of the card, but I could see that being a way to do it. Unfortunately its not the most intuitive, but at least you would be able to put in your own collection into the game.
I predict this'll be subscription based with access to all cards. They can monetize other things you and others have mentioned as well. From sleeves, mascots, and possibly rarities.
I haven't Played Yugioh in years & I'm so excited that Yugioh is finally catching up to speed with Magic Arena, Hearthstone & my favorite card game Eternal. I would like to see Master Duel cater to both free to play & pay to win. Hopefully, players on Master Duel when dueling in ranked modes get rewarded when you win a duel(Something Eternal does when you win is get a chest & you are always rewarded with in-game currency & either a card or a pack). I would like to see fun events like only using cards from an era from Yugioh like battle city, drafts, using only monster cards, playing a pack draft where you open 10 packs of the lastest set while making a deck from those 10 packs & every week you get to open 2 more packs from different sets & get rewarded with even more packs based on how well you did in the leaderboards of that draft. So many ideas hopefully, we get to see more gameplay of Master Duel.

@@skillshottopher You're the one being weird here. I'm a Sony fan all the way but i'm just calling it how it is. For example, as a competitive fighting games player the only option i have if i wanna crossplay vs my pc friends is Street Fighter 5. NOTHING ELSE. Let that sink in ...
@@yagami999913 because you're playing fighting games. They aren't a huge demand on the video game market so why waste money on making crossplay a thing? Statement is even more apparent since you're using fighting games to support your logic.
I know some more casual players don’t love the model but I feel like if they did a similar monetization scheme as MTGArena :free to play with a “gem” currency and then a more earn as you go currency, both of which can be used to buy the same stuff (packs/draft entries). And then if you want the cool cosmetic stuff (pets, card styles, sleeves) you either play a bunch or pay up
There's a pretty good chance IMO that they go with the "Battle Pass" option. Allow full access to the card pool, but to participate in online duels you have to pay a subscription fee. Probably would include in-game purchases for those pets, sleeves, backgrounds, etc. Maybe you can pay to upgrade the rarity of cards.
I'd be happy with something like the duel links monotization system, I'd only hope they make more use of the coins An idea I had was Gems to buy specific sets of cards, and coins for the random pack openings, however then you run into a potential pay to win problem Alongside the mats, sleeves, pet system, I think the monotization would be fine
I got major MTG Arena vibes. I imagine their monetization would be similar to that. Pay for gems and use gems to access events, tournaments, special duels. Gems also pay for packs and whatnot. You also get a battle pass system for extra cosmetics, gems, packs, etc. I could see that working well for Master Duels
I'm not overly into yugioh(I stopped around gx) So i feel like having all the cards unlocked right away would be overwhelming. Maybe if they had a custom lobby that would let you have access to all the cards. I do like the thought of cracking packs especially since it looks like they have a rarity system in place. But if they do that it would also be cool to give the cards an actual value and be able to trade them away or sell it on a marketplace (like how csgo has all their weapon skins).
Loved the video but did you notice the cards showed different rarities? That to me signifies a pack system which would imply in game currency or if we start with a full card pool that is where they could charge players is for the cosmetic things like sleeves and card rarity. Just food for thought
I really hope rarity and cosmetics are the only thing they charge for. If I can have all the cards on the game even if they’re all common. I’ll be happy.
I think the best solution would be an optional subscription model like many free-to-play and buy-to-play mmo's got. So you like 15 bucks a month to get full access to all cards and maybe some cosmetic stuff here and there. So that people who wanna play Ranked Mode serious and wanna compete in the mentioned tournaments got all cards they need avaible to them. But.... I'm kinda scared its like duel links so you either buy digital packs or grind it out in long, boring AI duels. But only time will tell! Great Video as always, excited for more content on Master Duel, cheers :)
Too many of the "features" from the Master Duel game were just taken straight from Riot's Legends of Runeterra. I'm personally a bit worried and disappointed to see if there're even more similarities as it goes on and more info is revealed, but I’m hoping that it lends itself to be more unique instead
@@xxcagedriotxx I hope the timer is generous enough. It pissed me off every time I lost in Edo because I was trying to read the wall of text in my opponent's cards.
And yeah, while influencers will obviously get people to play, I think you're overestimating their ability to have this game completely overtake dueling sims that are entirely free, easily accessible, and update at a rate that is basically impossible for Konami to emulate.
@Toadaux MTG had at best stuff like Cockatrice prior to Arena, stuff that (while used) wasn't exactly mainstream or intiuitive to use. Whereas unofficial online sims have been a backbone of Yugioh play for a long time, they are engrained within how people play the game and won't just magically go away (especially since Master Duel is going to be monetized, and may be monetized incredibly poorly). And that's not even going into stuff like Rush Duels, Speed Duels, anime and manga cards, which have basically no chance of being supported in Master Duel compared to the sims we already have.
Honestly having more characters in theme fashion in duel links is a nice new addition to the game, even though I never played the legacy of the duelist and haven’t heard of master duel I think master duel is gonna be a good game
As far as the codes go, They used to have a feature in games that allowed you to add your cards by using the code at the bottom of the cards. If they don't make the cards free to obtain from the start, Maybe they will allow that in Master Duel as well. And for paying for the game, I wouldn't mind paying to get the game, and Microtransactions for Rarities of cards would be bomb as well.
I think a dedicated Wildcard system would be wise. You can buy dedicated structure decks, or you can grind for and buy wildcards. Stuff like spell (rare/common) or Synchro(ultra rare), given at random on a progress ladder and at 5-6/pack type stuff.
Sounds similar to Magic Arena, which I would hope Master Duel has a better economy than Arena. If it is the same system, I'd hope Konami would at least add in a dusting option so people can get out of one archetype and into another with some ease.
If anything I wish it would be similar to Link Evolution, where you get in-game currency for dueling as well as going through a campaign mode. Although, that seems rather unlikely.
They can have free model which you get a just a starter deck or a paid model where you get probably 2+ structure deck plus extra stuff. I can also seem them adding rush duels format down the side line
I hope it's kinda like how Duel Generation had it, where you had packs that cost DP and you could buy full on structure decks and more focused packs with real money, but also like Duel Links where you can use the in game currency or real money to do that stuff. I just don't want to have to wait a month to be able to open a few packs at a time (broke a$$ mofo that relies on social security for personal finances and am not fully prepared to go out to the real world). Just have it where things cost a bit of real world money, similarly priced to IRL packs and decks, but also have it be like LOTD where it costs like 400 DP or whatever for packs and 1200 DP for decks. Plus this game will be good to introduce newer players. Also, I personally hope it has a campaign mode of some sort, like have it be a "Dimension wide Duel Tournament" where you face duelists from the show and manga who occasionally use different decks. Like Atem could at one moment have an Exodia deck to a Dark Magician deck to an Egyptian God deck. Something like that, I don't know. This game will be really good for both newer and older players as long as the in game functions advocate for both.
I think it would be cool if you could maybe transfer your cards from Duel Links to Mater Duel that way you can your favorite cards from the beginning or maybe like Paul said you can pick your favorite cards but you’re limited to 40 cards & can only pick from a certain archetype
Loving the channel I'm a classic player thinking of getting back in this confusing game. I recently bought LOD:Link Evolution waiting for Master Duel love your shirt.
I hope it goes similar to pokemon TCG online. I love the different formats to play online. Hopefully be able to get the cards similarly too. Via physical card packs and in game. Hopefully get a true legacy formats
I think they should use the code system for cards like the used to do on the older games, so you could import your physical collection cause they still put codes on cards.
I imagine a subscription based service, or maybe cosmetics that can only be unlocked via micro transactions (mascots, sleeves, duel mats etc). I definitely don't see them monetizing the cards themselves. Imo, the game would fail if they did it that way. Optimally, it'd just be a sexier Duelingbook.
Depending on the monetisation type, if they balance it properly, this could be the thing the Yugioh Community has been asking for all these years :)

I like earning packs through gameplay(not online like magic arena) subscription services suck.
What I wouldn't mind is a Yu-Gi-Oh! Xenoverse where you basically just play through the animes as your own OC.
So basically tag force but with customization

I'm sure you'll be able to link your Konami ID to your games. They do it with duel links already.
The only simulator I see staying is dueling book, since it’s all manual it will probably be used to practice from real life players
Yea was gonna say this. Dueling Book has unique utility of actually preparing you for IRL events.
Yeah it’s manual but it’s so slow because of that .
Dueling book will definitely be sent a cease and desist to show konami is holding true to their copyrights

So just as heads-up, Famitsu put out an article on all the announcements, which says that Master Duel is free-to-play with microtransactions.
💔
Microtransactions on what exactly?
@@mathunit1 We don't know, the only new info from Famitsu was Master Duel (and Cross Duel) being F2P with microtransactions.
@@mathunit1 Everything
@@JoelBurger are you sure it wasn't just Cross Duel they were talking about?
Hey, you know, I actually think Yugioh already has their own e-sport!
It's called a YCS
What would also be cool is if cross duel is a format for battle royal and tag duels were teammates have separate fields that means they may also develop relay duels or perhaps make the turbo and action duel mechanics possible in an official format
They could monetize alternate art works, and card rarities also. Also, never played competitively, but I’ll definitely try once this comes out.
I hope they make an animation where opponents get sent to the shadow realm if they rage quit or lose connection. Would be hilarious. 😂
The problem is not doesn't have all cards
The problem is buy cards with money
Maybe in casual duels all cards will be unlocked but in ranked and tournament can be only used cards you get in game (quests and events) for free
Rush Duel Nintendo switch promo cards- Dark Magician, BEWD, and Red Eyes. I’m calling it now.
If that is the case....buy these up...because in like 10 years....they will be worth something.
Why would they put those in a game about rush duels
I love pure decks. Currently I’m playing phantom knight with the adventure token, dpe, and double scythe lock!
I have been "retired" from Yugioh essentially since graduating high school in 2006. My final game was on the last day of school in woodshop class LOL.
But I want IN on this.
I'm excited for the possibilities Master Duels will provide for those who have trouble finding events near them (l like me here in Utah).
IDK how they would work that into Yu-Gi-Oh because of the different rarities for the same cards but it could be an interesting mechanic if they do it
$60 and everything should be available if it’s just a simulator
I wouldn't pay 60$ for a mobile game
It’s free to play that’s confirmed already
I’d pay 60 for the game systems. It’s not confirmed it’s cross play (even though it’s looking that way). If it’s not a cross play from system to mobile, then it could be different. We don’t know a whole lot. It just shouldn’t be where you need to pay for yhe cards in game. I like the pay for the game up front and then do the grind like link evolution.
subscritions and card numbers for deck builds sounds amazing!
Not a fan of going digital tbh I'm worried physical cards and events will be forgotten
Physical costs way too much, i play only duel links and i can play all my fav decks for free or sometimes $5 or $10.

The little pets on the side, the style of the board and animations, it looks so much like legends of runeterra and that’s good for me.
Yea I'll still be sticking to online Sims, UNLESS they actually want to have a good system of collecting cards like LoR
Imagine them selling a physical structure deck and including a code in it for Master Duelist that gives you that deck
I'm excited that Rush Duel has an over world. I hope Master Duel has the same.
11:30 I remember YuGiOh having a rental system in the GBA version of the game where you enter an actual card's serial number to get it in the game.

Maybe it'll be like MTG Arena and Hearthstone where they start you off with a couple different structure decks and by playing you can earn in game currency and buy packs that way.
Honestly I hope it'll be more like Legends of Runeterra because those games you mentioned have flaws in their micro transactions

Bro the ps5 update that allows u to make tournaments would be insane with yugioh
I kinda hope they start from the beginning. The nostalgia of playing the really old decks would be ace
I CAN'T WAIT FOR FOR DUEL MASTERS..!!! I've waited years for a true yugioh game and its about time..!!!
We'll probably get cross-save to use your account on different supports but cross-play may be a little too much to ask for especially with how Sony is ...
I can agree with that 😅
Sony are asshats when it comes to that aspect but I could most definitely see Nintendo and Xbox doing it.
There's literally crossplay in almost anything nowadays. But keep yelling at Sony lmao. Ppl are weird.
And then if you want the cool cosmetic stuff (pets, card styles, sleeves) you either play a bunch or pay up
This is gonna be by the numbers. The second I heard about "mascots" it's just gonna be another magic arena.
Or it can be a Legends of Runeterra which does everything better than Magic Arena
Don't forget in the original yugioh during the battle city finals they had a 4 way free for all yugi vs Kiba vs Joey vs marik
I'd be happy with something like the duel links monotization system, I'd only hope they make more use of the coins
An idea I had was Gems to buy specific sets of cards, and coins for the random pack openings, however then you run into a potential pay to win problem
Alongside the mats, sleeves, pet system, I think the monotization would be fine
This has so much promise! I'm ready for it.
Idk how others feel about it but I would prefer a pokèmon tcg online system with codes in the packs
This sounded nice until you said packs.
We need a new duelists of the roses and forbidden memories!!
Yes please ☹️ and the battle cutscenes
Master duel where people take 15-20 minutes to do 1 turn
If it's anything like LoR it will be timed and timer trolls will be grouped with timer trolls.
People: takes 20 minutes to do their full combo.
Me: takes 1 second to blanket wipe their entire board.
Based on them stating this is going to be an official format for worlds I would say there would be a 3min time limit per turn in pvp and tournaments
Fortunately there appears to be a timer if you look at the left hand side of the screen.
Shit I'ma still play nexus . Wether I have this game or duel legacy
Just let me pay 60€ as a one time fee. There's no way I'll get into it if I have to buy 4€ virtual packs
Lets hope they add a card In the structurele decks for a digital deck in masters
The digital code per pack thing would be very nice. Paves the way for a stable future for the game and such.
I think it would be cool if you could maybe transfer your cards from Duel Links to Mater Duel that way you can your favorite cards from the beginning or maybe like Paul said you can pick your favorite cards but you’re limited to 40 cards & can only pick from a certain archetype
If we have to pay for packs I'll be pissed
If we have to pay for packs, we will probably have to pay with in-game money that the game provides us like how Tag Force did.

Past yugioh games had a code system. Yugioh world championship 2004 for example
This game will make it so much easier to get my friends into yugioh with it being so accessible
