So true. Even other youtoubers reference him in their videos as someone who goes in depth and is so knowledgeable about this game. I share his videos with all my friends I play with.
About time you made this guide! As a side note, if people are wondering how to tell which Sugarbombs to save for sweetrolls and which Fancy Lad Snack Cakes to save for Pothole Pie, it's the one with the rads.
Always great videos. An interesting food interaction that was not covered but has the same behavior that the X-cell and buffout example covered is with Scorchbeast Mixed Meat Stew. Similar to X-cell, it boosts all special stats except strength. On my carnivore, it increases them to 3 for an hour. If I eat something else that increases a stat higher than 3, like Charred Scorchbeast liver which will give you 30 min and 8 luck, the stew will not be replaced even though they both increase luck. The stew will no longer provide any luck but I'll have a new entry under food for the liver giving me 8. The other interesting thing is that when the liver bonus (8 luck) ends, the stew will add the 3 luck back since it lasts a full hour. My guess is that the interaction with X-cell and buffout will do the same but chem duration times are so short that it is hard to notice.
Agreed. Well for stacking exp buffs anyway. The rest don't matter if you have good enough weapons and armour and your build is good enough. Even if your build and/ or gear isn't that great don't worry too much. Just get your thousand damage in at the start then let that one braindead idoit who brought a legacy gatling plasma to fight earl finish him off while you farm the spawns for exp, screws and acid.
Wow, I did not know only one buff in each of the alcohol and drug categories, I’ve been wasting Psychotats cuz I take Berry Mentats after. And magazines too! Though I use them far less often. Thanks for this guide!
TURTLE FACT: Turtles aren’t silent. Although they’re not likely to be as loud as dogs or cats, turtles do make a range of noises, anything from chicken-like clucks to dog-like barking, depending on the species.

Ty for youre videos you definitely help so many ppl I hear your name alot on psn
HEY MELEE BUILDS here's my sauce for the fellow carnivores Mutant stew,Death claw wellington, Glowing meat, yao guai roast , and Mutton pie is the best outcome possible for food to use at once (most of these increase damge by 20-30 percent each ) Drinks ? I take blackberry or the tarryberry tea you spam that at least 4-5 times and will have plenty of AP this stops the dodge perk card from preventing power attacks Party girl/boy with whiskey +6 strength or you can take the nuka shine route and play as an drunken barbarian lol the sugar free nuka is being saved for a rainy day ! Fury for damage and radshield ( you fight ghouls up close you'll take rads ) as a chem Ghronk issue one for melee damge or covert ops 8 if you are unarmed its 25% plus damage instead of ghronks 15% Melee bobble head or unarmed

Awesome guide. Great work as always, AT! I wish Bethesda would include a freezer as a CAMP item. The fridge is nice, but a freezer would be a huge boost to game life!
i've done many an experiment to learn what buffs can be used in conjuction together specifclly the carryweight effecting ones. when i am over encumbered i can ussually get 50-130~ extra carry weight depending on what teammates are mutated and what food items i have.
I grabbed Carnivore a couple weeks ago, simply due to Scorchbeast bits. +7.5 to each of Endurance, Intelligence, Agility, and Luck split across the different meat parts, and since SBQ fights often spawn deathclaws as well, Deathclaw Steak makes +5 Strength on top. Sweetwater Special Blend still works, is still boosted by Party Boy, and is still boosted by that one magazine, for +6 Perception most days (more when I have the magazines to spare). Carnivore/Herbivore came down to convenience for me. Herbivore has higher potential, but I already fight a lot of Scorchbeasts, and even grabbed Butcher's Bounty to put on for them specifically. I'm always carrying Scorchbeast meat, which means I always have access to 4 high SPECIAL buffs from just playing the game.
@AngryTurtle, I don't remember if you mentioned it or if someone in commennts mentioned it, but a good addition to stacking experience/intelligence buffs for experience farming is a Shielded Vault Jumpsuit, it gives an extra 1 to Strength, 2 to Endurance, 2 to Intelligence and 2 to Luck!
This guy is going for full on aesthetic immersion what with the Ricky Ricardo vibe and the 1950s technological cultural experience of the fallout wasteland
Angry Turtle: I swear you put out such informative videos. I would believe you were part of a team that made the game, with your understanding of how the game works. I just wish it was easier to make the foods ahead of time in prep for a big mission in the game. Say a low level wants to get the most out of fighting the SBQ. But, some of the foods spoil makes it hard to have the stuff on hand ready in time. I have a tendency to just collect chems because of the spoil rate of the foods... now i just need to find a new place to farm XP.
Psycho + Psychobuff, Vodka + Nukadark in that order. with cola-nut and party boy and the other perks that buff these consumables, the stacked buffs should be crazy.
Hi Turtle. Just wanted to say this vid was super helpful when I was first learning the game, but it could be updated with the changes to melee food and chems not stacking anymore. Also just want to add there is a separate food and drink category on the effects page cause there is the hunger and thirst bars also, which gives another buff for being “fully fed.” And I don’t know if you did a separate video on this, but there are also the camp devices that give buffs, another category that could be included. Yeah, Beth coulda done better with the display page!
If you add Yasmine to your camp you can server hop and her inventory will update and she only sells the best version of the recipe so as a melee build I don't have to do free range for mutton pies anymore !
Woah woah woah. Does this mean I can just server hop for broiled scorchbeast brain and tasty squirrel stew? I don't need to farm squirrels or cranberries?
@@youwhat8789 Yup ,especially if you just need a little bit to get by if you want large quantities then you're better off farming or taking the time to server hop ,all of the recipes I need use salt and pepper plus a bunch of different ingredients so it's a Time saver for me
