Forgot to add! When entering items into the yellow section for my inventory, I organize them alphabetically! Makes items super easy to find when copying/deleting those rows up into the “sold” category 🥰 You can also add a column for “inventory bin” if you have a number or letter-based inventory storage system!
When I bring him new inventory, I just insert rows manually throughout the inventory section to keep them all alphabetical. But you can also highlight the rows and right click on “sort by A-Z”
This is sooo helpful! I just talked to my accountant on how to deliver the necessary info to him for my taxes and this is basically what he was asking me for. Thank you SO much!!
Oh my gosh oh my gosh OH MY GOSH! IVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR A SPREADSHEET OF THIS NATURE WITH INVENTORY, SALES , AND EXPENSES AND AT LAST, FINALLY I FOUND ONE! THANK YOU YOU'RE A LIFE SAVER! After IVE SEARCHED AND SEARCHED AND SEARCHED! Whew, I was getting worried there for a minute that I wouldn't find one. Go Daddy Bookeeping shut down...I just don't understand why people wouldn't include all these three necessities together in their spreadsheets!
GREAT JOB! I use spreadsheets ALL The time for my full time work and you did great! I LOVE that you added a graph. That i do not use in my full time job but love that i now have it for my part time posh job :)
It made a lot of sense and I was just listening and not actually watching. I like numbers and organized graphs so… I really enjoyed this video! Thanks!!
I'll say this first...Hairy Tornado (Josh) here on YT also interviewed NotYourDadsCPA on his channel last week. Probably a lot is the same but Josh did a Q&A format so it may cover some different details. Hannah, as usual...Yes, it was very helpful! And Thank You! I have a spreadsheet but I'm definitely adding colums for Days to sale/ Time/ Strategy and I hope I can import your graph creator. That is awesome! I'm going to look at the other one you mentioned, as well. Having the tax estimate is great.
Great spreadsheet! For the formula automatic change ; it will do it by itself if you add lines in between the existing lines in the original formula ( exemple instead of adding a line under 16 add it between 14 and 15 and it will be included in your existing formula) 🙂
Yes absolutely! Thank you for pointing this out, it completely slipped my mind while filming the video. I usually do insert rows in the middle of the “inventory” section because I organize it alphabetically, but I list my sales chronologically by sell date in the top green section so I add rows to the bottom and always have to update the cell ranges. Thanks you so much!
@@HannahAlonzo just keep at least one blank row at the bottom of the section and then add your new rows between your last data row and the blank row. Then you can still do by date like you want to. Just always keep one row blank at the bottom.
In order to remind yourself to add rows before you use the last row in a section you could simply put "ADD ROWS NOW" in the A column as the last row of the calculated formula for each section, Solds, Inventory or Expenses.
Super late to the party here lol. Their ways work probably better than this but another option you do have is to sum out the column. So the same way you looked at the average, you can also select it all and select the sum button and it will put your total to the right or bottom of whatever you click. So if you’re selecting a horizontal row, the cell in the next column will show your sum or if you’re selecting a column, vertically, the next cell underneath will show your sum. Just click on the “sum” button once everything is selected.
Hannah! Thank you very much for sharing. I'm a dinosaur and it really helped me. Now I just have to go to help with google sheets and study up on the "function" tool. Thanks again!!
Hello! I've watched all your videos and have been using your spreadsheet since March 2021 when I started reselling. Your videos have helped me tremendously; Thank you so much! Can you please tell me what you do with your spreadsheet when a new year starts. I'm so confused. I downloaded a new spreadsheet for 2022 but what do I do when something that was purchased in 2021 and logged in as an expense in 2021 but sold in 2022? Do I add the sale to my 2022 spreadsheet and not add the what I paid for the item? I'm thinking of I do my expenses will be off since it was accounted for in 2021. Please advise! 🙏
So glad I found your channel! 💕 this spreadsheet because of its simplicity! Thanks so much for sharing!! I’m not savvy with technology and was in search of an easy spreadsheet to use! I’m a visual person so definitely love the graphs 📈! Subbed to your channel!
I love this! I am like you, not a clue how to do this stuff but I think this looks awesome! I tried clicking on Jen's link but there's nothing there? Anyway, I will definitely be using your system here, it makes total sense to me, I think you've done a fine job!! As I sell on various platforms I will just do one for each place, no biggie. Give yourself a pat on the back, you did great! Thanks for sharing this!
HI! Thank you for this! super helpful. I do have a question. When you sell in a bundle, lets say you sell two items how do you distribute the earnings and all that within the two lines? Not sure if Im explaining myself correctly... But I appreciate the input thanks.
Thank you so much Hannah! I have learned so much from your videos in a short period of time :)) quick question, do you include the sales tax on the "expenses" items? For example if the poly mailers are $15 is that with tax included or just regular price?
What about highlighting the cells already there and copy and paste below the last filled line..then delete the copied info. I think that it would default to calculating if you do that
Thank you for posting such educational posh videos, you are truly my Poshmark idol. I do have a question ... if I offer a lower price to a liker with a discount of shipping and they counter, does my discounted pricing of $4.99 or free still apply to their counteroffer?? Or does the shipping go back up to $7.11??Thank you for providing us with your knowledge, it’s greatly appreciated:)
Thanks for watching Anna, I’m happy the videos have been helpful! When they counter back, they lose the shipping discount so they will have to pay their offer + $7.11 shipping 😊
I started using your spreadsheet a few days ago. Should you use the same spreadsheet as you used last year, or do you make a new spreadsheet every year?
to have your formulas for totals stay the same u could put each chart on a diff tab and put the total row above the itemized rows so that row never changes position.
Thank you for the video❤ but why add Fees when the app shows your earnings next to the Item sold? Also you can see details and then you can see that poshmark took their share?!I'm little confused would love tour help with this please❤
Hi I copied this spreadsheet. I was signed in with my Google account. Had all my stuff on there. I feel so stupid. I thought I saved it. Went to look for it and it would only show yours. What did I do wrong? I figured it out. I t works now. Thank you for sharing this spreadsheet.
This has been really helpful!!! However I have a few questions. Do you not include price paid for items, fees, and shipping discounts in your total expenses since they are investments? Or do you not include them because you profited from the sale? Also before going to your cpa do you add cost of goods unsold into your expenses? Thank you!!
Hey there! If I’m understanding your question correctly, I do not count fees or shipping discounts as expenses. I do count the price paid for inventory as an expense. I do not have a CPA but I did include cost of goods unsold in my expenses for 2020. Although you don’t have to! I highly recommend watching the “Reselling Taxes Q&A” live recording on abritishposher’s Instagram account for more detailed tax info!
This is great and I so love your channel but I’m curious if you’ve seen the free Spreadsheets offered by Poshmark under seller tools. It tracks your inventory and your sales seamlessly and tells you if it was bought on an offer or up. There is a slight gap between the souls and the inventory of items that are shipped but haven’t been excepted by the buyer but that can easily be fixed periodically. I love the spirit of you giving away what you have done for free.
Thank you for watching and for your kind words! Yes, I’ve seen those and occasionally I’ve downloaded the inventory report to see how long certain items have been listed for. I just didn’t love the layout and I like to have my sales and inventory in one place 😊
Hi Hannah, Thank you so much for sharing first of all! Do you color code each month sold? Now that Im entering my inventory I'm wondering how you add a new month for sales? Im a RN and so computer ignorant it humiliating! I was thinking if I could color each month in the sole section how cool would that be. I have NO idea how to do it or an suggestions anyone????? Love all of you for working so hard.
I don’t color code by month, but you absolutely could! Just click on the row numbers (far left column on your screen) to highlight the rows you want, then go up the the icon at the top of the spreadsheet that looks like a paint can tipping over. That will allow you to change the color of the rows to whatever you want!
You could also add new tabs at the bottom of the sheet by clicking that plus sign lower left corner and label each tab by month and just copy and paste solds into their month sold to keep things separated.
Hey Hannah, does the link for your spreadsheet still work? When I click "Make a copy" it says "Sorry, unable to open the file at this time. Please check the address and try again" Could you please update the description with a new link? Thanks so much, really appreciate it! I'm subscribed now :)
Hi! The link should still work! Just tried 3 times from 3 different Google accounts and they all worked for me. Not sure what's going on on your end, sorry about that!
I am still new to Poshmark. I have sold just a few items but I have not been keeping track of anything. Is there a way to capture the information (date listed, date sold, Poshmark fee)?
Yep! On the Poshmark app you can find that info under “my Posh stats” and “my sales” tabs. To find info about date listed, you can download the “my inventory report” and “my sales report”
Example: highlight row E or just press E and the row will highlight. Then hit the $ sign. This will covert everything in that row to dollars. Hope I’m explaining it clearly. Good luck!👍🏽
@@yesiedavila589 so it doesn’t matter where you adding the rows above or below that will extend it to all the row you inserted. Right? And you still have to sit there under row by row by row until next Christmas no easier ways? LOL
@@MihaelaRo yes, the only thing it fixes is the total. Unfortunately, you will still have to add the rows. I automatically added the $ to columns that were going to give me a dollar amount. I also automatically inserted extra rows because I knew it wouldn’t be enough. 😉
