    I JUST learned that the brand “Love Hers” is made by the same manufacturer as Zyia using the same materials! And it’s not an MLM and the items are way cheaper! I found a pair of leggings on Love Hers that I bought from Zyia! $69 Zyia, $35 Love Hers! Same with their Bomber Bras. $33 on Zyia, $25 for Love Hers and they’re exactly the same!!😡 Hannah, I’d LOVE to see a video on other MLM products that are made by the same manufacturers as NON MLM and way cheaper!!

    One big red flag in this MLM and others that really bothers me is that anyone can sign up to be a representative... no qualifications, no training, no experience, no background check, nothing. If you have the money, you're in. What legitimate company would essentially hire someone (as a 1099 contractor) to work for them without ever talking to them.

    I'm glad you pointed out that the "free" trips are reported as taxable income. I wonder if it gets reported (by the company) as a "bonus?" Because bonuses are taxed at an even higher rate than ordinary income. Probably no way to know that but if I had to guess, that's what they do! LOL

    I'm so glad you covered this one! My cousin almost signed up for it. She met a lady who was her husband's co-worker's wife and the lady pitched her. This lady was in it for a while at that point and she said she was making $500-$700 per month (which seems low). My cousin was the perfect target- stay at home young, hot, active mom of 2. She also would've been the first in her huge religious community to start this, so she could've made a killing but thankfully we talked and she thought about it and realized that the risk wasn't worth the scam.
    She started her own decorating business now and I couldn't be more proud. She'll go farther than this MLM could ever take her.

My wife was being bugged to get into It Works a few years back by a neighbor. At the time I did not know what it was but she contemplated buying something until she researched the product. Fortunately she did not buy anything but was bugged for awhile to buy. Now after listening to your channel I am glad my wife has a head on her shoulders and thought better. I am sure the next step had she bought was to get suckered in joining. I told her how I had heard on your channel what a scam it was and she laughed and said she thought it was. • @DracoTriste

    I took a look at their sports bras to see what their sizing was like. If you are D - F, you can try their XXL or their XXXL. If you are F or above or have an under bust measurement over 40 in, you’re out of luck. Their models for the bras weigh around 120-125 and wear size small or medium.
    If they had a bra that actually fit and supported larger women, they may even be worth $50-$70. But Zyia sports bras aren’t any more size inclusive than Target or Academy (where at least you get to try on the items before spending money, and they don’t cost that much to begin with) and they don’t look like they’re particularly special in design either.

    • @aking4766

      They surely cannot afford to make more than the most basic sizes...if they have to pay so much for their "reps" the quality and selection ALWAYS suffer. Check out Beyond Yoga! Especially cuz they say they come out with new stuff every week? Screams fast fashion to me for sure! If they're claiming the fabric is "plant-based" and anti-microbial it might be implied that it has a bamboo base. I would think that would be explicitly stated if that was the case, but who knows. The thing is, even though bamboo in its raw state might have anti-microbial properties, bamboo-based fabric is so processed that that property is no longer active. Which is a whole other thing in and of itself.

    great video! just chiming in to say that the natural material distinction makes sense, kinda. cuz there are several synthetic materials used for clothes (like rayon or polyester) vs a natura cotton or wool. & there’s synthetic materials used for waterproof coatings often found in active/outside wear. but it can also easily be gimmicky. like with makeup or skin care or food, just because something is natural does not make it inherently better. arsenic is natural but i’d choose an “unnatural” twinkie over it any day!

    • @MissaBrevis
      @MissaBrevis 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right, but if they're using the term "plant-based" as opposed to "natural", they could just be using rayon/viscose, because it's made by dissolving plant cellulose and then reconstituting it into fiber.

    I had never heard of Zyia till this past December. My step-mom who is a serial MLM supporter was the reason for this. She has not been in an MLM since I've known her but if any of her friends are involved she tries to support them; the main being Mary Kay. However, in December she texted me a link to the Zyia active page and asked if I saw anything I liked that she'd buy it for me. One of her friends was having a Zyia "FB party". I didn't know it was a MLM and went looking through the clothes seeing if I saw anything I might want. I honestly didn't find ANYTHING I wanted and just told her no it was okay and that I had found some prints at Target that I liked (lol). Well since I didn't get anything; she ordered a pair of dark men's workout shorts for my boyfriend. Luckily its not that noticeable the brand of the shorts because of the dark print on them and he does honestly like wearing them to work out in. Now that I know Zyia is an MLM because of you, Hannah; I thought to myself " thank goodness I didn't even like anything or might have ended up with a ton of Zyia clothes". Still haven't told my bf he has MLM gym shorts because I don't know how he'd react. We have them so I figure it is at least good he uses them because I don't really like fast fashion or the waste of clothing. So since we have them I'd rather him just get the use out of them. On the other note; I really don't know how to bring it up to my step-mom that she is supporting MLM's. I do not think she knows a lot about MLM's in the first place but I don't want her to keep throwing away money on some of the junk she has bought that I know she has not even used.
    Side story: I also have an older ex step-sister from my mom's previous marriage who was straight up evil to me since I was about 12 years old. She got sucked into Monat as a rep and lost thousands of dollars. Tragic yes, but I kind of think it was karma for how terrible a person she was for years to me and others.
