I personally love the idea of the Hidden Mobile Stronghold as being a giant carrier on treads, something like you'd see in Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak
@jackredathewarp As the Moritani who played in that game, I wished that I could target it the entire time. Thank you for the quick responses though, we enjoyed playing your content immensely.

Is mobile stronghold protectong from storm? You said that that mobile stronghold is collecting when moving in/out/through territory. So can i enter different sector but correct territory to collect? Can i go through the same territory but from one sector to anorher to trigger collection multiple times? Also enter leave enter terittory to collect x2?
Can Ixians use their technology bidding advantage (swapping a card from their hand with the card up for bid before atreides get to look at it) on a card that Richese has up for bid from their cache? (not blackmarket selling a card from their hand)
Do the Ixians get to look at both cards the harkonnen start with or is it like if the harkonnen win a treachery card bid and the harkonnen get 1 off the top of the treachery card deck after starting cards are dealt out?
Ixians get to see all of the cards that will be dealt out, which includes an extra card for Harkonnen. They won't know which ones end up in Harkonnen's hand though.
I know this can be house ruled, but I am curious if taking notes on the initial drawn cards is allowable as it is an Ixian at start setup ability. I understand the rules are that Atreides are the only faction allowed to take notes during the game, but is this permissible as it is prior to the first storm phase?
I was working on a printout tracker to help my newer Atreides players and rereading the BIDDING advantage of Atreides indicates verbatim, “You, and only you, may keep written records about cards.” This invalidates my Ixian idea with rules as written.
@@corgisandcomeuppance2250 I would also say it should depend on the experience level of the player. Newer folks don’t really know the deck distribution and nuances, so let them keep a record.
Not to necro, but question came up during play today. 6-player game with Ixians and Richese. Bidding phase: 2 players hands are full. Richese black markets a card then auctions of a Richese treachery card, now 3 players hands are full. How many cards are drawn from the treachery deck for auction? Meaning how many are drawn for Ixians to see. And when exactly does this drawing happen?
Black market is before Declaration but not the normal Richese card. If only two hands were full after the Black market sale, it would be four cards total, counting the normal Richese card. Ixians would look at 4, removing one.
really seems like Ixians make atreides irrelevant. Atreides' defining power is to see all cards in the blind auction, but Ix just sees all the cards, AND gets to discard one while manipulating future draw. Atreides loses the info monopoly, and suddenly cant sell info without being undercut by IX.... its just weird that a faction just specifically has an ability that makes another faction completely toothless. what am i missing here? the faction with a private mobile city, cyborg troops, perhaps the easiest access to desert spice and the most info at the start of the game also has a secondary ability that totally nulls atreidies entire faction identity?
Good videos! I hope to see all factions one day

Does it count as 1 movement fr Ixian forces to move from from hidden stronghold to the territory being pointed
It does indeed.
Can the Moritani nuke the mobile fortress with their terror token and stop you from shipping into it?
No. They can’t target it.

It is protected from storms and worms. You can only collect once per territory each turn.
@@jackredathewarp thanks.. but as I asked? Do I need to enter specific sector or eny sector of territory with spice?

Ixians cannot Technology on any card sold by Richese.

No

Seem very strong. Do Ixians have any weaknesses?
They have no income, and reviving cyborgs is expensive. If they don’t win in the first three turns, they often struggle to win.
Can Ixian skip their BIDDING Advantage or they MUST do it?
Indeed they must. Industry stops for no one.

Trust me, there’s a huge difference between knowing “someone” bought a snooper and knowing exactly who has it, or that it is currently up for sale.
