      @@helveticarms Hello man. Very cool vid. I didn't know your channel, YT has recomended it to me today. Subscribed now!. I love this rifle, but haven't had the chance to get one in my hands.
      There's only a question I have: Is it true that suffers from overheating more then an M16?. And, in relation to ammo, Is it true that it's very hard to get proper ones for this gun nowdays?.... My questions are because I have listened a lot of people complaining about that, but I'm still wondering... like to me, it doesn't fit something like that. It was conceived as a war fighting weapon, and considering it's an H&K, though not perfect (but hell, which rifle is, right?), it still delivers very good and is a top performer.
      Thank you for your time. I'll check your other vids too. Regards.

      @@sebastianmacario76 hello, thanks for your support! It's a really nice rifle, and has many good qualities, I dont know about the ammo issue, it seems to shoot fine with what ever I use, which is pretty standard stuff, this is an original hk rifle, it could shoot worse if it's a parts kit build from the u.s or something. In terms of overheating, it could be possible that it overheats more than others, but not sure, I did not shoot it until cookoff.. the HK33 was very popular amongst police and counter terror units, however not so popular with military adoption, perhaps there are reasons for that, such as its not as resistance to things like heat or other adverse conditions. Or it could just be a cost thing. Hard to say. Overall I think its definitely good enough for anyone who wants to use it as go to rifle, like you said, every rifle has quirks and you just have to work around them.

    The H&R T223 used by SEALs in Vietnam was actually German made then re stamped by H&R,. They had it on trial for less than a year, it was loved but ultimately not adopted as it's not American

    • @connorsproles9239
      @connorsproles9239 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The Seals didn't have a problem using the Swedish k. Hell, when the Swedes stopped selling them to us we made a bootleg version ourselves. Unless you have an official memorandum that says "we will only use domestically produced weapons," I don't think we should assume that the only reason it wasn't used is because it was a German weapon.

      @@connorsproles9239that’s a bit different. Considering Vietnam took place (officially for the US) in the 60s and 70s, you would’ve had a lot of the men fighting in the war being the sons of the veterans fighting in World War II alongside veterans themselves. I’m not saying every man was buying into the anti-German mindset post WWII, but was extremely common. Plus, that’s not the only reason why the rifle wasn’t adopted. I believe another major factor was cost, hence why the US cheapened their service personnel out by adopting the early M16.

    This MG is PK (As the owner said) not PKM.
    (Surely as nice to own.)
    PKM does not have fluted barrel and the flash suppressor is different(?)
    And the PKM has more stiffening ribs in top cover.

    When we did some shooting practices a long while back, some of these guns jammed after only one shot, but I never got to know the reasons , I hope somebody here can explain the causes thank you

    • @helveticarms
      @helveticarms  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It would he impossible to know why in this case, either there was defective parts, bad ammo, defective magazine, or very poorly maintained, as can be the case with any rifle. Now in the u.s they make these out of formerly destroyed parts kits or rebuild the receiver in often lower quality conditions so the guns arnt as reliable as they originally were. This could be the case for HK clones and others. Century arms C93 is known for having irregular quality.

    • @AlmaAndFriends-i9h
      @AlmaAndFriends-i9h 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      HK33 is known to be picky in terms of ammo types. It utilises delayed roller blowback automatics and it is pre-regulated for certain type of ammo like Spanish 5.56 etc. If you try to feed different ammo (of the same 5.56 NATO caliber), the automatics will most likely malfunction. HK G3 is less prone to this problem because it uses stronger 7.62 x 51 rounds and is more tolerant to the variations in the load (both watered-down 7.62x51 rounds and high-pressure 7.62x51 are still within the working interval)
      "The reliable functioning of roller-delayed blowback mechanisms is limited by specific ammunition and arm parameters like bullet weight, propellant charge, barrel length and amount of wear. For obtaining a proper and safe functioning parameters bandwidth Heckler & Koch offer a variety of locking pieces with different mass and shoulder angles. The angles are critical and determine the unlock timing and pressure curve progression as the locking pieces act in unison with the bolt head carrier."

      ça depend du canton, car chaque un as ses règles. Mais en gros ils faut etre reconnu come collectioneur, c'est cas par cas, et ils faut un coffre fort et suivre certains conditions et de but de collection. Apres ils faut faire une demande a la police chaque fois que tu veux tiré en full. Normallement c'est 100 chf par seance. Mais ils faut mieux appler votre bureau des armes et se renseigner.

      Those are really really quite rare, I only know of 1 or 2 and they are very exclusive, or military only. We have lots of 300m only ranges in each town. Those are great but generally you are not allowed to shoot any non swiss issue rifle, and definitely not a full auto.
