- Just a quick first impressions of my first time shooting the SIG SG543, I finally got around to uploading this after sitting on the footage for a while. I will revisit this rifle in the future with a bit more focus and depth.

small correction, most of them were made by FAMAE (or at least a modded version), not Manurhin if I'm not mistaken
Later they were made under license by FAMAE yes, but almost all the first ones were made by Manuhrin France, for example in Switzerland we almost only find ones made by Manuhrin. These were sold to Lebanon and Portugal amongst others.
Back in Portugal we had this rifle before the FN SCAR was adopted. The army Commandos and Rangers only, the Paras had the Galil and everyone else had the G3.
It was a good rifle for urban environments, but it sure wasn't a fan of water lol...
It was my battle rifle for 6 months

Some of these carbines were found when the US AF busted Saddam's compound, the famous one where all those gold n chrome plated Tabuks were back in 03'

Chilean businessman Carlos Cardoen sell bombs and guns to Saddam during the 80's, maybe he sell some SIGs made by FAMAE in Chile.
Fusil FAMAE SIG 543 fabricado en chile....Eso se llama Selector de gases en posición "0" se ocupa para disparar granadas de fusil, por eso es que no hay retroceso, en posición "1" se ocupa para disparo normal y en la posición "2" se utiliza cuando el cilindro de los gases o las toberas se encuentran muy tapadas con residuos de pólvora y así se puede seguir disparando el arma......Saludos
Beautyfull gun man. And the lmg was just the cherry on top. Can i ask you where you are shooting all your select fire guns and how much you pay for a session? Just got my first select fire Ak and want to try it out. Is it possible that this is Tactic‘hall?
Thanks! Yes this is TacticHall, however it was quite a while ago. Shooting Permits are needed of course.

Have you ever fired or held a famae sg 540? Think they are worth it ? I keep seeing some bad photos about spot welds
No I have no experience with the Famae version, however I did have a FAMAE SAF 9mm which is a similar construction than the SG540, if you want a idea of the quality I have a video on it on my channel. In summary I think its generally a good construction, however I had some serious QC issues with mine.
If you are Canadian basically, importers were given rifles that failed QC that famae unloaded on them lol and in turn unloaded on the canadian community.

It’s not malfunction it’s shoot better with good ammo or the green tips
