I always thought I was just "lazy" or "getting old" when I got out of breath doing the simplest things. Your videos made me realise all I needed was an iron supplement. It has made all the difference in the world: I feel 20 years younger! Forever in your debt for improving my quality of life so much with these videos.

and yes, I had a big problem with anaemia too, I'm currently supplementing Iron and B12. I hope You are very well and don't neglect your nutritional needs, and ideally get your blood-test done periodically.

I started to watch your videos during the pandemic and now I am watching your medical videos also. My husband and I for the first time both became anemic. We both were having breathing difficulties. Thankfully, we had blood work done and we are low in iron. Now we are on the road to finding out why we are experiencing anemia for the first time and at the same time.

I would suspect either a poor diet or you are exposed to/eating something that is causing you not to absorb iron. Gluten intolerance or poor micro biome. Eat a diet high in green leafy veg and other veg, beetroot is good for the blood too. Lots of veg every meal. Nuts seeds fruit mushrooms beans and if you area meat eater some liver. Get well soon.

I thought my IBS was getting really bad, and also I blamed my tiredness on knee osteoarthritis. Now I know it was low iron due to extreme monthly blood loss. Since starting the gentle iron I have felt so much better. Amazing! And my knee arthritis is still there but not bothersome as I was lead to think.

I was severly anaemic, all due to my periods, but i put off going to the doctors because i was always working and kept saying i'll make appointment,..had my symptoms a while before getting them checked out.,,i couldn't walk far without getting really out of breathe ...i got breathless getting dressed and undressed,or trying clothes on.... then when i was walking up a steep hill, i got to the top and my heart was pounding in my chest, i was really really breathless and it's then that i decided to make a doctors appointment and thought sod work,my health comes first..,told him my symptoms, and had a blood test, he told me that i'd lost alot of blood through my periods...i was put on iron tablets and B12, THEN i got the coil fitted to stop my periods.and haven't lost any blood since..
But there's other symptoms too, like i couldn't swallow my food properly, had a sore tongue, had no colour in my face, had a feeling that insects were crawling on my skin.
my hands and feet were always cold,i always felt cold even in summer...
i had many symptoms,Dizziness, confusion, cracked sores on the corners of my mouth..it's nice to have anaemia explained properly in this vid..
    thank you.

I have every single solitary symptom he discussed. We were also told my daughter has some sort of gene mutation where she has to take B12 and folic acid since her body doesn’t absorb it and that she got it from either me or her dad. EVERY single thing adds up now!
I’m 38 and my legs have been swelling horribly(mostly ankles and feet)for years. I have terrible heart palpitations that make me cough and dizzy sometimes. I do have low iron. I’ve had a heart Catherine though and they said no blockages.
Anyway, I’m shocked. I need a good doctor! I feel like I’m going to die and leave my kids. I feel horrible almost everyday. Some days I can function decently. Others just enough to get by. Others, not at all. Not even a shower. I need a good doctor who knows this stuff!

Oxygen saturation percentage is 41% upon exertion!!!
How I'm still alive bc I don't move the only thing that still hanging on is my brain although I know has been affected by lack of oxygen gone untreated so long.
I been bed ridden for 3 years and I can't believe the health system to be this cruel maybe its racism. And its not like I don't have health care I have PPO plan through Aetna why am I left to die?
My oxygen levels only drop when I move

I am SO sorry. It’s terrible to be sick and feel horrid all the time. Healthy people don’t comprehend it. Thankfully I don’t have the health issue you have! I do have health problems and feel really terrible more often than not.
I pray you are given the help you need and deserve! I’m sure it isn’t “racism” as you said. I am a 38 yr old white woman and my white dr almost let me die a couple years ago.
Edit: Not saying racism doesn’t exist because of course it does. Just saying, many of us do not receive good health care no matter our color.

  • @hairrum

Could this be causing easy bruising?

    • @Campbellteaching
      @Campbellteaching  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

Not as such, the blood component that is important for blood clotting is the platelets or thrombocytes. Ask for a test of thrombocyte levels. If platelets are low this is thrombocytopenia and is a cause of easy brusing.
