    Tau should have been equal to 0.864 but who cares?

      You’re right. That decimal point got lost along the way one semester.

    Wanna ask, isn't ther another force on pin B, which is F_ab. ?

    If point E is in tension then why is the Normal force that we calculated negative (i.e. in compression) at point E?

      Point E has some compression due to the normal force, but it has some tension due to the bending moment. Add them together and there’s a net of 57.8 MPa tension.
