Thank you for this beautiful offering. The message is so powerful and so needed. As I move out of my anxious attachment I found I moved into an avoidant attachment, and then I am moving into earned secure attachment. My nervous system is my guide. As I become more embodied I find that my body is where my truth is. I am just so thankful

So much of this spoke to me so very personally. The childhood story "You have to try to earn it - but you never will." Pursuing men who'd leave me or have secret relationships. Unwinnable experiences from childhood. The somatic overwhelm of the positive and secure experiences - even as I intentionally vision my future relationship. WOW. Thank you, Mark. I'm so hopeful I can create the relationship of my dreams, thanks to the work you bring to the world.

The Universe has a sense of humor; I had been sitting in my car avoiding going into the grocery store for over 20 minutes when the part about being in freeze came on. 😂 I’m grateful for this episode and for you both sharing your experiences to help others. Thank you!

“Gotta stop chasing after people to give you what you need to give yourself.”
Okay, I understand this. Does this also play into effect with basic needs? Like, If I have a need for connection, or emotional intimacy and I voice that, is that something I should not be asking of someone else to give me because I should give this to myself? I’m caught up on this.
Someone explain this to me please. What’s the difference between communicating a need and not looking for external things being met outside of you like needing to feel loved/intimate or connected with your partner?

@@markgroves I heard they estimate about 50% of the population have attachment issues. So clearly it's a topic which is very important to reach the masses. We all have to step up and do our part so that collectively we can make change. Excited to listen!

Freeze state sounds like my adhd. Can you do a podcast on attachment and its relationship to mental health conditions? I'm sure my adhd is related to a disorganised and unpredictable childhood.

How do u explain this to others..
After reacting/or having shaming outbursts.....overthinking & all of the awful things that come with ptsd & a disregulated nervous system after 56 years & most of that has been unconcious.....friends have pulled away, relationships disasterous......
I feel so alone & ashamed but people just don't understand!! 😢
