The PWT was really interesting; it was definitely one of the best battle facilities.

This slaps, Pokémon World Tournament was one of the best battle themed postgame areas, if it returned with Gen 1-8 characters, and remastered music the potential would be through the roof!

The best Battle Frontier equivalent.
Why?
Because they don't start throwing goddamn Legendaries at you. I don't care if it's supposed to be a challenge, it completely breaks any suspension of disbelief for them to have those.
The fact that it includes almost every major Trainer who existed at that point helps too.
@@NoxObscura7 There's evidence for Heatran, Cresselia, Darkrai, the Lati twins, and maybe the Kanto Birds, but the Johto Beasts are explicitly unique and the Emotion Trio appear to be as well. Not to mention the Swords of Justice, possibly the Kami Trio, and especially the Tapus.
Also, I just don't think it's as interesting to spam Legendaries. Frontier Heads are using competitively-viable strategies already, why are the Legends needed?
Yeah because the player character having an arsenal of legendaries is totally believable

I only bring legendaries if they’re plot relevant and genuinely want to join the team (Lati Twins offering their allegiance in ORAS, Nebby in Sun/Moon, Xerneas and Yveltal hanging around to help you in XY, etc), the rest get benched. Even then, I don’t always bring ‘em with me

It has. It’s called Pokémon Maters ;-; (even though I love the game it’s still sad we prob won’t see anything like PWT because of its existence.
I’m so annoyed that the community wants to settle for the basic gameboy formula with more content tagged on. I have huge nostalgia for these things, but I don’t understand why we can’t leave it in the past for a real evolution to the franchise.

I dont think a single battle theme has managed to reach the absolute anticipation, energy and cinamatic POWER of the PWT Championship theme. Severely underrated but god is it HYPE AS HELL!

As usual, this is an amazing remaster. The PWT was truly an amazing battle facility, as was the Black Tower/White Treehollow. Honestly if BW/B2W2 doesn't have remasters as good as the ones you make, I will truly be sad. Keep it up, I'm sure Ichinose and Satō would be proud of these remasters!
When you realize that black-and-white had a World Championships before galar and was way more challenging and famous.

The concept of a live orchestra/band accompanying a live Pokémon battle in a stadium sounds super hype

This makes me think about how they got rid of the battle frontier. God I hope they put the battle frontier in BDSP
@@garypotter4717 Diamond and Pearl only had the Battle Tower. It was Platinum that introduced the Battle Frontier.
I would love to see the Frontier make a return. I missed it in ORAS, so I'm hoping to see it in the new games.
@@Auke1993 I don't think Battle Frontier would return because like ORAS they would add what ever battle gimick the current new gen had. So Battle Tower would defently return since it was in Sword and Sheild. I bet Brilliant Diamond and Shint Pearl would model the Battle Tower after the Sword and Sheild one

Sorry, while we were building our exact replica of Galar's Battle Tower, one of the Dynamax Pokémon got out and trampled all the other battle facilities.
I think they will only get the battle frontier battle theme from battle frontier. And other parts will be same with DP’s battle tower like in ORAS.
I have hope that one day the pwt will return, even if I’m in my eighties when it happens

The leitmotif around 2:08 reminds me of dialga's fight to the finish from pmd sky. I think that's why this theme felt oddly nostalgic to me even upon the first time listening to it back when b2/w2 first came out

One of my favorite moments in the pokémon series. The thrill of the final fight, The crowd cheering, All the lights and fireworks... I love this piece and you guys did a great job.
Now that I think about it, they could have added the PWT in gen8 and not only it would be dope as hell, it would be a way to put Ash into the main series, and it would also go along with the ending of the anime.

A new version lovely
Loved the older generations of in-game battle playgrounds. New generations push towards online battling. Like pokemon was and is an introvert game, so in game battle facilities are much more appreciated than being funneled into online battling.
