Nice job . I have several of these mini warbirds , My P-40 is the XK version , slightly different , as it comes in a 2 piece design and with an even nicer paint scheme . I use a 600 mAh battery in them , it gives that added nose weight and some extra flight time . The XK Rare Bear F-8 is another great flyer if you're interested in more .

Hi, I had the 2 XK series as well and also the recent Q version of X250 ..lol
However, comparatively the Eachine 761 series of the planes having a much better quality gyro controller unit in the Rx board (except the P-47, which is not 761 protocol chipset actually).

Thumbs up for the 3 penny trick on the P-40. Mine works great on beginner and intermediate, but advanced is chaotic for me. I'm still new though.

Awesome stuff Brian! I nerd out so bad over these Eachine Warbirds. These planes were love at first flight, and I'm just waiting for my Japanese Zero and slate grey Bf109 to arrive to complete my collection of all nine of them! I have them mounted in a massive squadron in my living room called Warbird Wall. Got all three different Bf109's, the Corsair, the Trojan, the p51 Mustand, the P40 Warhawk, the Spitfire and the Zero. Could type on and on about how much I love these planes! Now is the time to get them too, before the Christmas season wipes them out.

Brian, thanks for saying "if you fly in beginner mode and you're having fun; who cares?" I learned w no gyros, then AS3X, then SAFE. I fly mostly in SAFE, Flip out occasionally for a trick, then back SAFE. It is super fun for me. But I still get some attitude from the SAFE haters. Because of that I quit my club and fly at local parks now. Thanks for reminding that the whole point is just have fun!

    • @BrianPhillipsRC

Yes - you have to move the rudder control linkage to the outermost hole, and then get the CG right, and it will fly "okay" but I agree, one of the worst examples of the XK lineup...also, one of the best looking micro planes ever....just didn't fly HALF as good ;(

@@BrianPhillipsRC I'm having lots of fun with my oldtimer nine eagles/robbe Extra300 doing aerobatics training and banner tow (often sponsored by local retailers), smaller models won't shrink the fun.

I have the Corsair and it feels a little trickier to fly than the mustang or the Trojan; just like it's bigger versions lol. Nevertheless, watching those dark blue gull wings fly with the sun behind it is breathtaking, no matter the size/scale...

Bird on your six? Loop! As birds can't loop, and get on it's six. Problem is that plane is programmed so badly you have to be in intermediate mode to loop ( without using loop button).
