I remember getting this game in 2008 and playing it for at least 2000 hours by the time my PS3 died. I think back on all the memories, all the fellow creators I knew, all the levels I played and created. I think back on all the personal memories, staying up all night trying to ace that Tundra level with the rotating wheel and meeting my best friend after playing one of his levels and sending him a message regarding how much I loved it. I think back on developing my creativity and wandering our world with a mind full of level ideas as I went home to develop them. I think back on my progress of level development, going from someone who could barely figure out how to place a block of sponge, to a master level creator with thousands of fans. Its been nearly 7 years. I'm now 17, and I look back on this game as part of my gaming history, part of my childhood. Just like Team Fortress 2, I'll remember this game forever. I thank Media Molecule for creating such a masterpiece.
Yeah, I've had so many good memories, all of the levels were amazing. I remember when I just had the demo, and that was even great alone. I've met so many cool people, staying up for countless of hours playing tons of levels. My progression in this game was very good, I remember I tried to get every costume and ace every level. In my opinion, out of all the current LBPS, this one is certainly the best in my opinion!
+Zero 92 "playing it for at least 2000 hours" Literally??? Damn. That's seriously excessive. I hope you found time for school...and eating. >:P I just got this with a bundle of games for free. Wasn't thinking it's my thing but maybe I'll give it a shot. Despite not being into the level building stuff....
+Zero 92 LBP really was a good time. It's so jubilant and creative. I have many memories playing it with my friends, playing the story with my sisters and enjoying everything it had to offer!

In terms of creative potential, LBP 2 and the upcoming LBP 3 are far superior. However, in terms of the story mode, the menu design and the overall feeling you get from it, LBP 1 is truly sensational. I have never played a game that has captured my senses so well. LBP 1 for that reason, is one of my all time favourite games.
I’m trying to convince my bf to get this for me during quarantine, I remember my brother use to be scared of the ghost toast 🤣omg the memories playing this game
I'm just now playing the game, because I've never had a PS3 as growing up, and just the game music makes me want to cry over nostalgia I've never had... :,(
Me and my husband have always wanted to play LBP but we both had 360s and nothing Sony since PS2. But we decided to go with the PS4 (for obvious reasons) and now we'll finally get to play LBP when the third one comes out on Tuesday! I hope I like it. I'm pretty heavy into FPS and it takes a big pull to get me interested in anything else. That being said, I loved Super Mario Galaxy and also the Halo Reach map creator so it seems like I'll like this.
nuttedlemons Do you think it's not as good because it's not enough of an improvement upon the previous ones? As a stand-alone game, trying to imagine the first two never existed, do you still think it's just not that good?
***** one of the key factors for littlebigplanet is multiplayer. Whenever i try to join people, it doesn't work. Bugs are improved but still are hiding. LBP1 and 2 had great stories (don't get me wrong, i loved LBP3 and it's story. But it isn't as good as the first ones) they both took me around 13 hours to complete while LBP3's took me 5. Most of the music in LBP3 aren't that good and most of them are bought, not original. LBP2 had a similar situation but LBP1 was fresh, Kenneth young (head of audio in MediaMolecule) made amazing music and if you listened to it in youtube, i'm sure you will like one of them. And before you say anything, the music is a big part of LBP. The Community levels are better now but the lack of the "dive in" and "cool pages" feature make you looking alot to find levels.
It has a TON of replay value. You beat a level, then go back to get all the items, try to ace it, go to a different level to get a sticker, there is so many items! It never gets boring
A friend showed me this game, and at first i was not interested in it. But when he told me there was a level creater, i had to get it. And know i love lbp
I first started on LBP with my best friend Cooper we stayed up all night playing LBP! but in 2010 he moved to Louisiana and for my birthday in 2013 I had a dream that I would play LBP and so that night I immediately woke up and I picked up LBP2 from GameStop and I loved it! I still play it with LBP3 and with my Sackboy plush. So thanks to Cooper I got into the series I don't know what games I would play if I never have played that game.
this game was so good, but imo the best part was the map editor.. me and a few friends would spend countless hours on it just messing around.. we never made maps, just literally messing around making giant expxlosions and killing eachother in creative ways, flying around in ufos and stuff. damn, i miss them days. also the pirates of the caribbean dlc that allowed you to spawn water was also amazing
It depends. If you start to create stuff, you won't stop (or that's what it's like for me). But again, it honestly depends on how you play the game and how it "feels" to you. For example, if you play more than create, it may get numbing after a while. I normally go back and forth from this game.
