You can put the butter in a glass oven-proof dish and do the whole process in a 300° oven w/o stirring. Takes about 45 mins- 1 hr, but so easy!

I find cream or esp milk works as a sweetener for coffee
I use about 1/4c milk in a mug of mild coffee and it’s like a latte used to be for me (a real latte, sweeteners & flavors etc)

Also, keep a snack bag or two filled with bacon bits --we take a pkg of (ck to make sure bacon is plain bacon) bacon and cut the whole pkg in half, lay the strips out on a rack. Under that rack put a layer of aluminum foil over the bottom tray. Tray - foil - rack - bacon. Put in oven and bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Let rest and then put in snack bags in frig. I'm telling you, this is the best way to stop a craving...have a couple pcs of that bacon. Cravings stop immediately. It's weird...but works! Hang in there - you are doing the very best thing for your health!

For really extra special butter bites add tallow when browning which gives a denser, chewier bite. I add 1/4 - 1/3 the amount of tallow as butter, so to 8 tablespoons or 1 stick of butter, 2 or 3 tablespoons tallow >

The 1st time I saw anyone make browned butter was watching Ketogenic Woman. She mixed some bacon bits into one batch to make molds for a cheese board. I just sprinkled some bacon bits into a small bowl to eat with a spoon of the browned butter that I made... satisfying. I'm mostly Ketovore, but will try Carnivore if I can get my Husband to try for a few days. I'll have to be very creative as he loves bread. Simply putting a high quality MCT oil (such as from Performance Lab - shipped from the UK) into black coffee is one option. Others may want to put some additional flavors into it. Such as a portion of one of these "Brown Butter" bites that Lisa W. is showing how to make. Or, as you suggest, simply adding a high quality butter into the coffee! I'm more of a tea person, generally, myself. Although I do like coffee occasionally. Local coffee shops in my area all seem to have never heard of the phrase "Bullet Proof Coffee". Except one place did, but they elected not to carry it as an item on their menu.

I find it was often due to my old self trying to eat "healthier", "low fat" that wasnt bumping up the fat.
Stilton melted in a pan with steak works well if you can add cheese. Using plenty of butter (which ends up browned) to cook with and pouring onto my steak... Slicing steak into strips and tossing in this pan juice, then eating with a spoon means i can consume more fat without feeling I have done so.... Result... WAY more satisfaction and longer before I need anything else

Been doing this for a while but with cream :)
Use some cream in the mix (going to just have to play for ratio you like start out 1:1 I reckon and vary
depending on how much you whip it up you get a dif bite texture so think truly like the whipped butter you get more whip cream soft vs just mixing it lightly you get a hard snap bite
also it helps suspend the browning to make it easier to spoon
Also use a sheet pan to put the molds onto for easier handling since they can be floppy

@@gabriellagalvan1818 yes or non browned and just melted :) use one of those little coffee blender sticks that run on batteries and does a good job then just use a spoon to put into the silicone molds :)
Couple times have used a small bit like spoon full collagen powder and they are almost chewy for the first few bites :)
Sometimes they do seperate a touch and the butter kinda freezes on the top but only a bit and not always
      Hope that helps

I am new to the carnivore lifestyle. We haven't fully thrown ourselves in yet. We decided to take it slow and give our insides time to adjust. We have been transitioning since the beginning of November. We definately feel better and I have more energy.
How do you feel about consuming sticks of butter every day? I follow someone that suggests it and it's truly hard to stomach, almost literally.
Great video and I appreciate you sharing.

Thank you for showing step by step the browning of butter. How many do you eat in a day? I’m at a stand still with my weight loss. I truly believe is because I’m not getting enough fat in each day. I’ve lost 62 lbs but still have a lot to lose. I’m having lots of cravings and that’s not where I want to be. ❤️🥰

    • @carnivoredoctor

Hi Mart, I'm only 5'3 and I eat about 200 gms of fat a day. A stick of butter is about 92 gms of fat when you enter it into a macro calculator. So depends on how fatty the meat is that I eat for my meals as to how much butter I eat in a day but some days close to the equivalent of about 2 sticks. Sometimes I eat beef or pork fat cracklings so I eat less butter on those days
