Been using this for a while now. Takes longer than the kicker but at the end of the day I can walk. Keeps my hip socket from getting inflamed. I would have had to leave the trade or only take jobs on without stairs .
Did you use to kick them on? I used to and I have hip pain. I only pressure them and shoot with staple now but was wondering if your hip pain came from kicking them on or pressuring them on, like leaning into the kicker and shooting with the staple gun if you know what I mean
what i cant understand is why start from top to bottom i mean you can but it takes longer....if you start bottom to up stair runs are so much easier....i learned from a guy doing this almost 60 yrs....he showed me how to stitch seam a rug...flawless

I feel your pain.
Honestly I only use the stair stretcher in certain situations but it works .

Sorry , but I am not installing 1 stair at a time with this method. 1 install going up . 16 stairs 30 to 40 minutes.
@@melvincowart9818 lol I feel you! It was garbage never used again after this video.
kinda looks really weird working backward too keep up the good work
It's extremely weird working backwards as long as your snapping your legs with the kicker your stairs will always be extremely tight.
New builds don't use screws in the risers, would this pop them?
Each stair separate, your maaaad!
All my steps I push no kicking
@@alexolga11 yah i push the kicker with my chest and weight then hammer in with stair tool tack and staple...

Ya I don't understand how anyone starts from the top we used that tool once and never used it again took twice as long from starting at top
Need about another foot on the handle
going down the steps and using a feather and mallet creates natural tension as lol, don't even need a kicker
😅😅😅😅😅😅...
You can work backwards buy just using tackless
Wym tackless?
@@cali408king4 installing waterfall from top to bottom then staple under lip
