I have always been A power stretcher man, but I bought A knee less about a year ago and I love it. Once you get the hang of it and stretch all the walls in with it you will see how tight it will get the carpet. I wouldn't use it on A patterned carpet, but on cut pile polypropylene it really does work well. I wouldn't use it if didn't get the carpet tight.

Best tool I have. Have had one over 20 years. Used for last 15. I bought it because I was new installer and thought it was cool. Is not better then a big power stretcher in big rooms, but dang close. Only use my kicker to adjust carpet now.
Learning curve to it. My knee was hurting and doing rental apartments, so i decided to start using it. After a few jobs, I loved it.

Does it work setting one wall and stretching it across the room ?

What’s the import and duty tax on that ?

Kneeless is amazing for anytime you would normally need a kicker...sometimes a kicker works especially for bumping your pole stretcher head a bit... everything has its place

This tool is absurdly useful, you aren't understanding the physics of the way carpet stretches on a curve which is why the notches for a kicker are on each side of a power stretcher head, it doesn't stretch in between the heads like your thinking, Peter has a video up on his web site of exactly how it works, I would never walk on a job without this tool, total domination in hallways and closets etc...

Best statement ever( it works but i dont like it) it definatly opens up more problems then it solves

What about the bubble you created behind the stretcher?

I've been doing it since the 80s and I've never used one but I can see that once you master it which shouldn't take long that this could be a very useful and good tool to have in the arsenal

Like your thinking. Shame you can't adjust them on the thing itself.

When stretching a carpet with a conventional knee kicker, why do you recommend a 10 degree angle to the skirting instead of square on? Enjoy your videos! Thanks

Because if you kick square on wall the gripper prevents the carpet to be stretched on side walls if that makes sense. The kneeless is only stretching between both heads.

I've been doing it since 1985
you just want to keep a slight angle on it in the direction that you're going working any potential bubbles into the corner

Why do more people not just stretch wall to wall??

To be fair when it is slipping you are not pressed on the pad or the handle.

Cant understand why it doesn't have the same naps and spikes as a normal stretcher. It might be worth using then.

If you use that stretcher on especially loop pile (Berber) carpet you would damage the surface of the carpet and most likely you replace the Mrs. Jones’ carpet for free and loose your reputation if you have one. Thanks, I would pass on that tool.
