The fighting produced wounded soldiers, and also killed forces from both sides. Weapons of large guns and missiles were used. Buildings and lands were destroyed. Villagers and surrounding residents of the Cambodia and Thailand borders flee the fighting areas.

Khmer,Thai and Laotian are very similar with each other. Our language came from the same source;our old inscriptions written by our ancestors are in Sanskrit and Bali.We share almost the same culture and tradition.We practice the same religion;we would listen to each other's monks with the same respect as we listen to our own monks. I know we can live with harmony together or at least work together.

lao soldier only have about 25,000 mens in todays laos. during that time they had only 10,000. and thats why vietnam has 75,000 soldiers in laos because laos lack the man power in 1986 it was the vietnamese that shot the f16 down and the vietnamese were the one ingage in the battles with the thais. vietnam did most of the work on thai side they had lao kao soldiers fighting while the thai sit back and laugh it wasnt even thais soldier my friend father was lao kao. viet n thais clash in sakeo too
