Sorry to be so off topic but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow forgot my login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me!
@Muhammad Brantley I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I think the overdrive motor system is somewhat under appreciated. There are other kayaks that have a trolling motor but none that incorporate a trolling motor with a pedal system. You can motor to your fishing spot then switch to pedal drive to fish. This is a unique feature which other manufactures should look at. The system however could maybe use some refinement.
Yeppers, I like the idea for those not sure of how much effort it takes to go fishing and to find fish, you have the motor to get you back with the joy of still liking to go out and do it! I also like the lights that were on the other video. Especially if your in the fog, some people don’t know to slow down when your in the channel and your fishing, they speed by like that’s why I got a big , fast boat, race by like I can get between that slow moving boat and that stopped boat quick. Got to be visible and safe on the water.
i just dont understand why manufacturers dont just slap on a cheap but incredibly reliable bafang found on e-bikes, and do a electric-assist pedal. heck, just slap on one of the million e-bike battery packs too, like in a dry bag or something.
I own a Radrunner(RadPowerBikes) and I was literally just thinking the exact same thing! It's very odd that they didn't think of that or didn't/couldn't find a way to make it work!
I'm liking the deck space the Dorado has fore and aft. I wonder if it is possible to carry a lightweight passenger just behind the seat or maybe in front. I weigh 135lbs and my wife weighs 107lbs. I plan on pleasure cruising with pedal power and trying to decide whether to get a tandem like the Lure II with a single drive unit and have even more space with one seat removed for camping gear when I go out solo or the spacious single Dorado. I doubt if my wife will come out very often. But you never know.
I think I'll get the Feelfree 11.5 v2 and put a 65 # thrust trolling motor on it That thing is loud. I'll be calling soon not to soon but soon I'm still looking but I'm almost sold on Feelfree love the lay out. Thanks!
65 is pointless. It still won't do over 4 mph no matter what trolling motor. Not enough prop pitch or rpm from a trolling motor. Youle just burn more juice quicker. I have a 30lb on my ll.5 lure. That's about the hual speed thier a barge. I have a 2,1/2hp outboard pushes it about 5 to 7 mph depending on water condition. I use mostly in the bay. Just buy a hobbie. I bought the lure to blowfish off of because of its stability and deck layout. I've used the hobbie outback multiple times. Its better at everything maybe a little less secondary stability but that's it
I do love the feel free fleet. But they really need to work on that motor sound. It's really loud. I run my Oldtown Top water 120 pdl, and just received my new J2 Bixpy PP 768. I also purchased the Bixpy gravity rudder. Can't wait to feel the extra power that bigger battery puts out. 😎 🎣 🛶
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟Questions. 1. What's the range can the system go, at let say 50% throttle? 2. Can you show the bottom side of the kayak. 3. How many hours does the battery last from a full charge? 4. Do they have like the pedal assist electric kayaks like ebikes do? 5.What's the price of this electric kayak? Thanks. I am into ebike cycling from just a year ago. I am enjoying the benefits. Plan to get a Merida pedal kayak soon to combine with my fishing hobby. Good video.
If it wasn't so damn expensive I'd buy one for my overdrive. Hopefully in the next few years used ones will pop up. People buy things and then realize they won't use it and then sell it.
Has your kayak got a wheel .. if so, would this wheel be suitable for transporting the kayak, perhaps from a car-park to the water ... Or is it really just for beach use. ? It seems a very useful feature with the Feelfree kayaks, I’m surprised other manufacturers don’t adopt this idea.
Thanks for the video. Are you planning any further tests of the Dorado? If you are, how about giving some ranges at 100% and 66% throttle with battery options . Paddle ability? Top speed vs cruising speed with motorhead unit. Turning radius of Dorado at high speed and slow speeds. What transducers are compatible with this kayak? It looks like it’s side scan compatible as well as possibly 360 transducer ready. Any feedback is appreciated. So many questions with so little space. Thanks
Mark Massa yes I’d love to get more in depth. This was a total throw together video that I squeezed in to get some info out on the motor. I’d like to do a much more detailed video at some point.
Thanks for the review. Liked and subscribed. This has been out for a bit now, how have first impressions held up? Do you think this kayak would perform well in the bays and marshes of South Texas? I'm hunting for my first pedal/motor propelled kayak and this model caught my attention.
I love my feelfree lure 13.5 but I think I would have went with the native and torqueedo. My lure 13.5 with a 65lb Haswing brushless trolling motor is so much quieter than those...
Looking at your prices, I see the Dorado retails for 3k dollars. Once you add the motor drive and other accessories like basic rigging. What is the cost? In addition, do you ship to Canada or do you have Canadian retailers who ship?
What is the price on it? I keep seeing it sold without the motor. Does it come in a complete package? And how much? I'm pretty new to kayak fishing but really like this set up. Thanks ,and you make great reviews.
My overdrive motor system cuts out after about 20 minutes of use regardless of how2 fast I am going. The battery still has plenty of juice in it still but thed moter cuts out. Do I have a short in the power pack? Please help
for myself, wow that is a loud drive. maybe a deal kill. KILLER BOAT ! but the loud gear drive might need some re - working from FEEL FREE. nice concept tho.
I agree. I think this setup is pretty cool don't get me wrong. It would be perfect for the river or a small lake fishing. But daymm you can buy a decent real boat for the price of this lump of plastic. Prob be like 2k just for the little motor. that's a nice lil outboaed or trolling motor.
ok for the same price as the dorado with peddle drive I can get an old town predator minn-kota...why should someone choose a Dorado over the predator Minn-Kota
2999 for the Dorado, another 1400 for the motor. That's MSRP, you might be able to swing a discount. I got my own Dorado at 10% off, without the motor drive.
Super heavy and expensive Kayak. I have been looking at lighter Kayaks because I don't want to spend so much time loading and unloading. The LT Slayer is nice there is another now really cheap and light the Riot brand of Kayaks there really wide as well. Anyone else know of a light weight pedal kayak?
Thanks for the video! Love your reviews. That's really loud! Very disappointed by that. I know it might just be the mic(s) and this video, but wow. Personally, I went with a Field & Stream Shadowcaster 123 (also manufactured by same company as Feelfree) and a "built-in" Island Hopper Outboard 55# trolling motor (installed all the wiring and batteries in the hull), and I'm starting to feel pretty good about that decision. MUCH quieter, faster top speed (on only a slightly lighter boat), literally less than half the total price, and yet a very similar kayak in terms of deck space, design, and function. The only thing I don't have is the pedals, but where I fish if I can't use the motor, then I wouldn't be able to use the pedal drive either. Really like the Feelfree line of kayaks tho, and if the Shadowcaster didn't exist, I would've probably opened the wallet more for a Lure. I really like the idea of the Dorado, but it almost requires the motor, and they clearly have some improvements they need to make before I'd buy that.
The factory must start building helical cut gears NOW!!!!!!! 😡😡😡😈😈😈😠😠😠 Straight cut gears to save money what a bunch of garbage.. For the last 60 years all machinists know that helical gears are the best quiet. Disappointed we are. And use rubber cushions on the mounting points to deaden sound vibrations. Its not your fault you didn't build it. I will not invest my money into one until they fix it. Sorry. You did a great job on the video . Thanks for being truthful. I really wanted a feelfree I'm sad now 😕😢
Kayak? PMSL! Once you put a motor on board it's no longer a kayak. Bad enough having pedal power and not paddles. People have forgotten what kayak is or means. Soon it will be turbine powered or nuclear powered. What else? LMAO!

@Muhammad Brantley It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. I am so happy!

@Wallace Julian No problem :D

Torqeedo is loud! bixpy too, the diff it is that you mostly set them up on the stern,
Loud... it'll scare away the 🦈 at least ? Sounds like a jet engine building thrust 🤣
That durado is the best looking kayak out, I’ll stick w my pa14 for now but I like it

Ive decided that you guys need to open a 2nd store over here in New England. Nice review. That dorado is so damn cool...
YEAAAAA SOON KAYAKS RACES !!! I READY !! nice video bro thanks !!
That motor drive is sure loud!!
Maybe you could do a video on what it takes to register a motorized kayak in California.

Here's an idea 💡!
Y'all should open a store in Colorado next!
Coulda been fun, but we shut down our retail operation in 2020. Unlikely that we’ll go down that route again.
Great gear and look forward to see video on upgrades on Titan

how bout a review on an old town predator pdl

Need a solar panel on the rear to keep the battery charged up.

man one day we gonna do some yak races lol
i ready !!!
When peddling does it put charge back into battery 🤔

It's great for parking lots/ grass. Very useful feature for sure

What are the dimensions on the durado and weight capacity?
If using overdrive motor how long the battery can last?
Did you ever find out?
awesome review, how stabil it is compare to Old Town Predator 13 on little choppy ocean mate?
Thanks for the review. Liked and subscribed. This has been out for a bit now, how have first impressions held up? Do you think this kayak would perform well in the bays and marshes of South Texas? I'm hunting for my first pedal/motor propelled kayak and this model caught my attention.
super cool, hello from France. How long last the batterie , how do we reload it ?
I love my feelfree lure 13.5 but I think I would have went with the native and torqueedo. My lure 13.5 with a 65lb Haswing brushless trolling motor is so much quieter than those...
I want to know ...
Are there kayak por two people Dorado 125.?

I did a search and the price of the yak is $3000 USD with out the motor and the price of just the motor is $1260
@@bobbyg6662 Thank you.
Wow that noise is a deal breaker
God its loud
What does a custom built Dorado look like?
My overdrive motor system cuts out after about 20 minutes of use regardless of how2 fast I am going. The battery still has plenty of juice in it still but thed moter cuts out. Do I have a short in the power pack? Please help
Let feellfree know, they will help, and have awesome customer service!
Is the Feel Free Dorado suitable for off shore use.
Its "Eddie from the Launch" haha
That's me bro lol, we have to get together and hit the water some day fam.
@@eddiewilliams7755 Lets get some going, im done... keep it touch broham
for myself, wow that is a loud drive. maybe a deal kill. KILLER BOAT ! but the loud gear drive might need some re - working from FEEL FREE. nice concept tho.
carlos goulart try it first. It’s not as bad as the video sounds.
What if dorado with motor vs titan with minkotta motor? Using the special attachment
being that there is a motor on this does this have to be registered?
depending on the state, yes.
I agree. I think this setup is pretty cool don't get me wrong. It would be perfect for the river or a small lake fishing. But daymm you can buy a decent real boat for the price of this lump of plastic. Prob be like 2k just for the little motor. that's a nice lil outboaed or trolling motor.

Any dorado coming yet?
Sunny Do yup unloaded 16 yesterday. All colors in stock and selling out fast again. 4 in the past two days.
how much does the motor dirve cost to add it?
Bravo Bassin $1399
thanks looks pretty cool and very functional and much cleaner set up.
A rowboat with a trolling motor instead.
Will the Lure pick up more speed with the motor head since its lighter than the Dorado?
Time will tell. We are rigging one with a motor as we speak, so I'll let you know.
Thank you!
Is the dorado as stable as the titan 12?
Herb Jackson it’s defiantly more stable
One question how much??
2999 for the Dorado, another 1400 for the motor. That's MSRP, you might be able to swing a discount. I got my own Dorado at 10% off, without the motor drive.

boston2662 it’s loud but the video made it seem louder than it was.
way too loud. sounds like geared weren't cut well or need lubrication not well designed. thanks for sharing
👍🏻💯💯💯💯
Seems one would require a backup lithium battery for an all day fishing excursion . It is noisy, sounds like a Toy car.
Thanks for the video! Love your reviews. That's really loud! Very disappointed by that. I know it might just be the mic(s) and this video, but wow.

It sound like my jig saw too noisy for me.For what they charge it needs to be refined. Too bad it’s a good concept but poorly thought out

Way too loud for fishing in my opinion. Stick to pedals or paddle
