Hardest part of Networking would be the start, learning what to say to who and having to remember the key details that matter, while forgetting the ones that wont. Every conversation has to have logical attacks to the person so they will become intrigued, and actually listen.
Very good. This reminds me of a story. I, a networking veteran (but can always use a brush up) was at an event and I saw a young, shy person standing alone in a corner with a drink in his hand at a networking/seminar event. I went over to speak to him. It turns out he was a school teacher, more interested in the seminar as he had to prepare a lesson plan on the topic. But it turns out, he was a teacher at the very high school I attended! That really livened up the conversation and, eventually, I gave a lecture on one of the topics in his class a few months later!
Personally, I absolutely agree with the fact that networking is now one of the most important areas in building relationships. If you don't know how to interact with people, then why are you building a business, for example? As the author said, this is a really cool opportunity when you are offered some startups, positions simply because of getting to know you, because once during a conversation you told them about yourself. And you don't have to wait for luck in money, career, etc., if you don't communicate with anyone
I guess im randomly asking but does any of you know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I somehow lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me
@Khalil Diego I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. I see it takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Awesome! What is the trick he mentioned at 12.49 to look up someone's name if he forgets it? I have re-listened to it several times but can't understand it?
I think he mentioned that based on the conversation hints, he would search people on LinkedIn to find out their names, anyways since he mentioned that he reminds them their previous conversations
For example, add them on social media. Or get their business card. Or have a QR code on your phone. When they scan your QR code, they got all your contacts and social media handles
Well, yes, I think all those points do make sense, and this guy knows what he is talking about, but… those thoughts really are common and hackneyed. Nothing new here for me, unfortunately.
Brilliant, open, and warm. Thank you, Andrew, and Godspeed to you.
3 years later and this has never been more valuable

How do you keep the people you run into?
For example, add them on social media. Or get their business card. Or have a QR code on your phone. When they scan your QR code, they got all your contacts and social media handles
