Honestly I found myself relating to the insecurities around being feminine with Miyano. I also related to consuming BL before I even knew I liked other men. I was scared it was going to be like other BL animes as well with having abuse or straight up assault be depicted as romantic, but seeing it's just some nerdy guy who's discovering himself and has a close friend who is discovering himself and they discover the feelings they have at each other was nice. I do have criticism, but overall it was just nice to see someone I related to on screen.
It's so interesting to read this! While there was a lot I could relate to in Sasaki To Miyano, that was one thing I just couldn't comment on, so it's great to hear about the experiences of somebody who can, thanks for sharing 🙌
@@heysaladdaze I think maybe being trans is what helps me relate even more to the whole "Does he like me for me or just because he sees me as feminine?" Thing that Miyano experiences. And hearing that Sasaki will continue to like him even if Miyano becomes more traditionally masculine reminded me of how good it would have felt to hear that from my ex who responded negatively when I expressed my transition goals.
@@comonhaze8940 Oh for sure, I can see how you could relate! Sorry to hear you had to deal with those experiences in the past though, I hope you're doing well these days :)
Honestly I really like the show it was my first BL show that I watched(alongside with my friends) I love how cute and wholesome it is, I hope we can see more wholesome bl in the future
i really wish there was a yuri that is just as wholesome as this show is. ( and nearly as diabetic making as this couple are). this couple does such an amazing job, sasaki always waits for mya to give clear consent which in most bl is rare to see. their relationship is wholesome and develops quite naturally. I also very much enjoyed seeing how mya deal with his feelings as it honestly gives such a realistic (at least for how i felt when i had my first crush on another woman) questioning phase and trying to figure it all out. ah im so starved for wholesome healthy queer relationships in media. i also adored the scenes of the supportive family of i forgot his name but a side character, ( the coming out with the siblings) finding out they weren't alone, and i loved the development of the side character coming to terms to his brothers coming out as he was worried that they would end up in bad relationships, but watching mya and sasaki he trusts that it will go okay for his siblings as well. i love how supportive all of the friends were. for a bl this show si heaven send compared to others due to how rampent nonconsensual bl ( or really any queer media) can be most of the time.
I had the exact same thought about Yuri anime, I feel like we're so far behind with it at this current time! Though maybe one day soon we can finally get something similar 🤞
@@heysaladdaze adachi to shimamura is quite good, so is bloom into you , for yuris i have read but i think they are a little bit pushy. but worth a try!
I've heard good things about the currently ongoing [Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei]. There also seems to be more yuri anime coming soon.
I've been obsessing over this series for the past couple of months and it's one that I am so happy came into my life. I related a lot to Miyano bc as a trans man who is also short and dealt with having more feminine features(altho thats changed bc hormones), it can be difficult to feel like you dont fulfill the role that youre expected of as a man. But I adored the way in which Sasaki makes Miyano not only incredibly happy but so comfortable being himself. I also liked how Miyano had his own ways of showing Sasaki that he loved him, the emotional maturity was incredible to see and now he has someone who will always love him and be his best friend. On the flip side Miyano became someone Sasaki really cared about and brought so much excitement and joy into his life, and while he got into BL initially to learn about Miyano's interests(still so pure i love it), it was so cool to see Sasaki be genuinely interested in the stories he was reading and want to have meaningful conversations about. Man i want them to be happy forever they deserve it
They really deserve the best! I loved reading this, I think it's the first BL I've seen in ages (ever?) that has offered such positive representation, that many can relate to :)
This show is one of my favorite slice of life queer animes! I have seen clips of other BLs, and to be frank, they usually disturbed me. But this one was so adorable and I really liked the whole part of Sasaki always making sure Moyano was alright with him touching him a little. Plus addressing his jealousy. It’s refreshing after seeing how most BLs tend to come off sexualized or rated R. As an adolescent myself I do relate to some of the the characters problems. One of which is Saski who feels bad when he assumes he did something wrong (though Moyano didn’t want to be kissed or always making sure he is alright). I do those things a lot because I care about people in my life and always feel guilt when I think I did something wrong to them. It’s nice to see this type of thing in a BL
I thought it was super cool that when Miyano was doing the drag performance for the festival that Sasaki was not really for it. Because he knew how self conscious Miyano was about how feminine his appearance was, he didn't want this experience to make miyano even more uncomfortable. Which I so appreciated! This story was just so cute and adorable and I wish that there were more seasons to explore their relationship further. That's something I quite frequently get frustrated about is when the show only explores the characters growing to like each other and then stopping once they actually get together and never exploring their relationship after that. I feel like it's a wasted opportunity to show how to have a healthy relationship for the people who watch anime. Because sometimes, we're the kind of people who don't really have a lot of friends and don't go out much and all that we really have is the Internet and anime/manga. So I think it would be a good idea to show these kinds of healthy non-toxic relationships past the point when they begin. Idk, just my opinion, still a great show though, wish there was more... 😞
I think, "Sasaki to Miyano" perfectly show first love in general. Its inosence and pureness. Fears and confusion that can came with that. The way lovers try to understand feelings they experiencing. In one episode Miyano asked his friend "what love feels like?" or "what is love?" and I remembered myself asking the same questions to my friends who was or is in a romance relationship. I do need to say that I didn't experienced love or "having-a-crush" myself yet, but I can relate to confusion Miyano had while tried to understand his feelings towards Sasaki. In fact, I was having same thoughts as Miyano, when I started watching this anime. So I'm confident in saying that Miyanos confusion felt real to me.
I love how the title works in both English and Japanese. I’m Japanese it just means “Sasaki and Miyano” but in English the title has a whole new meaning.
Sasaki to Miyano is one of my favourite anime/mangas ever, but I honestly love the spinoff Hirano to Kagiura even more, when I was watching the Sasaki to Miyano movie and it started off with Hirano to Kagiura, it literally made my whole day 😭
Completely agree, Sasaki is the most endearing boyfriend ever and unlike a lot of other relationships, he and Miyano actually give each other space to grow. They're best friends first with secrets and trust, before becoming partners. They're the healthiest gay relationship I've seen in a very long time in Anime or Manga. The manga also doesn't fall into tropes or consent issues, it's just them trying to figure out how to make a real relationship work, too, with cute things that you could imagine doing with your own partner. Still, they're in the high school stage of a relationship, so it's very pure. I know the creator is planning on a college-era manga continuation, so no one knows what will happen when Miyano gets into college. Will he be living with Sasaki or in a dorm? Miyano doesn't strike me as a cheater, nor does Sasaki, but there are other drama in a relationship beyond just another person. If they can maintain this maturity though, they'll be able to weather the storm.
This video and comments said it- but also, the fact that the dub is blatantly obvious in that the voice actors are having a lot of fun and non-stereotype voices for the characters to make them seem like they’re just real people living their life (not to mention unforgettable quotes that wouldn’t be the same without the context of all the characters’ relationship with each other and the voice acting). It’s just a great anime in general that I would be happy to rewatch whenever I’m in need of something not so intense (I think we all need a break from war arcs) This anime is getting a one-way ticket to “Things to watch when u need a break list” along with Saiki k :D forgive my grammar I’ll fix it if I spot any mistakes TvT
It really is such a pleasant watch. I can relate to miyano, just as a girl with a love for GL lol. This anime was very cute and made me squeal several times from how adorable it was.
ugghhhhh i love this show sm i’m not even gonna lie. It’s such a wholesome show, and was a nice easy watch after the countless darker anime I finished. I’ve always been iffy about BL anime and content in general, because as you said in the video, there’s definitely some damaging tropes and ideas in BL usually, but the scores on MAL looks promising enough, and the art looked nice, so I gave it a shot. I am so glad I did. The steady development of their relationship was such a treat to witness, I too am still figuring myself out, so watching Miyano struggle with that throughout the anime was oddly comforting in a way. Miyano’s insecurities about his face were pretty relatable for myself too. Even though Sasaki has a few ‘problematic’ traits, like his possessiveness over Miyano, I love that he’s a genuinely loving person, who never intends to harm Miyano in any way and just wants to see him happy. Their love is so pure and innocent it makes me wanna cry. I’m tempted to go read the manga tbh >_
I think that Sasaki's possessiveness is quite on point because it shows that none of them is flawless. Usually, when you fall in love with someone you tend to be a little possessive over the person you love, but not in an excessive way. I think this show portrays this little feel of possession in the best way ever. All that I said is from my own experience cuz I also have been a little possessive over my love interest, but not in a harmful way and she didn't even notice that. Those were some thoughts that were in my mind at that time
If you haven't yet, would highly recommend watching Cherry Magic - another BL anime that also isn't creepy and has a bit more substance in my opinion, and it's also centred around adults in an office job which is a nice change from all the highschool romances we often get
Had the exact same reaction. It was so sweet it made me miss being young and in love. And, made me want to go out of my house lol. Loved your review. 😊
I doubt you've gone this long without this recommendation... but a PERFECT pallet-cleansing show is Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid. It is pure, unadulterated joy, sweetness and kindness.
I Love this, its with horimiya and wotaku my only romance I actually enjoy! Im ARO but I LOVE this Story! I even read the Manga! (It was great! The spinoff about hirano and His roomate is also pure Sugar) I dont get Jealous? A Lot of people felt lonely watching this? Why? I Just enjoy this Story! Im dying Off diabetes
im not familiar with aromantics but a lot of people feel envious of sasamiya's relationship because they also want what they have (and there's nothing wrong with that). When a story invoke you with feelings of envy, its a really good story. It means the characters and their relationships are what you perceive as ideal and something you would like to experience for yourself
I absolutely love Sasaki and Miyano! I can't wait for the OVA coming this July, and I certainly can't wait for season 2 that'll probably be here by the end of THIS YEAR! 😍😍😍
i really liked this show because for once the characters actually kiss. i also like how they become boyfriends in the end. Lastly i really like how open the Sasaki is to Miyano about his feelings.
I loved watching this video! Hearing you talking about this show got me all smiley! And I was wondering, have you watched Heaven Official's Blessing? It's BEAUTIFUL, and the romance between the two main guy characters is so sweet and had me smiling so hard. The story is so interesting too! I blazed through the 13 episodes in one night. It's on Netflix, and I think you might enjoy it!
@@heysaladdaze That makes me happy to hear! From what I’ve heard, we seem to have similar opinions on shows we’ve watched, so I immediately thought to recommend you this anime (technically a “donghua” because it was made in China). It comes from novel series, and its genres are fantasy (based in Chinese and Taoism mythology), action, and romance. The donhua is unfinished, but the first season ends on such a perfect note that I felt very satisfied (and apparently the 2nd season comes out this year). There’s also a GORGEOUS (And I do mean GORGEOUS) manga of it. Stunningly detailed artwork. If you check it out, you’ll see what I mean. Sorry to make you my victim by talking your ear off- I discovered the series very recently and am still buzzing with that new excitement. It was very exciting to find more queer representation Also! I’ve been watching your other videos and enjoying them very much! The beach episode deep dive was very interesting! And the history of queer representation in anime made me so frustrated because wow, summed up like that you can really see how little (and shitty) representation the community has been given. I’m excited to check out your other videos too!
@@user-hw8hn1wr7t I totally get it though, it so exciting when you find something new! you've definitely got me interested in it now, I'll going to give it a go Thanks so much, I'm really glad you're enjoying my videos, I've been a little all over the place with what I post lately but I'm really enjoying sharing anime content, so it's great to hear you've enjoyed it!
1:28 Yeah but imagine watching Sasano and Miyano right after devilman crybaby, it would be despair cuz they would give you this soft romantic feeling. That means at the least i would cry thinking about what Ryo and Akira could've been 😭
I love sasasaki to miyano and i watched given after (given had me sobbing but like ) but sasaki and miyano was full of tooth rotting fluff Also my favourite character is hirano and the artsyle is so cute ughghugb
The thing that makes this not just a good bl anime, but also a good romance anime is that you could switch the identities, sexualities, race and more, and the story would still be wholesome and make sense. It has BL elements, but doesn't use it as a crutch for the characters
Time to shelve this as one of my favourite BL anime: Sekaiichi Hatsukoi(my first BL anime, so holds a special place) Junjou Romantica Umibe no Étranger Spirit Pact Yuri on Ice Dakaichi Given And now: Sasaki and Miyano
i love it, and i relate. Also the coded sexuality (as in sex) that it''s has leads to the perfect "teen" love, where things exist but are not important as they're understanding themselves and each other and the importance of taking their time
I burned through this in one night, surprised at how well it was designed, very tender interactions, and when I thought a cliche was going to happen it didn't and blew my mind.
I absolutely love this story! And yes it took Miyano way too damn long to realize his feelings for Sasaki, smh. But besides that it was just so sweet that I couldn't stop watching it. And I actually wanted to see more of what happens afterwards, but unfortunately it ended. And I've watched that ending several times...🥰
I'm so fucking obsessed with this series and I love these two idiots so much, so I had to read the manga. My god it gets better 😭 Amazing video and analysis, really nice!
saski to miyano is actually one of my favourite yaois its very similar to horimiya and its very fluffy and cute also i never had that phase where i questioned if it was right, if im going to be honest, i did like a guy but i never ever thought if it was wrong, or if it was admiration or a crush i just skipped to the realisation stage HAHAHA
I love this series so much I had read the manga and I was really excited for the anime and I made my friends watched it too (they loved it) and I want it to get more popular Heartstopper is another great comic to read (but there is more angst) and it's getting a TV show on a Friday Also it's so visually pretty I love the flowers and lights
The way you explained being nostalgic about how it felt to crush on someone... i had the same sentiments when i watched it & i too thought if i was too old to experience it again😂, but I have hope! incredibly sweet anime🥰
I actually like watching anime in English dubbed, and I have not seen the second season yet of sasaki to Miyano yet ❤❤❤❤ and I love it so far and I can’t wait for season two.
I’d really like to see the “forbidden love” aspect completely eradicated from a yaoi, but maybe that’s just me? It still feels like it’s a toxic part of bl and having a character just accept that their queer in some way would be a nice change of pace
I'd say relationship wise it really is the perfect BL. I just tend to prefer a bit more plot and/or action along with my romance, the lack of which makes it a less then perfect *show* in my eyes, despite the relationships themselves being so fantastic. I really hope others in the future are inspired to write more plot centric queer romances that take the sweet, loving and consensual aspects of Sasaki to Miyano to heart! Queer characters banding together to beat the odds, while *also* falling in love, is my jam! Struggling to determine the specifics of their feelings, while still knowing with certainty they will *always* be each other's friends and defenders, is just so perfect! ♥
i dunno if its said on here in the comments yet but hirano has his own side manga (no anime yet tho its in the sasaki and miyano movie coming out in 2023) with his roommate called "hirano and kagiura" if you want more hirano then i say give that a shot : D
I love Sasaki to Miyano it is so cute adorable and wholesome and the manga is also very nice and I loved it and I wish new volume comes out and can't wait for the next movie and spin off to come out
I really really want to see more media like this, as an ace person I prefer romance that's healthy and wholesome and was so disappointed with what I encountered when I first tried to watch BL. The first one I technically watched was Yuri on Ice, but everyone was at the time. Later on, I tried Given, but many of the other recommendations I got were not for me. I really want to see more healthy queer stories, not just from western media, but also in a non-western lens and I'm just not sure where to go for it. It doesn't have to be all BL, or romance, either, I'll take anything that's outside the hereo-norm, preferably nothing explicitly sexual. I'd love to see more stuff like Sasaki to Miyano or the better parts of Given. Seeing how well they've been recieved gives me a tonne of hope.
Tbh I like wholesome queer anime / series and Sasaki and Miyano or Heartstopper, but some queer stuff now it just scared to be problematic (or just darker) in any way, so it's not tipping into a more complex relationship beyond two cute highschool twinks. 😅 Explored danmei novels and anime like Banana Fish.
i lovvvved this anime BUT the one thing i was so confused/alarmed about was the scene when miyano is trying on girls' outfits for the school festival and sasaki walked in and starts acting posessive or ... i don't even know. it was difficult to read what emotions were going on, it felt like it was relying on assumptions of genre tropes that i didn't know very well, like there was a subtext where everyone was assuming of course sasaki would/should be mad that miyano is going to dress up as a girl. especially the way miyano was acting kind of guilty and said he might decide not to dress up as a girl for the festival contest if it's what sasaki wanted, and sasaki acts kind of touched by this? but then realizes he's crossing a line (thank god!). it just rubbed me the wrong way, not that it's wrong to show sasaki having a sudden emotional reaction to this at all, but because it kind of assumed a subtext that it's reasonable to feel that miyano dressing up as a girl for a contest is not ok? or at least, their actions and dialogue didn't really make sense otherwise. idk was i the only one who thought this? haha... but ultimately i DID like how the show used sasaki's moments of sort of bordering on the aggressive BL trope, because he feels the impulse, and then talks himself through that it's not caring or respectful to do that and doesn't do it. which is so lovely! and realistic! and miyano's issues with looking like a girl also, and how he grows to feel comfortable enough to dress up as a girl for his class and to not have it mean something because of how supportive sasaki has been.
The reason he doesn’t want miyano dressing up is explained. He says it’s because he felt miyano didn’t really want to do it because of his insecurities about being called pretty and that he was letting his friends pressure him into it. Miyano said that sasaki helped made him secure in his feelings towards his own looks and that’s why he wants to do the dress up.
@@Xx-hn8cy i guess that's how they explain it on a surface level, but there are so many other cues that seemed to say something more complicated. i'm not saying that this shouldn't be part of a story, but definitely makes it feel decidedly unwholesome. at least i think if reviewers are presenting this as a "wholesome queer anime" this should be a caveat. and i love this anime, and have rewatched several times. but when i'm watching for comfort definitely skip that scene. lack of sex does not equal wholesome
Why is that first video of Sasaki and Miyano where I saw my thoughts about this title like “Oh thanks god here no typical BL tropes”? I’m really disappointed about in Russian TH-cam we’ve no one who talks about that. Everyone just joking “Hah that’s gay” and all (Sorry for bad English 😅)
Can someone tell me where i can watch this?! Pls. 🥺. I have seen so many clips from this anime that made me want to watch more. The art style looks so nice too. Please someone tell me where I can find this!

@@heysaladdaze someday we will get more quality healthy queer representation in media 😮💨
@@heysaladdaze adachi to shimamura is quite good, so is bloom into you , for yuris i have read but i think they are a little bit pushy. but worth a try!
Have you ever heard of Kase-san and Morning Glories? That series only has an OVA animated, but the manga is super wholesome
I've heard good things about the currently ongoing [Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei].
There also seems to be more yuri anime coming soon.
It’s so pretty is literally the reason I started watching
haha same :') I was reeled in by too many beautiful gifs!
It's definitely refreshing! I hope we can see more like this in the future :)
The weaponisation of the "shoujo sparkles" is my favourite bit of visual storytelling in this whole show. Especially the flowers in episode 12 .
"Look ...orange BOY !!" is truly the funniest line for me today 🤣
I'm inlove with this show. I can't seem to name any more healthy, non-toxic trope animes aside this
It really is such a pleasant watch.
The spinoff about hirano and His roomate is also pure Sugar)
I dont get Jealous? A Lot of people felt lonely watching this? Why? I Just enjoy this Story!
Im dying Off diabetes
im not familiar with aromantics but a lot of people feel envious of sasamiya's relationship because they also want what they have (and there's nothing wrong with that). When a story invoke you with feelings of envy, its a really good story. It means the characters and their relationships are what you perceive as ideal and something you would like to experience for yourself
@@OwlCity447 I can Imagine 🤣🤣
I absolutely love Sasaki and Miyano! I can't wait for the OVA coming this July, and I certainly can't wait for season 2 that'll probably be here by the end of THIS YEAR! 😍😍😍
if you're interested in hirano's life , there is a spin off about him and his roomate.
I remember Jenna Marbles describing that gay experience as
"Do I wanna be her or do I wanna be on her?"
i really liked this show because for once the characters actually kiss. i also like how they become boyfriends in the end.
Thank you! I haven't watched Heavens Official Blessing, it sounds really interesting, I'll be sure to check it out, thanks for telling me about it! :)
It was very exciting to find more queer representation
Also! I’ve been watching your other videos and enjoying them very much! The beach episode deep dive was very interesting! And the history of queer representation in anime made me so frustrated because wow, summed up like that you can really see how little (and shitty) representation the community has been given. I’m excited to check out your other videos too!
@@user-hw8hn1wr7t I totally get it though, it so exciting when you find something new! you've definitely got me interested in it now, I'll going to give it a go
Thanks so much, I'm really glad you're enjoying my videos, I've been a little all over the place with what I post lately but I'm really enjoying sharing anime content, so it's great to hear you've enjoyed it!
1:05 🤣 orange boy= given 🤣 no but this anime is so wholesome and I love it it is amazing

Yeah but imagine watching Sasano and Miyano right after devilman crybaby, it would be despair cuz they would give you this soft romantic feeling. That means at the least i would cry thinking about what Ryo and Akira could've been 😭
Aw now I'm sad about Devilman Crybaby all over again ;_;
@@heysaladdaze it's inevitable. It was the torture we signed up for when we started watching (O-Q)
I love sasasaki to miyano and i watched given after (given had me sobbing but like ) but sasaki and miyano was full of tooth rotting fluff
Also my favourite character is hirano and the artsyle is so cute ughghugb
The thing that makes this not just a good bl anime, but also a good romance anime is that you could switch the identities, sexualities, race and more, and the story would still be wholesome and make sense. It has BL elements, but doesn't use it as a crutch for the characters
Oof I just found and watched your bratz video (loved it) and I gotta say your channel is very interesting. Time to binge :)
Thanks! There's definitely a bit of everything on here at the moment haha - enjoy! 🙌
I feel like a happy penguin seeing more and more people talking about my sweethearts 🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️
Oh gosh, I love this anime
Bro, this show is so cuteeee
I wish we had more time showing their relationshippp 😭😭😭
YES! Is what wee need and finally received! I want more BLs like this omg
Time to shelve this as one of my favourite BL anime:
Sekaiichi Hatsukoi(my first BL anime, so holds a special place)
Junjou Romantica
Umibe no Étranger
Spirit Pact
Yuri on Ice
Dakaichi
Given
And now: Sasaki and Miyano
The English dub is gold.
This anime is just the sweetest, period. For good reasons too
First BL I've watched... and damn, I was smiling the whole time, its so pure, inocent, sweet... I Love Sasaki and Miyano
i love it, and i relate. Also the coded sexuality (as in sex) that it''s has leads to the perfect "teen" love, where things exist but are not important as they're understanding themselves and each other and the importance of taking their time
I fanboy scream at this anime and now it's in English and ARGHHHHHH *HEAVY BREATHING*
Who needs therapy when you have this!
This BL anime is beyond expectations! I wish for season 2!
5:35 I couldnt help but to think when tashiro was under the box 🤭
I'm so fucking obsessed with this series and I love these two idiots so much, so I had to read the manga. My god it gets better 😭
Amazing video and analysis, really nice!
Me, reading the essays in the comments
Wondering how the hell a random really cute bl made people philosophers:
saski to miyano is actually one of my favourite yaois
its very similar to horimiya and its very fluffy and cute
also i never had that phase where i questioned if it was right, if im going to be honest, i did like a guy but i never ever thought if it was wrong, or if it was admiration or a crush
i just skipped to the realisation stage HAHAHA
I love this series so much
I had read the manga and I was really excited for the anime and I made my friends watched it too (they loved it) and I want it to get more popular
Heartstopper is another great comic to read (but there is more angst) and it's getting a TV show on a Friday
Also it's so visually pretty I love the flowers and lights
hope we get more shows like this, I'm also tired that most of the queer anime is full of toxic tropes. this is healing to watch
They’re making a season 2!
_SK8_ is also getting a Season 2. So happy.
The way you explained being nostalgic about how it felt to crush on someone... i had the same sentiments when i watched it & i too thought if i was too old to experience it again😂, but I have hope!
incredibly sweet anime🥰
I love this show so much. I related so much that it's not even funny. It was adorable.
One of my Fave BL so wholesome fluff , now too much spicy content..just pure romantic development we NEED MORE OF THIS...
its my comfort anime now, and I watch the dub to get a few laughs loll, I heard hirano and kagiura is getting an ova soon, cant wait ^^
I just watched this today and it's AMAZING!
sasaki and miyano is the most perfect BL anime soo far
I actually like watching anime in English dubbed, and I have not seen the second season yet of sasaki to Miyano yet ❤❤❤❤ and I love it so far and I can’t wait for season two.
Sasaki and Miyano is the best feel good BL in my book!
I’d really like to see the “forbidden love” aspect completely eradicated from a yaoi, but maybe that’s just me? It still feels like it’s a toxic part of bl and having a character just accept that their queer in some way would be a nice change of pace
This is so me this is one of the few romance I likes that’s not a fantasy genre
sasaki to miyano is perfect, absolutely perfect
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes dark anime like Tokyo ghoul, mirri Nikki, and jjk but likes to clear my head by watching a nice shojo anime ☺️
"The hideous reality that I'm almost 30, single and never go outside" lmao.. it me 😭
I'd say relationship wise it really is the perfect BL.
Wooo my favourite ship 😍 and my first time watching bl anime 😃
Seeing how well they've been recieved gives me a tonne of hope.
just you wait until Hirano to Kagiura comes out 👀
Tbh I like wholesome queer anime / series and Sasaki and Miyano or Heartstopper, but some queer stuff now it just scared to be problematic (or just darker) in any way, so it's not tipping into a more complex relationship beyond two cute highschool twinks. 😅
Explored danmei novels and anime like Banana Fish.
I'm so sad this and given were the first bls I've seen, I have NO idea how anything else could compare D':::
❤i absolutely love sasaki to Miyano and Yuri on ice. ❤it’s super cute as heck. 😊
I highly recommend the dub it really funny and cute too
The “to” is romanised Japanese pronounced slightly differently to English and meaning “and” not to but that’s just my tiny nitpick :)
I needed to read and watch this!
there is cgi??? I didnt even notice it
couldn't agree, the show is just what I need
it always manages to make me feel happy watching it
If I met Miya I would just tell him that im a fudanshi too and we would read BL together (in a non-relationship way)
i lovvvved this anime BUT the one thing i was so confused/alarmed about was the scene when miyano is trying on girls' outfits for the school festival and sasaki walked in and starts acting posessive or ... i don't even know. it was difficult to read what emotions were going on, it felt like it was relying on assumptions of genre tropes that i didn't know very well, like there was a subtext where everyone was assuming of course sasaki would/should be mad that miyano is going to dress up as a girl. especially the way miyano was acting kind of guilty and said he might decide not to dress up as a girl for the festival contest if it's what sasaki wanted, and sasaki acts kind of touched by this? but then realizes he's crossing a line (thank god!). it just rubbed me the wrong way, not that it's wrong to show sasaki having a sudden emotional reaction to this at all, but because it kind of assumed a subtext that it's reasonable to feel that miyano dressing up as a girl for a contest is not ok? or at least, their actions and dialogue didn't really make sense otherwise.
idk was i the only one who thought this? haha... but ultimately i DID like how the show used sasaki's moments of sort of bordering on the aggressive BL trope, because he feels the impulse, and then talks himself through that it's not caring or respectful to do that and doesn't do it. which is so lovely! and realistic! and miyano's issues with looking like a girl also, and how he grows to feel comfortable enough to dress up as a girl for his class and to not have it mean something because of how supportive sasaki has been.
I know no one asked, but if you were still wondering, 'to' is the Japanese word for 'and'. So the title is the ship, lol.
Sasaki. The king of consent 🤣
Why is that first video of Sasaki and Miyano where I saw my thoughts about this title like “Oh thanks god here no typical BL tropes”? I’m really disappointed about in Russian TH-cam we’ve no one who talks about that. Everyone just joking “Hah that’s gay” and all
(Sorry for bad English 😅)

Yeaj, it's a beautiful show. I love the art style and all the characters. They're so beautiful 😭 the only thing is i genuinely can't stand the 'plot'. If there's any at all.
